"We went there and celebration of my friend's birthday. Wanted to take her someplace special, to one of the best steakhouses in the area. I ended up selecting THE best steakhouse in the area. Our server was outstanding. Started the evening off with a warm greeting, introducing himself and then offered to give us a brief overview of the menu which we accepted. Afterwards she gave us plenty of time to make our selections and then return and took our order while offering answers any question we had. We started off with a salad and then we both ended up selecting different steaks along with macaroni and cheese and asparagus. The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared. We appreciated his attentiveness throughout the evening in making sure we were taking care of. We ended the night with the complimentary dessert on her behalf of her birthday, which we shared. This was my first time going to John Howie steak but definitely not my last. I would recommend everyone to go here!"

"The halibut was over cooked and lacked flavor. The kitchen and service was slow. The waiter brought our appetizer at the same time as our meals. Costs are about 25% higher than on their website. Additionally the selection of seafood seemed less than usual. After eating there at least 2-3 times per year for >20 years, we were greatly disappointed. It will be a while before we go back, if we do."

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"The worst service I've had in years. I called the restaurant ahead to ask if there's a corkage fee, and they said $20 a bottle, nothing on their wine list. Great! We show up and say we can only bring one bottle. Not great, but fine! I'm pretty accepting of having an off night and I worked in restaurants for years. The waiter served everyone wine except me. Then he said I told him I didn’t wanted wine instead of just fixing issue. Then he got my cocktail order wrong. He disappeared for most of the dinner and we couldn’t order drinks or more food. The food was good. It was a really disappointing experience with the service because we had planned this dinner months ahead for a special occasion."

"a positive experience. my man had garnel, which were very good, and I had the brisket with senfsauce, which was absolutely phenomenal! melt in the mouth and the sose was so tasteful. one of the top dishes I've ever had. we also ordered the scallop appetizer, the scallops were well cooked, but a little small, but it had large pieces of booze and a large smokey apple sauce on the plate. service was a bit slow to start, we sat about 15-20 minutes without anyone coming to say hello or drinking order. also the free brot was cold and hard and lubricated by raw flour. some up and down, but I would wait much longer than 20 minutes to have this braut again!"

"This is our "go to" special occasion restaurant. We travel an hour to get there for our celebration year after year. The food is always sensational and the view is incredible when you are sitting at window table. SW did it again for us by giving us a great server Louis, and a wonderful experience. "For my main course, I opted for the braised short rib, which was tender but disappointingly bland. I was really hoping for more flavor, so I can only rate it a 2 out of 5. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, which tasted good but was a bit too thick and lacked a properly caramelized top, so I’d give it a 3 out of 5. We also tried the cheesecake, but it had an unpleasant fridge-like flavor, as if it had been stored improperly, resulting in a rating of 2 out of 5. On the bright side, the cocktails were fantastic and definitely stood out as the best part of the evening, along with the chicken wings. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made for an enjoyable experience overall. I would consider returning for the appetizers and drinks."

"I've been a regular visitor to this restaurant for years, so I was shocked to see how much the quality of service and food has declined. It took forty minutes for my burger—without any sides—to arrive, even though I was charged the full brunch price. I didn't order any baked goods or alcohol, which are usually included in that price. When my burger finally arrived, it was undercooked with red meat, which poses a risk for foodborne illness. In the end, I didn't eat anything."

"The place is small and quaint and flat breads are good. However, I ordered salmon croquets and they were mostly potatoes in what looked like a panko coating. Not worth the price and super small. My friend ordered chicken curry. The equivalent of 4 or5 small bites on a kabob; not worth the price. There was a lady at the bar that was so incredibly loud, it was disturbing others across the room. I know that's not the establishments fault but.... we also waited to be seated while employees walkedpast us repeatedly until finally, a man who I assume is the manager asked if we've been helped. The service wasn't that greatbut I think our server may have been new so that gets a pass too. Doubtful I'll be back."

"Was staying at this hotel for one night and even though I had planned to go out I decided to stay on the property instead. King Farm Grill is the main restaurant at the Sheraton. The menu offers plenty of American cuisine options. Had the tomato and mozarella salad along with the turkey club sandwich. The tomatoes were not ripe enough but the mozzarella and balsamic were good. The turkey club was also delicious. This restaurant is a good choice if you are staying here. Service was very attentive and the bar serves lots of different spirits. It 's fine for a stay in meal."

"We always dine there when in the area. This time the food preparation was slow and my wife's food tasted burned on the bottom. Seemed like there was some confusion on getting order out of kitchen. "This place is a real sleeper and we never would have tried it were it not for neighbors and friends that spoke so highly of it. We were not disappointed. As instructed by friends, I ordered the pork chop the first time we went. Oh my goodness! It was enormous! And cooked to perfection. Everything about our meal was pleasant. Service was conscientious but not overbearing, wait times were reasonable, our meals came out timely and hot. It is a funny place in a converted home but they have done a nice job with it and it felt comfortable. If you have not yet eaten here, it is worth a visit."

"Went to Waterzooi in Garden City last night for date night with hubby, food was great it never disappoints. Lucifer Mussels are always on point, with just enough kick. The steak frites was perfectly cooked. Our Pinot noir was a nice addition to our delicious dinner. Service was good and always with a smile. To end our dinner we had a simple but yet tasty pistachio gelato. Sometimes simple is more as our lovely waitress put it. Thank you Waterzooi for being consistent. See you soon."

"We arrived with a reservation and were seated right away with a smile, despite a busy lobby on a Friday night. Our server, Stephanie, was outstanding. She checked on us multiple times, brought our drinks promptly, packaged our leftovers as soon as we finished, and promptly provided us with the dessert menu. Many places tend to ease off once you receive your meal, but she maintained good service throughout. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes. We ordered the Chicken Marsala, Salmon Oscar, and Chicken Parmesan. For dessert, we had the Gigi's butter cake, which was amazing. Highly recommended."
