"My husband and I used to visit China Chef frequently, especially during our early dating days 26 years ago, but we hadn't been in a while. Remembering how much we loved the food and atmosphere, we decided to take a drive there for dinner. We arrived at 4 PM and noticed there were no cars in the parking lot, which made us worried the restaurant might be out of business. Upon entering, we found the lights were off, but they turned them on as we were being seated, which felt a bit unsettling. Unfortunately, the interior was not as we remembered; it was quite dirty. The walls were grimy, there were crumbs in the creases of the seats, and the carpet looked worn and unclean. We ordered egg rolls, but they were unpleasant; the filling was sticky and clumped together. We took one bite and sent them back. For our main courses, we ordered beef chop suey, but it tasted far from fresh and was lukewarm. Naturally, we ended up leaving it untouched. After paying the bill, we left still hungry, having wasted $40. We ended up stopping for dinner elsewhere. We're very disappointed and won't be returning. This is definitely not the China Chef we once enjoyed."
"The service was a bit slow but that’s totally to be expected all with in a matter of ten min two separate tables came in two older ladies with orders to go(that were quite RUDE I might add, giving the poor girl a very tough time) and four door dashers two with large orders all came In at once... you could tell the girl was a bit overwhelmed even the door dashers were making comments, but she held her composure and got everybody their orders even in those overwhelming circumstances... I know they are a restaurant and that’s to be expected but on a Monday it’s hard to find Chinese restaurants open so I thought she handled everyone very well, even with rude comments being thrown at her. My son and I loved our food and it came out hot and good proportions. We definitely will be going back!"

"I was contracted to work on the site being developed across the street from Bayview Plaza, and during lunch, I needed two of two things: Food for my belly A bathroom for my smelly My choices were Soo Fong, Subway, or the HR Block at Bayview Plaza. Like the movie Yojimbo, I threw a stick into the air, planning to walk in the direction that it was pointing towards. Soo Fong was my fate, and if I could, I 'd give that stick a promotion. Lemme tell you about this Soo Fong. I walked in and was allowed to sit anywhere I so desired. I felt like Mufasa every where the light touched was part of my kingdom. I sat myself down, and immediately someone I deigned to be the dai lo of the restaurant started asking me about my haircutting habits: You shave your head? Yes. Man, you use razor? Yes. Every day? Yes. Ahhhhhhhh. You are crazy. You braver than me. I do the buzz. Razor? You are brave. Let me tell you, nothing makes you feel yourself more than having your pick of a seat, and then someone commending your bravery for shaving your head every morning. My middle name must be Everest, because I 'm the top of the world right now. Normally, my first order at a Chinese place would be scrambled egg and beef over rice, but with my ego riding high, I was feeling a little spicy. The waitress who took my order was wearing a Street Fighter 2 Dhalsim shirt, so I took this as the code that I needed some of that yoga fire. I ordered some of the Mongolian Beef over rice, but make that rice fried. PERFECT. The beef was tender, the beef was spicy. There was a decent amount of vegetables, but not too much (the way a lot of restaurants try to fill Mongolian Beef orders). The spice went from quarter circle jab to half circle fierce, because it went from yoga fire to yoga flame, but it was worth it. The Soo Fong website (soofongtogo.com) says Best food, good food, but I think they 're wrong there. Best food, best food. 10/10, would Soo Fong again."

"I used to visit this restaurant regularly until a year ago, and today was my first time returning. I'm not sure if they've changed their recipes or if it was just an off day, but my favorite Mongolian beef dish tasted more like fish than beef, and I couldn't eat it. I also heard that the orange chicken tasted different, but I never tried it before."

"We have been living in Gresham for three years and often pass by this restaurant. Tonight, we finally decided to give it a try. Coincidentally, it was also their first night back offering dine-in service. The exterior is vibrant and reminiscent of places in Las Vegas. However, walking inside, we were absolutely amazed. The space is clean, beautifully decorated, and has an overall fantastic atmosphere for dining. We were seated quickly and provided with menus. Within minutes, our drinks were served and our orders were taken. The service was excellent! Our server was friendly and once we received our meals, she gave us the space we appreciated. This will definitely be our go-to spot for this type of cuisine. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"

"I have never been so insulted in my life!!I ordered delivery from this restaurant and spent almost $100. When the food was delivered, I noticed we were missing a meal, so I immediately called the restaurant just to be told that I was lying…. Like, she literally said that I was lying. After going back-and-forth with her for what felt like forever, she offered me a refund, but I didn’t need a refund. I needed the meal because one of my kids couldn’t eat because we were missing his food. She told me that she could not deliver the food because they were getting ready to close early. I told her that I needed the food because one of my kids is missing dinner, and if I was lying about not receiving the meal and was trying to steal or get over on them, then I would have been happy with a refund of money, but that was not the case I needed the food, NOT the money. I asked to speak to the manager or the owner, and she stated she was the owner.Getting into the food review, it was mediocre at best, and I have definitely had better. I am not just saying this because of the way I was treated. The food really wasn’t that good at all. I will NEVER order from this restaurant again."

"I just ordered two roast turkeys for this Thanksgiving from the Blessed Garden Restaurant. I know it's a little early, but I want to put my order in first. I have my shares of roast turkeys for the past 20+ years, but I have never tasted one as good as the one made by the Blessed Garden Restaurant. Last year was my first year ordering turkey from them, they really surprised me because the turkey was the most flavorful one I have ever tasted. They first marinate the turkey, the same way they would marinate a roast duck. Then they put the turkey on the hanging rack that slowly turning 360 degree and continuing to pour seasoning on it. The result was a tender, flavorful and mouth watering turkey. Susan"

"that was our first time we were ordered by grubhub here, we wanted to try a new Chinese place. the delivery came here when promised and our whole food was originally good. but shortly after I finished my meal, crawling rangoons and the garnelenei foo young, I began to feel museal. I had a stomachache all night and felt like I had to choke. I'm sure I have food poisoning from this place. two stars to be fair because my friend feels good, and he ate the special Mongolian and bark rolls of the cook. we will not order from here again."

"Has anyone else experienced throat swelling from MSG in Chinese food? It hit me about 8 hours after I ate. In the middle of the night, I felt like my throat was closing up, and it was hard to breathe. It was a very scary experience. Even 24 hours later, I still feel a lump in my throat. I ordered from Chopsticks near Grant Park, and they seem to use a lot of MSG—be careful. I've had Chinese food many times before without any issues. I've been taking ibuprofen all day to help with the swelling. Next time, I will definitely ask for no MSG, but it’s frustrating because I've never had a problem anywhere else. After eating only a third of my meal, I had a close call with a medical emergency. Thankfully, my son hadn’t touched his food, and we ended up throwing it away. It was a waste of money, but it was better than risking a trip to the hospital."

"This restaurant offers casual dining with moderate prices. The menu is typical for a Mexican restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of my food. My dining companion and I shared the delicious Queso Fundido, which was topped with chorizo, charred jalapeños, onions, pico de Gallo, and a variety of tasty toppings on the side. The accompanying chips were extra thin and flavorful. I also tried the combo fajitas, which were well-seasoned, although the chicken and beef were slightly overcooked. Despite this, the dish was still delicious. I would definitely come back to this restaurant."

"The food is excellent and the delivery is prompt. However, the person who takes phone orders can be somewhat discourteous. He occasionally comes off as impatient and has a bit of an attitude. I recently called to request that they add a note in their system because they forgot my Sprite, as I was hoping to get a complimentary one on my next order. Unfortunately, he was rather unkind during that interaction. Despite this, I really enjoy this restaurant and tend to order from them about three times a week."

"I first discovered Ichiban years ago when they offered a wonderful 50% off deal on sushi, which made me an almost weekly customer. Sadly, Covid and inflation have caused that deal to go away, but even so the food is still very good, and the prices are in-line with the other sushi restaurants in the area. The restaurant does look a little threadbare though these days and could use an update. Also, while their menu is sufficiently diverse, they don 't offer any daily or seasonal specials that might make things a bit more exciting. That said, I really enjoyed my meal tonight. The staff and chef remember their regular customers and treat them well. When I came in, I was welcomed warmly and greeted by name, even though I haven 't been there in at least six months. To start, I had a simple green salad with the ubiquitous ginger-carrot dressing that can be found at virtually every Japanese restaurant in the country. The greens were crisp and fresh, and it was a nice way to start the meal. What came next was both unexpected and quite delicious. I was presented with a complementary appetizer from the chef that 's not on the menu. It was strips of fish tempura (some kind of white fish) that was drizzled with eel sauce and spicy mayo and topped with masago. For my main course I chose a double portion of their California Earthquake appetizer, which is essentially a California Roll that 's been coated in tempura batter and deep fried. It 's served with the same eel sauce and spicy mayo drizzle that was on the complimentary appetizer. This is a dish I 've been ordering for a long time, and truth be told, it was what I came to Ichiban for this evening. I 'm normally not much of a sushi roll guy. I prefer traditional nigiri sushi, but I 'm a sucker for this roll. The combination of the hot crispy coating, the creamy avocado, the crunchy cucumber and delicate kani, along with the spicy/sweet sauce is borderline addictive. I can 't really recommend Ichiban as a destination restaurant, but if you live or work nearby, or even if you just haven 't been to Ichiban in a while, it is definitely worth checking out."

"Don’t let the pictures on this restaurants web page fool you! We wanted to try somewhere new, that was a total bust. By the looks of pictures the food should have been amazing. WRONG. The staff was friendly, I’ll give them that but there was not really any service when I needed to get my own plate/silverware and drinks. We thought we would be sitting at a table around a cooking, making food to order. Instead we got food that tasted horrible. Like it was re heated from a microwave. We ordered the steak/shrimp hibachi and some sushi, I have never not finished my sushi, but this tasted like it was frozen and thawed out. Neither of us finished our meals, we bussed our own table and left extremely disappointed. We even read reviews, I’m not sure what these people were ordering to be so happy with what they received but we will absolutely never be returning. Complete total waste of $75. If I could give 0 stars I would. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"

"I hadn't been to this restaurant since before the pandemic, and I'm really glad I came back! I kept my order simple with egg rolls, pork fried rice, and chicken and rice soup. Everything was fantastic, especially the soup! The rice was tender and packed with flavor, and the egg rolls were a good size. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. I’m looking forward to returning soon to try one of their all-day dinner combos! If you haven't visited in a while, I highly recommend checking them out."

"On top of this place being ridiculously over priced, this is by far the worst rice I've seen in my entire life!!! Now I know can't nobody do like back home in St.Louis but this is utter trash. I decided I would order some plain fried fried and add my own ingredients when I got home. I was told that plain fried with just bean spouts is $9.50 which is higher than the shrimp fried rice!! I've been in the restaurant industry 15 years and I know the price point for shrimp and bean sprouts is no where near the same. Then I open my box and see this. The rice isn't even fried. Just soy sauce thrown on top. I understand it's Covid and all but this place deserves nobody's money when they're putting out this kind of mess."
