"Our server, Sara, was incredibly helpful and courteous. When I inquired about the signature dishes at Lyla's, she highlighted their breakfast options, sandwiches, and Mediterranean cuisine. I decided to try the Appetizer Combo, which included hummus, deliciously smoky baba ghanoush, impressive tabbouleh, crunchy falafel, and pita bread (just a note, it didn’t come with a pickle, even though one appears in my photo). I also ordered the Combination Platter, which featured beef kafta, shish kebab, shish tawook, lamb, rice, and grilled vegetables. The food was delicious, but I recommend bringing a friend to share the meal with because it was quite a lot for one person."

"The daughter took me here for Father's Day Brunch, chips always on point never greasy never cold salsa ever fresh and tasty not too spicy. "I arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM, and the door stated they closed at 8:00 PM. I called to confirm, and a rude woman answered, saying, "The restaurant closes at 8, but the kitchen closes at 7:30." Does that even make sense? If I could give them zero stars, I definitely would. "We stopped here on a long road trip (Bay Area to Portland and ordered carne Asada Burritos and a shredded chicken burrito to-go. The owner was really friendly, he brought us around to pick our Jarritos. My son loved that, he also gave us a promo bottle opener. We would totally love to come back sometime for a proper sit-down meal. The menu looked like they have amazing brunch. The owner also mentioned that they have a garden area where you can enjoy your meal. The carne Asada was delicious. The burrito was perfect (and huge! and nicely wrapped with paper lining inside the foil. It made it easy to eat on the road."

"I was really looking forward to dining here, so much so that I waited in the parking lot until they opened. The restaurant itself is beautiful and located in a lovely part of the city. The staff were all very nice and incredibly friendly. I decided to try the vegan French toast, and when it arrived at my table, I was impressed by how it looked. However, I soon realized that the French toast was actually roasted with cinnamon and topped with fresh fruit, which I hadn’t expected. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped and wouldn't recommend it."

"My name is Gina. I have been going to Starview Diner for about 4 years now. I love it there. My husband and I go about three times a week. Sometimes we go for breakfast which is always delicious but we really enjoy dinner because of the mini meals. They are the greatest, you can get your meal, two vegetables or spaghetti, and a side of soup or salad for a decent price. Especially with these hard economic times, Starview is definitely doing their part. The service is great and the owners are always so friendly and personable."

"Is this a 5 star place? Not exactly. It 's an institution classic spot diner with a touch of elevation. It 's a classic diner that has been updated, and for that I give it 5 stars. No b.s service. Quick 'n straight to the point. Thr decor is updated. Someone is definitely thinking about you and your visual experience. The food is good. Protip: the gluten free toast is good and the crispy potatoes are so delicious. Those omelets look bangin ' too. My veggies skillet was delicious. The orange juice could be better."

"We had very mixed feelings about our dining expeience at 53 Kitchen Cocktails. The ambiance was great and the cocktail menu was wonderful. The menu was varied and we were mostly pleased with our meals. The staff is very disorganized. Upon entering the restaurant we were told that there would be a 15 minute wait, before we were even asked if we had a reservation. I told the hostess that we made a reservation on Open Table and we were quickly seated. The restaurant was not full, but there were quite a few large parties in the dining room, so perhaps the wait for walk-ins was to pace the kitchen. I ordered a cauliflower burger and it did not come out as advertised on the menu. It was supposed to be served with a lemon tarragon aioli, but that was missing. When I asked for it, I received something different that tasted like it had relish in it. The red onion jam on the burger was tasty. The warm salted pretzel bread was an excellent appetizer for the kids. The adults in our group enjoyed the cocktails! On Friday night, kids eat free, but there seemed to be a lot of confusion about that. The webpage advertises: Kids Eat FREE (12 Under) Fridays, 5PM–Close. 1 complimentary kids menu item per child with each adult entrée ordered. The hostess clarified that kids eat free with one adult entree from the Specialties portion of the menu. I ordered from the Burgers Sandwiches portion of the menu since that was the only option for a vegetarian. Our server didn 't know about Kids Eat Free and charged us full price. He seemed very flustered with the mistake. Overall, this place is probably better for cocktails and adult dining. If you plan to eat here, don 't bring the kids."

"I had not been to this restaurant in seven years. I was hoping for a more affordable experience. The food and service were excellent. However, when I received my final bill, a 20% gratuity had already been included by the management. That was not cool. I was planning to leave a 20% tip anyway, but I would have liked the option to decide on the amount myself. There was no mention of an automatic gratuity anywhere in the restaurant. Not cool!"

"I had the pleasure of having the Caprese Salad with jumbo shrimp yesterday for an early dinner. It was absolute perfection! The shrimp were grilled perfectly?nice and juicy, not over-cooked. Fresh greens were used along with tomatoes and mozzarellacheese. I topped it off with balsamic vinaigrette. I also had a side of zucchini marinara which was delicious! Hay una gran variedad, desde cosas muy sencillas como el especial de desayuno por menos de 3 dólares, que es un bagel untado con queso crema y un café o un té, hasta cosas mucho más rebuscadas (con bacon, ensalada, atún, jamón, lechuga, lo que sea! . Lo único que le reprocharía al lugar es no tener bastante claras las distintas opciones, lo cual me obligó a hacer varias preguntas al vendedor que acabó cansándose un poco de mí y de mi mal acento ; Pero no le quita interés al lugar, para un desayuno o almuerzo típico!"

"had bad experience here on Friday 29 June 2012. Breakfast in the morning and within 1 hour had bad cases of food poisoning that lasted three days. I approached Mr. D's owner a week later in his hotel. Although he immediately apologized He only heard about. 30 seconds to my account and returned the door before I could ask him for some kind of restitution. I lost bail on fishing trip that was canceled for food poisoning. His attack on the situation was as bad as the food in his diner."

"Food was great we went on Thanksgiving and it was packed! Made 230pm reservations and where seated by 310pm that was easiest part! We had to ask other waitresses for our waitress numerous times! She would come bring something and leave with plates and glasses all over the table she could've taken. She got 1 order wrong which isn't so bad but the time between when she checked on us was unacceptable and me and my girl sat without drinks for most of our meal after we were done we couldn't find our waitress for the check so we asked another to take it and she did so and forget About us for 20 mins we had to find her and remind her and she was c very apologetic.. honestly it was like they were all in on and trying to screw up that's how bad it was! The turkey dinner was good tho especially for all the sides with desert for 30$ a plate. Was 128$ for me and my girl with 2 drinks and her son just getting a dinner and coke"

"The food was delicious, and I have no complaints about that. However, I did have an issue with the food container. I ordered delivery through GrubHub and encountered two problems: the container leaked, and the plastic looked like it had melted from the heat. While I'm not asking for a change in the containers, I would suggest waiting a few minutes before packing the food in plastic. Even if it’s labeled microwave-safe, I personally feel that plastic and heat shouldn't mix. Thank you."

"We were craving crepes and decided to check out this restaurant nearby for brunch. The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was bustling with diners, but unfortunately, the servers didn’t seem very welcoming. We noticed that others who arrived after us were served first, and we had to wait a good 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. When a server finally approached, she asked if I wanted coffee, but her attitude came across as quite rude. I accepted the coffee, thinking it was complimentary. Shortly after, one of the friendliest servers, Anna, came to take our order, which really brightened our experience. We enjoyed the food, but the service felt uneven, and we didn’t quite understand why. There were moments when we felt a bit overlooked. If it hadn’t been for Anna’s warm greeting and genuine smile, we probably wouldn’t consider coming back. It’s crucial for all staff in a restaurant to be trained to greet customers with at least a simple smile—it shouldn’t be too difficult! Overall, it’s a nice place with good food, but they definitely need to work on their service."
