"I called to place an order for pick up. Asked how much was a large tripe soup with rice, lady said $14 but I couldn?t place the order I had to go to the restaurant. I go to the restaurant, my order is ready and she said I have to pay $21. ??? What!! wewent back and forth and I reminded her that I was the person she spoke to over the phone. But the funny part is when I said Iwas not paying $21 for a tripe soup and a small rice. She said ?but we already warmed up the soup for you? ??? Lol It?s not EVENMADE TODAY!? I definitely don?t want it now. SELLING ME A SOUP WHO KNOWS HOW OLD IT IS FOR $21. I walked over to LiberatoRestaurant on 183rd Jerome ave. They charged me $13 ; (by the way, I am aware that restaurant food can be there for days I wasjust being extra for her trying to rip me off."

"Have to try the pollo a la planca definitely made with the perfect amount of seasoning. Also their pollo con hueso is amazing. Go here also for their night life and the dj always has the newest songs and the employees make you feel like family! Also bottle and drink prices for the bronx are super affordable. The hookahs here are one of the best I've had and prices are the lowest I've spent in a while in the bronx"

"I go here all the time as a dominican myself the only criticism is please put less saltly flavor in the sancocho, i know we are to combine it with white rice but still. Food is good, beans are soft and delicious, and mangu is just right in texture and if you call they have the order for you to pick up when they say. Dining in they are good, attentive to come by, but sometimes it can be hard to get your servers attention when its not busy because they are all at the front desk taking walk-ins."

"Meal Type: Lunch Price per Person: $20–30 Food Rating: 4/5 Service Rating: 4/5 Atmosphere Rating: 5/5 I highly recommend trying the Maduros (fried sweet plantains) and Tostones (fried green plantains), both of which were delicious. The Ceviche de Camarones was fresh and flavorful, while the Vaca Frita and Pollo were cooked to perfection. The service was attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was lovely, contributing to an enjoyable lunch. Overall, a great place to visit!"

"My appetite is a happy camper since I started doing Uber deliveries. I’ve been able to discover so much delicious food and local favorites.Normally, after picking up from a certain restaurant over four times, I start asking the customer’s opinion of the food at drop off. This particular customer responded that at that point they ordered from this restaurant every day for the past three days. I was convinced and had to try.The rotisserie chicken is tinder, well seasoned yet and cooked perfectly. You can choose between white and dark pieces. The flavor sits within each bite of meat, the Sofrito rice compliments perfectly with the beans. And that garlicky sauce, OMG….that’s how you could wind up eating from El Nuevo Tina for next three days."

"The food is too pricey, they serve you only a half of cup of beans and white rice. Usually authentic restaurants serve you more beans then that especially if it's for two people. Their bathrooms have water saving old system which sadly they need to change asap. It gets clogged to easy and to me that's a big don't go back. They only get 2 stars because they do have a bar and the place is bit centric for a stop and go but I would not recommend it for a picky, clean eater like myself.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp but don't go past 4:00pm too crowded."

"I have ordered from this place 2 times and I was very disappointed The 1st time I ordered the lunch beef stew I paid $9 lyrics for a small plate a ra small plate a rice and beans were pretty good the stew had an overwhelming taste of salantro There was only about 4 small pieces of meat in it 2 potatoes and one piece of carrot the 2nd time I ordered the lunch special I decided to get the rotisserie chicken for $9 I expected a 1/2 a chicken Instead I got one wing that was so hard I can barely bite through it 1 Hard overcooked leg. I'm not so sure about the other menu items yet I didn't have an egg and cheese sandwich there that was really good though Maybe they're sandwiches are better than their lunch specials"

"The mofongo here is fantastic! It's so moist that you don’t even need to add any sauce on the side—I enjoyed it just as it was. The prices are very reasonable, and they have cheesecake available as well. It’s definitely a must-try!"

"Let me start by saying do not order the boneless chicken.. I've ordered boneless chicken from other restaurants before that were prepped with 100% chicken breast.. we had to send the boneless chicken back for a second time because it was chewy and it smelled like they used recycled oil to prepare it.. Aside from it looking pink and undercooked inside...smdfh...The rice and beans was ok... When the waitress returned with the second order of newly cooked boneless chicken, it looked and tasted the same as the first order..We have had enough and just paid for what we were able to eat and left..That chicken seemed to have been made from other chicken parts as well like legs and thigh meat...Was not tasty at all and nobody in my group liked it adults and kids) .. I Don't recommend the boneless chicken..To be honest, I wont ever eat there again..Their Dominican style cuisine was subpar.. I've had better from other local spots.. They dont even have a restaurant by grade yet pending)..My honest opinion...Go to Campesino Dominicano in the Bronx instead or Casa Del Mofongo in the Heights...smdfh at this restaurant.."

"I was quite satisfied as a weekly customer until the prices were no longer consistent the very same meal at the very same time the following day went from 13.00 to 20.00 the very next day so clearly the man at the front is either senile or just makes up whatever price he feels like that day they will no longer get my business operating like that"

"I absolutely love the food at this restaurant! They offer a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The customer service is decent, and it’s a quick in-and-out experience. However, I rated the service a 3 because I believe that when I pay for something, I should receive exactly what I ordered. If I ask for gravy without beans, that’s what I should get."

"I was so looking forward to eat at this restaurant as my friend has been going here for many years since the time she lived in BX until now years after moving to the DC area. She has always raved about their food so we knew it was a must to stop by there last night to get our plates of food to take with us back home. We bought rez guisado con arroz y habichuelas. She also bought a small portion of chicken guisado because she noticed the portion of the rez guisado they served was small. Everyone’s demeanor seemed as though they were just ready to just close shop and be on their way. Granted it was late when we arrived (around closing) but there was still food available and rendering proper customer service and good food is a must at any hour for a food establishment. One particular lady was not very pleasant and when I tried to carry a short conversation with her about how we were taking the food back home to show how excited we were, she didn’t say a word to me until I repeated the comment to her in Spanish twice more loudly the second time (although politely) so she could tell I knew she was being rude. Her reaction when she did respond was “ah ok” and then she proceeded to serve the rest of my order. Also my portion of red beans/habichuelas were served in a small plastic container and when I opened it today to reheat my plate of food at home there was literally no beans and nothing but the sauce in the container (check the pictures). The rez guisado was basically three chunks of meat with three potatoes and barely any sauce was added. The yellow rice was very dry as well. Overall the taste of the food was mediocre and so was the service. My friend says the quality of the food has definitely changed and for my first experience it will definitely be the last."

"El Valle Restaurant in the Bronx is disappointing, especially if you're Black—they tend to ignore you. It's unfortunate because Dominicans are Black, yet they often behave differently."

"Slow service on a Wednesday afternoon with barely any customers. Went there for a quick bite and waited patiently for a while, but after 20-30 minutes I had to flag down the server to let her know we were ready to order, to which she responded “I’msorry give me a chance”. Waited another 10 minutes to have my order taken, and after all was said and done, it was 50 minutesuntil I got my food. Now... 50 minutes doesn’t seem too bad, but keep in mind that I didn’t order anything special. Iordered rice, beans, and chicken which is ready to be served in the front. Imagine how long it would’ve taken if I would’veordered something that needed to be prepared... that’s why you can’t wait 30-40 minutes to take someone’s order. Not onlythat, but food isn’t what it used to be. I was extremely disappointed. Chicken was super dry. Had to have a sip of water to beable to swallow the chicken. There beans used to be fire too; not anymore though. I’ve been here a couple of times before, but according to another review they have new owners. I won’t be coming here again."

"I quite enjoyed the food for a place we randomly walked into. But why $6.24 for a few pieces of lettuces and tomatoes? It was the size of a small side dish (wish I took a pic of it) that came with the chicken stew. At least bother to put a few avocados slices? Oh and note that 18% gratuity is automated included. All in all, solid homemade food but unhappy with how they charged. Not sure I’d return because of it."
