"I’ve always enjoyed the food but tonight even good food couldn’t make up for the service. My husband and I brought really good friends from out of state here because it was close by and I shamelessly love Greene Turtle’s crab dip. Our waitress waspretty horrible. If it had been busy, I totally would have understood, but counting us there were only 4 parties in the wholerestaurant (aside from the bar patrons). To start one member of our party had ordered a particular beer but was brought adifferent one. We ignored this because he was still satisfied with his beer and chalked it up to her not hearing correctly. Wewaited 30 minutes or so for our appetizers. And then probably another 30 minutes for our entrees after that, which all came outincorrect to some degree. Some minor things, tomato when it was asked to be removed, blue cheese when ranch was asked, but thekicker was getting a crab quesadilla when we ordered crab cakes without slaw. Between all of the waiting our server hadn’tcome back to check in on us. She assured us that crab cakes were taken off the bill. When she came back with the bill I didn’thave a chance to look over before she took my payment, aside from the total of $106. When she came back with the signature slip,the total was now $118 and change. But there was no itemized copy of the bill anymore. She also hovered over my shoulder while Iwas signing and leaving the tip making me pretty uncomfortable and pressured to leave a more generous tip than originallyplanned. I enjoy their food so much, however I’m not sure when or if I’ll be returning to this location."

"we arrived around 5:00 PM and it was not crazy crowded. By the time we left the place was full. Friendly greeters and prompt seating. Friendly server and very helpful creating for our granddaughter. Food is always good here. Dessert was a three scoop sundae split into three small dishes to keep serving size down. Check out was fast and painless. Did a good job with COVID protocols."

"The waitress, Suzanne, was very friendly and attentive. However, the shrimp tacos were just mediocre. They really should offer a spicy fresh salsa instead of the crema, and most places serve three tacos instead of two. Additionally, they should use larger shrimp rather than the small ones. The fries were decent, but they should consider offering soup in the winter and expanding the menu options. The burgers might be good; that could be a better choice for us next time."

"The more I go to the Greene Turtle in Middletown, the more disappointed I become. The food selection is great, but the service is awful. My food was not only cold, my servers never checked on my table or brought us half of what we asked for. The kitchen was also out of the food that we had ordered, and rather then informing us of the shortage after ordering our appetizer, the food was never brought out to us at all, leaving us more hungry to leave the restaurant then before we came. I understand being busy, but if you do not have enough waitstaff, then people should not continued to be seated."

"Unfortunately this is not a very good experience. No one greeted me and when I was eventually seated it took nearly 10 minutes for someone to come around and take my drink/food order. Turns out it wasn't even my server because she eventually came around to check on how the food was. Mind you, there were people sitting at the bar but I was the only one sitting at the booths to get served. If it was busy, I would have understood. But since there were no other patrons, I could not figure out why the service was so lackluster. The food was also not very good (overly salty and ingredients were over and some under ripe) instead of complaining I ate most of it, left a good tip and left. I will not be attending this particular establishment again. Please get a better handle on your steps of service."

"Came here late night right before it closed. I had a drink called the shell shocker which is supposed to be like a long Island iced tea. Tasted like it had zero alcohol in it. They don't have a big menu with a lot to choose from. I feel like the prices are steep and the food isn't that great. As you can see in the pic three was no straw in my drink. Asked the waiter to bring a straw. 10 minutes passed and I see him sweeping. Had to get his attention again to bring a straw. But the time he brought the straw the did had came as well so I didn't even get to taste the drink until the food came and it was watered down. It just wasn't a good experience for meUpdate: I was told to contact them which I did and it's been 4 days and still haven't heard anything back from management yet ??‍"

"We went to the Green Turtle last night. The food was delicious. We ordered a Cesar salad and a Chicken Cesar wrap. For appetizers we tried the boneless wings and pretzels with the flat tire beer cheese. The salad and wrap tasted great. The pretzels were warm and the cheese was delicious. I wish they?d fill the cheese container a little more. The wings were ok. The Garlic Parmesan wings didn?t really taste like Garlic or Parmesan. The BBQ wings tasted ok, but the wing meat was a little dry. When we first arrived we were greeted promptly, seated and given menus. After that we waited 20+ mins no wait staff acknowledged us, or came to take our drink order. We flagged down a waitress and she took our order. After that the service improved slightly. I expect they are short staffed so I don?t want to rate too harshly. Normally I?d say it was a 2 3. I rated it a 4 because we did enjoy the food when we received it. In a bar setting it?s important to make sure you check in with your tables and keep people?s drinks filled, especially when ordering alcohol. Lack of attentiveness frustrates patrons and impacts a restaurants bottom line. There wasn?t a lot of people in the restaurant so it looked like a lack of hustle or wait staff was distracted. We saw other tables wave to try and get multiple waitresses attention as well. We saw the same type of service when trying a Green Turtle in Delaware pre COVID 19, so I?m not sure if it is a training issue or lack of managers present."

"First time in this location. Food scored 2 for menu choices. I don't like Old Bay seasoning nor Pico and almost everything comes with one or the other, if not both. Would not be an issue if you could have them hold those, but waitress said neither can be omitted from dishes.Limits the menu dramatically for me. If not for this I would rate the food 4, the chicken strips were fantastic.Service was pretty good, and deserving of 20% minimum tip.Atmosphere scored 2 stars as your shoes stick to the floor making a horrible noise from the door to your table. No snow, no rain. The streaking on floor indicates poorly cleaned and likely with wrong cleaner. It immediately reminded me of younger days walking in poorly managed bars.Would eat here again as service was good, what I could order was good, but as a last resort due to stick floors and limited options for myself."

"We come here for the Vibes and have a hangover with friends! Food is however 5/10 it?s not something to try your way. The portion is very small for its price. You make you feel hungry. Her burger patties are extremely dry, with little to no spices. The Pommes are a part for children. Wings are not fresh, tasted like the frozen wings you receive from grocery stores. The pasta and is decent. Expect to pay $60-$70 for 2 people and make yourself uncomfortable. Unless you are looking for a Hangout Sport Bar to go, I would really not recommend this place."

"Years ago Greene Turtle’s food and service were excellent. They offered deals during the weekday at slow times to drive in more customers. However, the past few times I ordered from Greene Turtle I was left disappointed. I live close by yet every time I order take out the food takes longer than expected to be ready (at least an extra 10 15 minute wait) and then it’s still somehow cold. This is shocking because every time I pick up food the restaurant is dead, which shows that everyone else is seeing what I’m seeing. The quality of the food itself gets worse each time I order. The most common item I get is the 7 piece boneless barbecue wings. What’s hilarious is the price per wing goes up if you order 10 pieces. Make it make sense. The wings are overpriced especially for the size of them. If you look at the photo you’ll notice the side cup for dipping is bigger than the wing itself. Also don’t order through delivery service because they increase the price per item. Also the cookie lava cake comes frozen like a rock, I would know because one time they forgot to heat it up before delivering it to me. The sad reality of most restaurants is that prices increase while quality decreases. Don’t believe the reviews. A lot of businesses pay for third party Google reviews to increase their ratings. It’s not that good nor famous."

"6/20/22 I was in many of the Greene Turtle locations in Maryland, but from all of them this situation is superior. Your food is always fresh, the service is at point, there is always space somewhere at the bar or near the bar and they make great cocktails. Our bartender was Mason and he must? ve was the only person who worked the front in time because he was on the bars, tables and hosting at the front, but he was coughing, polite and sure we all had what we needed. There are many TVs for sports games, a dartboard and outdoor seats. The beer is always fresh and my favorite menu is the Rockfish bite. They also make a killer cab drop that comes with pretzel sticks. I have a recommendation for management and that would be to clarify the taste of their water. It tastes very chlorinated, but I'm not sure what can happen with it. Other than going a big bar to watch games, get appetizers and have a cold drink."

"Went on a Wednesday or Thursday night. Nothing tasted fresh. Bit into the mozzarella sticks and it wasn't steamy or melty. All the food, except the fries, was just warm. The Korean Salmon Bowl rice was dry, and the broccoli was soft. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich and he didn't even finish half. "This was hands down the worst cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my life, and I genuinely wish I was joking. It reminded me of something from a middle school cafeteria. I admit, I made the mistake of ordering a cheesesteak at a place that's likely more famous for their bar food, but I can't wrap my head around how anyone could mess up a cheesesteak. There was literally no seasoning at all, and while the cheese was somewhat decent, it's a stretch to even call it a redeeming quality. I’m incredibly disappointed and completely uninspired by this dish. It was an absolute disaster. On a positive note, I won’t fault the customer service; both the server and the hostess were very friendly, but I just can't get past the terrible meal I had."

"We've never had a stellar experience at the Greene Turtle. While the food is decent and the staff is friendly, everything feels somewhat insincere. It seems like they believe they're the best and don’t need to put in much effort. The truth is, they were never actually the best—just the most popular, and that peak popularity was back in the late 90s. Fast-forward to today, and it feels like the same crowd from high school is still hanging out, playing on the same pool table they've been using at The Turtle for over 20 years. The only noteworthy addition to the menu is the Beyond Burger meat substitute. The Greene Turtle feels like the Prom King and Queen—once popular but now merely a nostalgic memory."

"I was very disappointed with the Loaded Tater Tots. Given the price, I expected more than just a small order with barely any cheese sauce. On a positive note, the desserts – Turtle Cheesecake, Cookie Lava Sundae, and Chocolate Chunk Cookie – were enjoyable. However, the Kids Slider Duo was dry and overcooked, and my child didn't like them at all. My husband thought the Carne Asada Quesadilla and Mozzarella Sticks were just okay. Overall, it was a letdown considering the amount we spent."

"This was the worst meal we've ever received from DoorDash. We used to live in Salisbury, MD, and Green Turtle was our favorite restaurant. Having recently moved to Odenton, we were eager to enjoy a meal there again. Unfortunately, the food was completely inedible. The Chesapeake Burger resembled a hockey puck, and the "crab dip" on top was mostly cream cheese with little to no crab. To make matters worse, the Chesapeake Burger, which cost over $22, was supposed to come with fries but only included six tiny fries. The Loaded Tater Tots were just as disappointing. It was a huge waste of money and incredibly frustrating."
