You sit down at your local diner and see a group of 10 kids come in, order only 2 orders of fries to share, and then leave without leaving a tip for the server. Parents should do a better job teaching their children about the importance of tipping and treating others with respect. It's not right to treat servers like they don't matter. "Let's talk about Nelly's, a hidden gem in Long Branch that is bursting with flavor. The menu offers a variety of delicious greasy dishes. We ordered a stuffed Chicago pizza, mozzarella fries, and a white slice. The fries and white slice were fantastic, while the Chicago pie, though not what we expected, was still delicious. It had a unique Chicago-style twist that reminded me of a reverse margherita pizza. The sauce was sweet and the cheese tasted fresh. Overall, Nelly's was a fantastic dining experience, although I do wish they offered Chicago deep dish pizza on their menu."

"We decided to dine here for my niece’s birthday dinner. We felt a bit separated from the rest of the restaurant right away. We had forgotten our masks and asked if they had extras or we would go grab some. The hostess said it was fine and seated us directly to the side of the hostess station which was on the left of the front door. We had a party of 9 and had two little tables put together. We made a comment that it might be too little room and the hostess said “no, we will make it fit.” At one point I was stacking our plates on a barstool that was next to the booth. Our waiter seemed preoccupied with the rest of his tables, as we waited for refills for drinks for long periods and a side of guacamole that was ordered with a meal. He mixed up the kids meals and left out a Mac and cheese. He brought it when everyone was finished eating. Luckily our baby loves Mexican food. He might’ve had a hard time because he didn’t write down our order. On to the food! Mine and my best friend’s Chile rellanos were tasty. I ordered mine with extra cheese, but it seemed to have the same amount of my bff. They were very lacking in size compared to other rellanos I’ve enjoyed. My bffs husbands grande burrito was pretty good. He did actually think they left out the steak, but the waiter insisted it was there and sure enough he dug and found a few pieces. Not anywhere near 1/3 of the burrito like it’s advertised to have. The kids ate all their Mac and cheese and chicken fingers so they said it was yummy. The ground beef on top of my child’s nachos looked and tasted very greasy. She didn’t eat much. The enchiladas were good, but again lacking in portion. All in all, the service was poor, and the food disappointing. Some was tasty but maybe for lunch specials at a discounted price. We left feeling hungry and confused. For $150 bill we shouldn’t have to hit McDonald’s on the way home. I will say that it was also kind of uncomfortable where we were seated when it got extremely busy. Everyone watched us eating and we felt as though we offended the staff for not having masks. We certainly would’ve gotten them if the hostess had told us to. We would never want to make anyone feel uncomfortable or anything bad. I gave this two stars because most of the food was tasty."

"As far as Tex-Mex goes, this is one of the better places I've been. The chicken enchiladas with tomatillo Verde sauce is the best I've had at a restaurant. The chicken was well seasoned and the sauce wasn't too tangy or sweet. The Mexican rice was not good, in my opinion, but the cilantro rice was decent and had a little kick to it. The borracho beans were very flavorful! They were delicious. My husband got the diablo combo with chicken and shrimp and he said it was cooked and seasoned well. The shrimp were big and the butter sauce just made them even better. My son ordered the Rodriguez dinner and he really enjoyed it. We also had the Cadillac margaritas but they were not that good. I ordered mine on the rocks and it was pretty warm for a margarita... Definitely don't suggest getting those. Overall I'd definitely come back for the chicken enchiladas verdes and borracho beans!"

"Where do I even begin? The food? The staff? I used to think that all burgers were pretty much the same, but I was completely mistaken. When I took a bite of my burger, it felt like I was transported back to my childhood; it represented innocence in its purest form. I’ve often wondered why people write Google reviews, and I have to admit that 54th Street inspired me to do just that. You might be curious about what I ordered, but I won’t spoil the surprise. You’ll just have to experience it for yourself. I won't forget my time at 54th Street. I highly recommend it—10/10!"

"My meal from here was actually much better than I was expecting. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak w/ Gravy, Baked Beans, Mac Cheese, Peach Tea. The Chicken Fried Steak was very good tasted fresh, it was not ur average frozen patty. The Mac Cheese was alright, although it was a lil' too thick, needed to be looser I would've preferred ur traditional macaroni noodles instead of the cavatapi noodles, but it was edible. The Baked Beans were tasty, although they were also very thick they had a distinctive taste of Chili Powder. My Peach Tea needed to be mixed much better as the Peach syrup was all at the bottom of my cup. Overall it was a decent meal I would probably visit again. My biggest complaint would be: #1. They need to have a area on their online ordering where U can make Special Request to ur order, as I called immediately after placing my order online to add to my order the girl told me that I couldn't do it, because they were already preparing the order?? All I wanted was to add extra gravy!! If I'm paying for it, what difference does it make when they are preparing the order?? "

"Visited Rojo for Babes who Brunch and had an outstanding time! Despite a packed house they provided great friendly service and good food and cocktails. My only nitpick would be the bathroom situation which is not exactly inviting but would definitely return so it's not a deal breaker."

"We were vacationing here and craving Mexican cuisine. Jose Tequila's did not disappoint! Let's keep it simple. There was no wait. There was a bunch of extremely helpful waiters. There was a bunch of good food! Everything was also incredibly clean and inviting. Their guacamole dip was enough to win me over. It was very fresh and delicious. Our food was prompt, hot, and tasty. I can't remember what my dish was called, but I've attached a picture. It was a very healthy portion and did not disappoint at all. Definitely try this restaurant out!"

"The list of positives is short, so I 'll do it first the food served was quailty and we didn 't have to wait for a table on a Friday evening. The list of negatives is longer. 54th has removed so many items from the menu that figuring out what to order is a chore. I ordered an El Perfecto margarita and after discussing choices of tequila with the server, I finally just opted for house tequila. I was still charged an extra dollar for this!! It was also not mixed and had visible layers of sweet and sour mix and liquor in the glass. The El Perfecto also used to be served in a shaker container with a martini glass, and this wasn 't. The server didn 't know what I was talking about when I tried to tell him that it wasn 't the drink I was expecting. We ordered hot wings, and it came with a container of ranch that was approx. 2 ounces. We immediately ordered another ranch, and then sat there waiting for it for nearly 10 minutes, while the wings got cold and the children (who won 't eat hot wings without it) complained that they were hungry. The extra ranch came on top of our dinner order and no one likes to eat their appetizer with their dinner. 2 of my party had ordered iced tea and had to ask, and then also wait for, sweeteners. Our meals were good, as stated. But, when the bills arrived hoo boy!! No where was it posted that parties of 4 or more, which is NOT a large group, would automatically be charged 15% gratuity. To make this issue worse, it was broken up into 2 separate charges on the bill: gratuity and service fee, which was very confusing. After we left, we tried to call the 800 , which directed us to first call the store we had eat at, and when we did, no one answered. Luckily for us and not for them, 2 people in my group happen to be class action attorneys and are currently researching this."

"We are in town visiting my son at UCONN and we decided to give Red Rock Cafe a go. I must say the place was pretty busy. The staff is extremely is extremely pleasant, everyone we came in contact with. However as soon as you walk in, I did not get the greatest impression of the restaurant itself, excluding staff, restaraunt itself didn’t give off clean vibes. But the boys wanted to try it so we continued on. The menu is very big and so much to choose from that you get a bit overwhelmed. I opted to have the chicken wings, they had 64+ flavors to choose from. I had the mango pineapple. It was good. The wings were juicy, tender, and you could taste the mango pineapple a little bit, and I’m content that they were not drowned in the sauce. My husband had a bacon burger without lettuce,tomato,onion and came out perfectly. The waffle fries are a bit greasy but no worries none were left at the end of the meal?. My son had the same bacon burger but with all the finishes and he enjoyed his as well. The sodas though … I had a ginger ale disgusting! My husband and son both ordered cokes and each one tasted differently so we sent one back and now it tasted ok the weirdest thing ever since it’s out of the same machine not sure if it’s from dirty cups or what ! We opted to skip dessert"

"The taste of our lunch was on spot as it always is with 54th. The minor issues started with the hostess walking us to a table, laying the menus down and saying here ya go. That's was ignored by my group as we didn't mind worrying about it. The other small issue that surfaced was the server came to our table 2 times. Once for drinks and once for our order. She never came back. I had to ask her passing me if she wouldn't mind getting us more water (yes, i said excuse me, when you have a moment would you mind getting us some water). Which she did nicely (so i guess 3 times she visited). But we all noticed our server and other servers walking around talking on their phones in the dining room even as they brought things to the table. We are a kind group of individuals that don't like to make waves so we didn't say anything but the servers were literally delivering food and walking to tables with their cell to their ear. I don't mind you speaking on your phone but maybe not while walking by my table. I felt embarrassed to interrupt their phone call to ask for anything so my group didn't. This doesn't mean our food was perfect (it was). We are just a little considered about the management's ability to have the servers attend the visitors and not be on their phone."

"I ordered from the online menu and was in for a big surprise. The prices listed were completely inaccurate. One item I ordered online was priced at $16.25, but I was charged $23.00 when I received my bill. Another item that was $10.45 online ended up costing $14.50. After tax, my total should have been $28.78, but it came to $40.47 instead—a difference of $11.69. They really need to update their online menu to reflect the correct prices. I can't speak to the quality of the food since I was so disappointed by the pricing."

"To start, a restaurant that brands itself as a "Mexican Restaurant Embassy" comes off as quite pretentious. Perhaps that’s why it feels justified in charging some of the highest prices for standard Mexican dishes found at a chain establishment. We decided to skip the drinks since their menu didn't list any prices, which was quite frustrating. The complimentary chips and salsa sampler, however, were quite good. We both ordered the two-piece enchilada platter— I chose the cheese and beef, while my wife opted for the chicken and avocado enchiladas. All the flavors were delightful. One minor issue I had was that the rice was mixed in with the refried beans, making it difficult to keep them separate (I wasn't keen on eating all the beans). Our server was friendly and efficient, making it a solid choice considering the typical chain options available near our hotel."

"The service was great! Ambiance was good; we ate in a covered outdoor area and it was fine if a little noisy. Three taco dinners and two chimichangas all met with approval. A pitcher of margaritas received rave reviews! Cost was a fair value. When I have been here in the past, there was music; there was no music before we left before 8:00pm on a Tuesday. You need to remember this is not a five-star restaurant. What it is is a fun, casual place to enjoy a good Tex-Mex meal and a good time without breaking the bank."

"I ordered the Chile Colorado through DoorDash, and it was incredibly delicious—full of flavor and perfectly spiced. When I added the meal to my cart in the app, I noticed an option to get extra chips or salsa for an additional $2-$2.50. I opted not to choose that because I assumed "extra" meant that chips would be included, as is typically the case. Unfortunately, when my order arrived, there were no chips at all, which was a bit disappointing. I think it’s important for customers to know they should select the extra chips and salsa to complete their meal, as the dish really benefits from them. Other than that, everything was fantastic, and my daughter loved her burrito!"
