"It 's easy to impress me. I don 't need a fancy party with caviar or champagne...nor do I need scintillating company...give me the most rustic, homey food and my family for company with some good laughs thrown in...and I am over the top impressed We went in here with low expectations and a groupon $40 worth of food for $29 . I looked at the menu online and it looked good standard north indian . One thing worth noting is prices in the online menu are different from the prices in the printed menu in the restaurant eg. we ordered the Maharaja Non vegetarian Royal Feast for two which is listed on the online menu for $40.95 but was actually $44.95 in the printed menu . That said the food offered and their service was well worth the money spent. We left tummy full and very happy with the courteous service shout out to Harry the host who patiently answered our questions about the meal and was over all wonderful! We also saw a lot of people walk in and out and try their appetizers as a part of a Restaurant Walk...they were leaving blown away with the experience and happy : Now coming to the meal we ordered the feast because we wanted to taste a variety of different things They started us off with the roasted papadum which was brilliant with the sweet tamarind chutney and the spicy koriander chutney. Our appetizers were a malai chicken tikka which was very well spiced, flavored and tender/moist and a sheekh kabab lamb which was flawlessly executed. Our main meal was a Lamb Kheema Matar again executed perfectly, really well cooked and a chicken tikka masala which my son absolutely loved . With these entrees they got us whole wheat tandoori rotis we didnt ' want the garlic naan as it 's cooked with white flour/maida and they graciously substituted...bottomline if you ignore the health flag I have heard that the garlic naan is OUT OF THIS WORLD and mildly flavored basmati rice. They got us an order of Dal Makhani Which was excellent and I lived in Delhi, so I have had some really good Dal Makhani ,a peas and potato curry excellent! and raita it was good! . Harry also got us raw red onions and lemon to complement our meal we asked for it and he remembered to get it for us with our meal . He got us extra tandoori rotis as my family is not a rice eating family at no charge . Our dessert was soft, yummy Gulab Jamoons with Kheer....that my son annhilated. We will definitely be repeating this experience it was brilliant !!!"

"We were for hungry women looking for something delicious to eat. We stumbled across this place because it was right in the vicinity and we were happy we did because the food was delicious. However, when we ordered the food we found out that they charge you for the rice. I have never ever seen any Indian restaurant in Long Island that charges for rice. It was ridiculous I will order was over $85 and we could not have been given any rice with our entree?????? We thought it was absurd. So I went to go and pick up the order I spoke to one of the staff members who stated that Rice does not come with the order. So I'm assuming that when an order is made by phone or when we sit at the table we would not get any rice how absurd is that really. I understand the pandemic has placed a lot of business in the rear however this was really ridiculous. The staff member was pleasant and as I explained to him I have been to many restaurants specifically Indian restaurant where they would gladly serve rice with an entree especially with an order that was $85 or more. I gather he understood how serious this was to us he then decided to give us an order of rice but I informed him we already began cooking up our own rice at home and that it was not necessary. I don't think it should be one should force a staff or a business to give rice to their customers when their order is expected to come with rice. I saw nothing on the menu that said rice was not included. Now I don't know if this only pertains to outgoing orders or seated in the restaurant but I'll tell you what even though the food is not was absolutely delicious we decided it wasn't worth the $6 and we will not be back again. I think this restaurant should really consider putting a smile on their customers face and change their practice of not including rice in each order we ordered four entrees and some appetizers. I will stick with the restaurant that I am familiar with from now on. This was our first time and certainly our last. It may not be a big deal for some people to pay the extra $6 but certainly one should be notified before the customer makes the order that rice is not included. No one should have to be surprised especially when they're hungry. One of the biggest traditions with ordering Indian food is to enjoy the rice with the meal so once again why not serve RICE? So to the owner can you please place on your menu that rice is not included so that no one else would be surprised when they get home with an entree of food and find that's all they have?"

"This is one of the best places to eat in San Jose. I'm not saying that they are a 5 star restaurant that will awe you with their incredible atmosphere. On the contrary, they are a small unassuming spot in a strip mall where every dish and each person welcomes you in with comfort and genuine flavor. On top of that, they have an entire counter full of beautiful and delicious sweets.I am not an expert in cuisine from India, so I can't tell you which region their menu best represents but over the few years I've had to enjoy this place I've noticed that a very large percentage of their clients are Indian. So they must be doing something right in terms of authenticity.Thankfully they truly seem intent on spreading the love of their cuisine with anyone that walks through the door. The staff is knowledgeable and graciously patient with all questions about the menu.Normally I would break down the meal we just had here but it honestly does not matter. If you enjoy Indian cuisine or are curious about it, come here.Vegetarian options: There is a great selection of vegetarian dishes. The Vegetable Biryani is delicious.Parking: This is a strip mall. There is a great deal of parking, but you might need to cross a bit of parking lot to get to the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a Wheelchair accessible ramp up onto the sidewalk very close to the entrance. There are a few tables in he center of the restaurant that can be set up for people with limited mobility.Dietary restrictions: They are very good about answering questions concerning ingredients and substitution when possible."
