"I had called ahead to inquire about outdoor seating due to the pandemic, and the lady who answered assured me there was outdoor seating available since many customers preferred it. However, when we got there, we found only three large, immovable tables crammed together outside. There was no host to welcome us or a waiter to guide us, so I had to seek someone out to ask for a table. The staff member barely acknowledged me and dismissively told us we could sit wherever we liked. We ended up seated indoors in a crowded space with no social distancing. I had to again search for a waitress just to get a menu, and then do so a second time to place our drink order. The staff seemed to vanish for long stretches of time. The woman I assumed was the head waitress or manager had an incredibly rude attitude. I felt ashamed in front of my friends, as this was their first experience with Honduran culture apart from my family, and I didn't want them to think that everyone was so careless and disrespectful. After a long wait for our drinks and several attempts to get someone to take our food order, we finally gave up, paid for our drinks at the bar, and left. We ended up wasting nearly an hour for nothing. I usually like to give places a second chance, but this was actually my fourth visit and it just gets worse every time. I truly can't believe the staff can act so rudely without consequences. By the way, since moving to this new location, the restaurant feels more like a low-quality cantina than a proper dining establishment. I hope the owner takes notice of these reviews regarding their awful customer service and addresses the issues, but given what I've seen, I doubt they care. If they continue to employ such a rude and tactless manager or head waitress, I can only imagine what else to expect."

"We were looking for a local spot to celebrate my birthday and recently dined at another Cuban establishment that made us wonder if we had one nearer to our house. I looked online and found many positive reviews about this place so we took a chance. Great call! The restaurant is located in a strip shopping center that looks unassuming but when you enter the space the vibe is more like a chic cafe. It wasn’t busy the night we were there so the service was exceptional. We asked the waiter for suggestions and as the son of the owner he was more than happy to give us a few pointers. For starters the empanadas were definitely part of the mix along with a creative avocado and palm heart salad. Both were incredible. My wife and I both decided to try the churrasco, a strip steak with chimichurri sauce on the side. It came with tostones and rice with black beans. The portions were great and the steaks were cooked a perfect medium rare as requested. Such a flavorful cut of meat. We toasted with sangría since it was the drink special that night. Upon learning it was my birthday they insisted on buying me a dessert and we opted for the tres leches cake. Amazing. Before leaving we asked if we could thank the chef (again, the waiter’s mom) in person. She was so sweet to us and thanked us for coming in for what would be the first of many meals there. They really know their stuff here and we’re lucky to have them in our neighborhood."
