"PLEASE SEE PHOTOS Update: Initially received message from Pinecrest Bakery Miller to email and settle a refund, and then the message was changed to saying that they investigated the complaint and without speaking to us it was determined that a box was actually offered, and they did confirm that it was not the right size because it was custom . I didn 't know a 14 inch cake is so custom . WHEN YOU GO TO LUCILLAS and buy a 14 inch cake you get a 14 inch box. You ask for a 12 inch cake and guess what? You get a 12 inch box. I went to party City and simply said Hi can I have a 14 inch cake box . And they had a TON of em. Didnt have to custom order them. Furthermore they retracted the offer for a refund based on that the cake box that was offered that wasn 't the right size, but at least it was offered... but I guess all the holes, folding, and discolorations on the fondant (see pics) didn 't outweigh the box issue. Please buy your fondant cakes at a more reputable place in, case it rains and they don 't have your custom size box. The croquetas are great though 5 stars on those. Summary Points: As per employee, the cakes are outsourced to another vendor. Pinecrest bakery does not make their cakes. I paid $125 to be handed a cake without a box and then told that it 's not her problem that I didn 't get a box! The attendant said she doesn 't have to hear the complaint because this is not her problem, it 's the problem of whoever makes the cakes and buys the boxes to supply. She told me that verbatim, NOT MY PROBLEM The cake has red and blue stains, holes, and the fondant is bubbling all the way around (see pics). Furthermore they added an ugly border trim because they do not know how to flush the ends. I didn 't ask for a border, I asked for a flushed edge. Review: The buying process was simple. I requested to have a cake made one week ago. No problem there. On the day of pickup (today July 05, which is my birthday) I go to pick up the cake and was handed the cake without a box. When I asked for the box the lady said she didn 't have one. I asked how it is possible to take a fondant cake out of the store and transport it WITHOUT A BOX. What if it were raining? It 's Miami. Besides, where do you go buy a cake and get it handed to you wide open to air. She remarked very sharply that this isn 't her fault and it is the fault of the person who makes the cakes and buys the supplies, and then offered a box that is almost one and a half times bigger than the cake. A proper fitting box protects the base and allows you to hold it without the cake slipping around the box, especially when there are decorations that will be put on it. I let her know that I understand it 's not her fault personally, obviously, but as a worker she still needs to understand the problems that happen in the business to tell management. "Don't waste your time going here unless you like no service and cold food! We stopped here passing through town. It was maybe half full. The lady was very friendly and took our order (4 meals and a appetizer)and after that it was all down hill. After we ordered we noticed there was a pizza sitting under the warming lights and thought wow that stinks whoever is getting that pizza. They finally came and took it to the people after walking past it several times. Then we noticed someone's appetizer was sitting under the warming light for a good 10 minutes both ladies walked past and looked at it several times. Well now she brought out two of our meals and came back with the appetizer that was sitting there for 10 min then brought our other two meals out. The two pastas that we ordered were both cold also. Both hamburgers were hot so im guessing the pasta got done first and was sitting back there waiting for our burgers to cook. Three bites into my meal my pop was empty and remained empty until I had two bites left she came to fill it. Both women were more worried about clearing off dirty tables(there was plenty of tables clean it was only half full) then taking care of the people that were there eating. We didn't complain or say a word about the lack of quality of food or service because we didn't want to wait for new food since we wanted to get back on the road. But as soon as I laid the money down to pay that was the quickest the server got to our table all night. We have been traveling through MN since Tuesday and this has definitely been the worst service our whole trip. There were other places that were more packed and same amount of servers and we still received better service at those places."

"Look at your receipt what you arecharged .We went today placed an order. As soon as order was placed I noticed they overcharged us and asked them to undo incorrect charges already charged to the card . The other attendant also said the same. Basically: They tell us there’s no management there’s nothing they can do about it . I told them they needed to call management to tell them how to fix it . I ask them to void the ticket . And put the Charges through correctly as to what we ordered . 2 Cuban cafe con leches , one stuffed potato two Cuban bread toast came out to over $32 plus incorrect charges included or added things we did not buy . This also Included it a tip we did not agree to and was not given an option. This is for a self serve no service . It ended up that at our persistent request to get a hold of management. Whoever they called on the phone seemed to also not know how to void their error on the ticket the attendant refunded us in cash the charges for things we did not buy we got charged for on the card . But told us the tip that they included they could not credit . $4 plus they basically for a tip not agreed on.It seems they have 2 Attendants who just came to this country . Who don’t speak English they don’t conveniently know how to operate a cash register but do conveniently know how to charge you for things you did not buy tell you to your face they don’t have management to undo their overcharged ticket . Even in Spanish they play stupid make errors in their favor plus a tip they did not earn includedIt’s no wonder even on their receipt it shows in small print they give you a credit for cash purchasesIt is shameful to say the least how this business operates ?"
