"Decided to go to Las Vegas last minute to watch the Chelsea game at Allegiant Stadium and was in need of accommodation for just myself, which can be pricey. I tried finding a solution that fit my budget but also that wasn't sketchy. Delicate balance in Vegas.. Surprisingly, I landed on Ellis Island. The room rate was definitely acceptable for a motel-style place, so I decided to book. Little did I know, what a gem of a place this ended up being. I arrived about an hour and a half before check-in time and was told I could check in early for an additional $10. Done! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking is free here, just put the tag in your windshield. The room itself looked fairly renovated, had USB charger plugs next to the bed and at the desk, and also has a fridge. The carpet still felt fluffy, the room smelled fresh and the bathroom was all tiled and clean. They also provided some toiletries and ample towels. The room came with a coupon for a free coffee and donut. While I don't drink coffee, I did went to go get the donut and OMG that Italian sandwich bar is such a treasure! Forget about all the reviews mentioning the steak; instead go get yourself a Parma Ham Sandwich and a Nutella Donut! I didn't try any of the other food options due to a lack of time, but I hope to be back. PS: No five stars because their resort fee was almost $35 which I find to be a tad excessive for a place like this. It's not like they have five luxury pools with cabanas and a DJ hosting parties, so not sure what the $35 is for. Other than that, great stay!"

"Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by a couple of employees. Since it was a weekday, the restaurant was quite empty, which contributed to a relaxing atmosphere. As we settled in and browsed the drink menu, I was thrilled to spot one of my favorite beers, Yuengling! Being from Las Vegas, where it's not available, I always try to find it when I travel east. Our server, Meaza, was outstanding! It was a breath of fresh air to encounter someone so friendly, attentive, and efficient, especially in today's world where such customer service is hard to come by. Our meal was fantastic, unlike the experiences described in some of the other reviews. We ordered Buffalo Chicken Wings, Salmon Piccata, Spaghetti Frutti di Mare, sautéed spinach, and steamed broccoli. While I’ve had slightly better Buffalo wings, these were still enjoyable. Coming from Las Vegas, where I’ve experienced a lot of different dining options, I can confidently say the quality and portion sizes at this restaurant were impressive. The next day, we decided to try breakfast at the restaurant, hoping that the previous evening’s dinner wasn’t a one-off. We chose the full breakfast buffet, which was included with our hotel stay and offered better value at $16.95 compared to ordering from the menu. There was also a continental option for $11.95, but I preferred a hot meal. The selection was fantastic, and the food quality exceeded expectations. We ended up enjoying the buffet each morning during our stay, with most options remaining consistent. My favorite item was the mushroom casserole, along with the bacon. I also want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Irene and Angela, whose skills in customer service are commendable and should be recognized by their employer. The décor of the restaurant was pleasant, though I think the fabric on some of the booth seating could use a thorough cleaning, including the carpets. Overall, my experience here was outstanding. While I can’t speak for others, I would highly recommend this restaurant to both visitors and locals based on our experience."
