"We visited several times, but unfortunately, the quality of the food declined with each visit. I tried the mango lassi but found it far from what I expected. If you're in the Northwest and have no other options for Indian food, I might consider returning, but only under those circumstances. Also, the person taking our orders didn't speak English, which made it difficult to adjust the spice levels according to our preferences. Overall, you might find yourself having to deal with unexpected heat levels."

"This place has great food, but now I rarely get to enjoy it now that the lunch buffet is gone. I loved stopping in for the lunch buffet during work. Now that there?s no buffet and no lunch menu or specials it?s not possible for me to enjoy my favoritedishes. I typically come alone, but now the servings are too large for me and I?m not able to get my leftovers in a fridge soonenough. So instead of paying $13 for a lunch buffet, my check is now $7 because I get full off one appetizer. Hopefully they getthe buffet back or at least get some lunch specials going or else I don?t know when I?ll be back."

"I've consistently had a great experience at this restaurant. Most of my orders are for takeout, and I've noticed a difference in the cooking quality depending on whether I order on a weekend or a weekday—weekday orders tend to be the best, though I'm not sure why. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area, and my boyfriend and I always come here when we want Indian food. I especially love the vindaloo and pakoras. However, I’m not too happy about the price increase for some dishes, considering the portion sizes. Because of that, I haven't been ordering as frequently."

"Taste of India is by far the best Indian cuisine I've had! We've tried out comparable restaurants in town as well as across Wisconsin, nothing is comparable. The staff is wonderful and kind. The owner is constantly walking around and interacting with customers. She is incredibly personable. We've ordered take out multiple times and the food is just as delicious as it is dine in. I highly recommend the chicken/mushroom curry, masala of any kind, mango beverage, and the most flavorful naan you will ever try! Ask the staff for recommendations as they have never steered me wrong!"

"I walked in here after seeing a YouTube review from a food show and was already to order. When lo and behold I was told this location does not serve dosas etc...The location on the YouTube review was 2 to 3 miles down the street another branch... Since I was already here and eat Non vegetarian too I decided to eat lunch here. I quickly looked up the reviews for this location and was not impressed. They were not good..... I looked at the Menu and decided to order anyways...The waiter was not friendly at all. I saw the cashier walk by so I asked her what should I eat. She suggested Vijaywada Chicken biryani. I generally prefer Goat over Chicken. She said it did not come in the Vijaywada style so I ordered the Chicken. For appetizer I ordered the Punkulu... Result.... The Biryani was delicious so yumm6 the meat was succulent and soft. The Punkulu was great too for a snack. A must visit place for Indian food lovers. I have to add although the waiter was not good the server, the man who got the food from the kitchen was super friendly and nice. He even talked to me about the different dishes and which one is a must try. His name is Ernesto...ask for him if you need suggestions! The menu does not have the right prices. I paid $3 more than what the menu said Enjoy"

"Only the snacks were good. Being a guest there I felt the food was very bad. At the end of the party I saw how all the foods were thrown away. The food is the main thing. Also the music system didn’t work. All we wanted was a good party. They promised many things to do but ended up doing nothing. Personally we won’t prefer this place. The hall is very pretty but music, dance, food drinks makes it more special and everything got spoiled. Even the drinks were finished which they were supposed to provide according to their thing. I feel bad for my friends and being a human would like to share our experience and point of view as a guest. Thanks"

"NOTE: Photos are how it arrived from DoorDash not necessarily the restaurants fault. That being said the lids on their styrofoam containers break very easily. Pros: good food Cons: I don't know if it was the restaurant or DoorDash but half my order was missing. I only noticed the soda missing at first because I was dealing with the swimming mess of my food so DoorDash only credited for the soda and refunded for the dish that became a pool. Next time I will order pick up. Four stars because I am assuming the catastrophe that was this order was a combination of DoorDash and normal human error (things happen) and I am not going to dock them for the poor way that DoorDash is handling things. I did take one star though because the takeout containers are terrible and I'm sure were a huge contribution to the mess that could have been avoided."

"This restaurant in North Scottsdale serves the best Indian food. We have tried at least 10 Indian restaurants in the Phoenix area, and this one is top-notch. We stumbled upon Al Hamra on our way home and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious lamb vindaloo and a variety of other dishes we ordered. My wife loved the samosas, although I wasn't as impressed. Overall, the chef demonstrates skill in the kitchen, and the food is consistently excellent. While it may be a bit pricey due to its location, we highly recommend dining at Al Hamra."

"I come during lunch and it's busy, but a place to sit. You get seated and they take your drink order. They'll bring you a tall decanter of water, a glass of ice with a lime wedge. A plate of naan bread, Also the drink you requested. And you are free to pick up a plate and serve yourself from the buffet. The food is delicious and no overwhelming saltiness, or spiciness, or other common chef errors. I had basmati rice pilaf, butter chicken, tandoori, and their yogurt sauce. The drink came in a 20oz bottle so I was able to take the rest with me to work. 20.31 plus tip. Fantastic deal. In and out in 30 minutes with my stomach full of that plate. I'll be back. It's also very clean."

"We came here for dinner because we had a synergy gift card and they accepted it and we wanted Indian food. We ordered the Saag Paneer and Tikka Masala with chicken. The tikka masala sauce was delicious and the chicken was pretty good not dry. I just wish the pieces were smaller. We needed a knife to cut the pieces. The saag paneer was okay. Lots of sauce but not much paneer. Portion was good for the two of us plus leftover enough for one of our lunches. This was a casual place where you order at the counter and then seat yourself. Clean and bright. Service was okay. Not very friendly when we went. Prices are reasonable. Parking was easy on this Saturday evening. Probably does more of its business on weekdays."

"2 weeks ago, I ordered a mango lassi, saag paneer, and naan bread. When I was opening my bag to check the order at pickup, the attendant said not to worry, he bagged it himself and it was good. Then he stapled it up again. When I got back to work with my order and sat down to eat, there was no naan in the bag. I sent an email to the restaurant that same day asking for a refund for the missing item, or a credit for a future order. I never heard from them. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning. Service: Takeaway Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"

"I wanted to comment on an experience I've had 2 times here now that has really left a bad taste in my mouth because I think it's a bad practice. I went with my brother, who is a somewhat regular customer/ knows the owner, and we ordered the same dish (vegetable biriyani). The servers were quite attentive this time, which was great. However, when the food arrived, I noticed they gave him a double portion of biriyani, and they gave me a much smaller portion. This is the second time this has happened here. I understand the restaurant serving smaller portions to make profits, however I found it insulting that for the 2nd time in a row that I had eaten there with my brother they had given me half the serving they had given him. In my opinion you should treat both guests equally who are eating together or better just treat them the same as the other customers. To be honest, I think I will prefer to try other Indian food options in Tulsa the next time I'm in town after having had this rude experience twice, as it left me feeling kind of insulted (not to mention for what they charge for the food nowadays)."

"We arrived around 6:30 PM and the restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated relatively quickly. It was my boyfriend's first experience with Indian cuisine, and I was genuinely excited for him to finally try it. I had never been to this restaurant before either, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I ordered the goat biryani, which was excellent; however, I regretted listening to the server, a middle-aged man with glasses, who 'warned' me about other customers complaining that the spice levels were 'too hot.' I really enjoy my food spicy, so I wished I had chosen level 5 instead of the level 4 he insisted on. That said, the dish was very aromatic and flavorful, and there was a generous portion of goat meat, though the $18 price felt a bit high for the serving size. I would consider returning but would request a different section to avoid the same server. A note for future diners: our food took about 38 minutes to arrive, so be prepared for a long wait. They do offer some complimentary appetizers—crackers with a tamarind-chili dip and pickled onions—which was a nice touch."

"My first time going there as my friend hosted an after hour party exclusive for us. So I didn't get to see the entire place. But from looks of it, it looked like pretty decent size event center built in the Indian restaurant. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but they were constantly working cleaning our food tables keeping it organized"
