Tender mussels steamed to perfection, served with crispy golden fries for a delightful taste of the sea.

"I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The price per person was between $50 and $100, which I found to be quite reasonable for the quality offered. The food was absolutely outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. Each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive, also receiving a 5. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Lastly, the atmosphere was delightful, also rated a 5. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a pleasant evening out. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience!"

"Service was outstanding as usual. The food we had Tuna and Salad as well as Duck and Halibut were delicious. Wine by the glass good and good prices. Only problem it was Very cold! We had to move to different table and then it got Cold again. They said they changed A/C temp but it was not fun eating in a COOL breeze."

"what a great restaurant. I always wanted to get in, as it looked like a nice place from the outside and the French menu changed a bit what we usually find in the opposite. we went on a Tuesday for the prix fixe menu, daily for limited hours, but is all day on Tuesdays. my man got the Prix fixes and I just ordered and tempted because I didn't want to eat so much. well, that was my mistake, like the beet and goat cheese starter he had, plus the amazing cream broth with black johannisbeeren dessert (that I might have been a healthy amount of the extra calorie worth. in fact we had both stakfriten and the difference between the size of his and mine was negligible. I will not say that was a cheap meal, but the prix fixe was a good value for absolutely perfect eating. (I will say, although the oysters are not much to write home, but they have no control over how tasty they are. they were fresh and beautifully presented. we didn't even finish the meal before I said I would like to go there in 6 weeks. it is a stylish but irresistible and friendly place to which I cannot wait."

"Aged Ribeye w/ ? and Halibut Hasselbeck. Our meals were very tasty! My husband and I enjoyed a very satisfying anniversary meal. I anticipated superb service and it was a little disappointing with that part of the experience. We had a Sunday night dinner and it wasn't all that busy. Multiple times we didn't have water, and the cocktails we ordered were sub-par. However the food was delicious. The desert was also impressive and a fun surprise with flavors! We ordered the Panna Cotta which is molded and chilled dessert, this one seemed to have a vanilla bean flavor and was paired with pomegranate. So delicious! *To enter the restaurant the front door was locked which was a bit odd and we had to walk around through the back bar entrance and then back up to the front hostess. I'm giving them 5 stars because the food was absolutely perfectly prepared."

"We waited a very long time for our appetizers, and while just starting them, our entrees came out. The waiter seemed puzzled that we didn't want them right then, but took them back. When we finished our appetizers, our mains were brought back, and obviously had just been placed under heat lamps while we were eating our appetizers"

"My friend and I made a last-minute reservation on a Saturday. The food was excellent; we both ordered burgers that were cooked to perfection, and the fries were delicious. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts as well. While the service was a bit inconsistent—our waitress forgot to bring water and mixed up our burgers overall, it was friendly, and the atmosphere was much more casual and fun than you might expect from a place with such great food."

"Bad service, it was booked in advance for a birthday, it was not received like other restaurants, it was never mentioned that it was a special occasion (birthday), not even in the dessert, and the piece of meat like it was in Water thawed, tasteless, uncooked and hard, I don't think we will be back, this is the third time we go and it was very bad, I don't recommend it"

"I was called by Tom George to let me know that they were not going to be serving brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to reschedule for dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my party a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm on Sunday as I scheduled to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant did not call the next day and I decided I will not try to eat there again. So on Sunday I went to LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel where we had a lovely dinner which I knew I would because I have been there before.I do not know whose responsibility it is on Open Table to be sure the information about a restaurant is up to date and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me at any restaurant before."

"The food was good, but very overpriced. Not worth the price for the amount of food. My husband ordered the scallops. There were 4 for $35. The shrimp cocktail was excellent but 4 shrimp for $36. Will not be going back there. First and last time."

"We went to this restaurant on Mother's Day. Although we had a reservation, we didn't learn that there was a restricted Prix Fixe Menu in place until we were seated. Despite the restricted menu, which should have taken pressure off the kitchen, the service often was painfully slow, and we waited for over 10 minutes to receive hot beverages when we were seated; four hot dishes appeared several minutes before the other two came out. On the positive side, there is strong evidence of a serious traditionally trained chef reflected in the food. The Hollandaise on the Eggs Florentine was classic and excellent (rather than the glop that is usually served on eggs , well seasoned with tarragon, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The strip steak was outstanding, and the burger fine, but the duck was mediocre, curiously presented on a bland puree of pea. The breads were standout I am not a big fan of bread, but this bread was well worth eating! Dessert was a platter of 5 elegant confections, two of which were excellent, two of which were good, and one of which was tasteless. Our waiter had an accent (French? that made him hard to understand, and he also seemed to have trouble understanding us when asked about anchovies on a Caesar Salad he told us it was part of the dressing, but it was actually two fish laid on top of the dish (which I would have requested not to have if I had been given correct information . The menu itself was curiously constructed, with explicit information on some dishes, and not much on others. Although this restaurant is meant to be a brasserie model, it lacks the welcoming environment of this kind of setting that is usually established by the host and wait staff the only place this was in evidence was at the bakery, where the service was friendly and attentive. Because of the relatively high quality of the food, it is hoped that this restaurant works on its wait staff and kitchen organization, so that the food is optimally presented."

"My colleagues and I had reservations at 12 noon and was seated promptly. Since Burmese restaurant are rear in the area, we were really looking forward to this experience. While we weren't in a hurry, the restaurant was. Drinks were ordered and they pushed to have a food order at the same time. We choose to wait to order the food until the drinks were brought to us. We ordered the Burmese style beef and goat stew as well as the Moh Hin Ga (Fish Noodle Soup). While the sauces of the meat stews were nice, it wasn't spectacular! The stew meats were definitely not tender. If you enjoy tough meat, then these dishes are for you. Additionally, the Moh Hin Ga was lacking in flavor and in my colleagues words: "would not order it again". Also, soft drinks and iced tea and refilled complimentary. Given the rush and the below average experience, will not be going back. Given there their great Yelp ratings, there seems to be a lot of patrons that like it. Maybe we just attended them on a bad day or the normal Chef was not present that day..."

"it is from the season, but bell and anchor was busy and unaccommodating about the relocation of our reservation after minutes. frankly, our waiter was a smart guy. After our drinks had reached almost one, the appetizers came shortly. we ended the waiting times for the main courses, one of which had to be sent back because the well-made burger was rare. the host tried his best to help, but the waiter never apologized or checked with us. we no longer wanted to wait for the burger we said would be more than a few minutes, so divided one of the courts. we visited the restaurant outside the season and maybe the kitchen was simply underused, but I will not run back soon."

"Dear Can Can Head Chef, I'm literally typing this as I sit on the toilet in your ladies' room. Let me cut to the chase: your sorry excuse for a dinner salad for $8.50 should be a crime. It is...Paltry. Disappointing. Enough to make me EMBARRASS MY FAMILY so I could tell management. I notice you never showed your face, after my repeated complaints & requests to speak with THE CHEF. The mgmt reported to me: "The chef is stuck in his ways. He's not budging." Well. $8.50 is stuck in my wallet, Chef. And so is my business. I live in the neighborhood. I won't be returning. So disappointing. I have spent a lot of money here in a decade. No more. Over salad. You small-minded, short-sighted man. I'm blasting the internet with this picture of...."salad" at Can Can Brasserie in RVA. Oh no, not a SIDE salad.....a dinner salad for $8.50. #CanCanBrasserie #GetYourShitTogether"

"We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!"

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"the bastille kitchen is absolutely my new favorite spot! chef kendall and his personal skirt! I have been swinging weekly for several months and has never been disappointed. last night was another excellent culinary experience...from the door to go and greeted by the host andy, followed by attentive service of anna and phil. I have tried the dine out boston menu and enjoyed the incredibly delicious lobster bisque of the chef cook, followed by the equally delicious green circle huhn. next week on my next visit!"

"We had dinner at Cornerstone once before and we liked it right away. Service, food and ambience are good. This second time we had an early dinner and got there at 5pm on Saturday with only a few people by the bar. We sat by the kitchen and it was a great experience watching the chef and his team in action. My wife is kind of a clean freak person and the only disappointment was seeing one of the guys not handling things properly a few times. Other than that the please is great."

"We came here for my wife’s birthday and to celebrate her new job! They were the best! Literally from the first moment your reserve a table they start to serve you. They called us to ensure we had everything we needed to make our night special. The food and drinks were great. We had the server who was the size of a mountain with a heart of gold. We’ll definitely be back again"
