"We had a trainee as our server, but she was delightful. The manager was also very helpful and knowledgeable, especially when it came to accommodating my son's food allergies. For only $30, the two of us were able to indulge in two full meals with two sides each, as well as biscuits, cornbread, and a full breakfast platter.
The roast beef with mashed potatoes and mac 'n' cheese was $12 and despite the meat being slightly dry, the flavorful onion gravy made up for it. The mashed potatoes were good, my son even rated them an A+. The mac 'n' cheese was a standout, earning a solid A rating. The fried apples and biscuits were also delicious, while the corn muffins were just okay in my book. The breakfast platter with pancakes, eggs, and bacon was priced at $10, and though I found it a bit expensive, it was all cooked to perfection.
Overall, the food was a solid B+/A in my book, with the chicken and dumplings being a standout dish that pushed it into the A range. I am very pleased with my experience at Cracker Barrel and will definitely be returning."
