Very average Mexican food. Salsa was not spicy, and needed more salt. Good for heartier meals. I'm always disappointed when steak is advertised but it resembles ground beef. Service was good though!

Great service! Complimentary chips and salsa. Dog friendly patio. The food was delicious. And bonus... they accept Synergy cards from Costco! The chile Colorado plate was a total splitter... we shall be back. Gracias.

Terrible quality, used to be good. Sad to see a local restaurant stop caring about quality and customers. Too many terrible meals lately and we've lived in the area 24 years. Won't go back again. Too many good restaurants that are so much better. Don't waste your money on this place. View menu

Hard to find a Mexican place in Poway where you can enjoy a beer or cocktail with your food after 8:00 p.m. But this place delivers. Easy parking, laid-back atmosphere, super friendly service and nice, warm chips. Large selection of Mexican draft beer. My Charro Tostada Supreme was a deal at $10.99. Tender chunks of pork. Might request a flat corn tostada next time instead of the puffy flour one. Wife's $7.99 half order may have been the smarter option!

We had relatives in from Norway who really wanted to try authentic Mexican food. Called in a reservation for 9 people in the morning. The man I spoke to said he had another big table but he would try his best. Took our name and number. We show up at our reservation time and walk into a packed restaurant. I told the waitress about our reservation and she said oh we don 't take reservations on the weekends because it gets so busy. Why didn 't the manager who answered the phone say this? Our family from Norway was super disappointed and so were we.

Who says you can't go to a restaurant only for dessert :D I was today year's old when I agreed to go to this restaurant only for dessert. It seems weird but I guess nobody says you can't? We came only for 1 thing but actually ended up ordering two things...I was craving Flan SOOOO BAD, and this popped up! The Flan was eggy, but also cakey. It wasn't overly sweet, and it was a generous portion, good enough for two to be honest. but, we can never share a Flan.. The hubs and I also spontaneously ordered a half order of Churros (comes with chocolate chip ice cream). Only reason this gets 2 stars is because the service I received, even though it was only a take out order, was excellent. The other 2 times I had eaten here, the service was also excellent... ...the pitchers of margaritas are pretty good as well... ...However... ...The food here has been sub par for as long as I can remember. I 've lived in Poway for the majority of my life, and my family avoided going here pretty much at all costs. The chips have no flavor...not even a slight hint of salt. Lovely spot for Mexican food! We came on a Sunday around 12:30pm and were seated immediately. Service was friendly and attentive. This place serves solid, hardy Mexican and breakfast food at extremely reasonable prices. Free chips salsa too! Note that the salsa is not spicy at all. I had the adobada street tacos with beans and rice. I wasn't a fan of the sweetness of the meat which I felt could've been better offset if they had added more lime/onions/cilantro (tacos were mostly meat with guac and a bit of pico) but they were still delicious. My party also got the chilaquiles and the taquitos and had a wonderful experience, my friend was especially a huge fan of the spices in the potato sides...

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner. As the timing was a bit off I thought I might be disappointed but nooo! Upon arrival you notice this is an older establishment but homey all the same. We each ordered margaritas. Hubs ordered the blended strawberry and I ordered the skinny on the rocks, extra lime. We ordered entrees at same time as drinks as we were starving. Drinks arrived within minutes of hearing the blender working its magic. While we were both enjoying our drinks our food had arrived.
