"This restaurant serves authentic Mexican cuisine that genuinely reflects the flavors of Mexico. It takes me back to the small eateries called "fondas" in Mexico City. Whenever I'm in the mood for Mexican food, I always order from here without hesitation. The dishes are delicious, the portions are generous, and while the customer service isn’t outstanding, it’s definitely satisfactory."

"9th Street Taqueria with friendly staff and owner. FYI: their English is light. There were a lot of plants and flowers around the 7 or 8 table spot, which were lovely. It was pretty cold in there. They were out of limes, so provided lemons. The cucumbers were unfortunately no good. The food was okay and came out hot. Tacos could have used more onion with all of the cilantro. Key needed for bathroom that the owner had to bring out from the back. It is a BYO and they have a cooler of juices and sodas. Will skip it for other options in the area next time."

"I’ve been craving papusas since my visit to El Salvador last year so decided to give Bahia a try. This place is awesome! Friendly staff and the place was buzzing on a Sunday for lunch. I was lucky to get a table. They’ve got all the traditional varieties of papusas I got a chicharron with cheese and a loroco and cheese. Also ordered the tipico plate, which had the plantains, cheese and refried beans. I’ve gotta say the refried beans were better than a lot of Mexican restaurants I’ve been. But the papusas knocked it out of the park as good as any I had in San Salvador. Served hot, the aroma of corn hits you instantly and the gooey melted cheese and fillings was so good! Ill be back!"

"There aren't many Mexican restaurants that put guacamole in there tacos. Luckly El Mariachi does! The tacos are seriously delicious. They let you order individual tacos so you can mix and match. Unlike other Mexican restaurants we're they force you to get a set of three tacos. Service is generally good and the menu is very affordable. They have three maragitas for $10 for happy hour which is pretty sweet. Parking is not the best. Take the train especially if your going for happy hour."

"Behold a hidden gem, this is the cleanest and most well kept restaurant in downtown paterson. Cant tell how nice it is to see that this restaurant gets professionaly sanitized weekly. I dont think i have seen this anywhere in paterson. You have to walk in to see for yourself how clean and well maintained this is compared to other restaurants in the area. I have come to learn that this a 3rd generation family run restaurant who have been serving the latin community 60 years . A nice variety of tradition central american drinks with a full bar . "This is a lovely kiche spot for good family Mexican. I especially love the Gorditas, the best I've had. The food is always been great quality and you can't beat the price. It's clean, and for anyone in the area, it is fun to see how they worked the place from an old fashioned ice cream shop. The service is great, watched and accommodate gluten free easily, and are just Kind and Nice. Really a great local small business to support. Dietary restrictions: They understand gluten free. "Decent Pupusas, not the best or even top 5. The revueltas had way more beans and cheese than chicharron, not balanced. Calamari good, the sauce was especially good, probably best taste of everything. "I was disappointed with my recent dining experience at this restaurant. The Camarones Soup did not meet my expectations compared to when I had it a few years ago. The Tamal Pollo had soggy and mushy masa, which made it unappetizing. The Queso Camarones and Queso con Frijol pupusas were average, but the Queso Jalapeño pupusa had excessively large jalapeño chunks that made it difficult to eat. Overall, I believe the quality of the food has declined. I would not recommend ordering the Camarones Soup, Queso con Jalapeño pupusa, or the Tamal Pollo again."
