"I went to the Playa Bowls in Red Bank with my daughter yesterday evening around 5 and like many reviewers on here have mentioned, the staff there is unbearably rude. It started the minute we walked in. I accidentally pulled on the wrong door and it was locked so I mouthed to the girl at the counter, “are you closed?” The blond girl with the long hair, gestured at the other door, with no expression on her face and kind of seemed annoyed that we were there since she was on a phone call on her cell which was on speakerphone for all of us to hear. There was no hello, no smile as we approached the counter. She took our order and because we asked for extra granola on one bowl and no coconut on the other, we must have been a complicated order so she tells the other girl working there to just hang up on the person that was in mid-conversation on her phone, saying “ just hang up on her, I’m done.” The other girl and her have a giggle about it and our blonde girl walked away to make our bowls. As she is making them, she starts off with no gloves, adds the acai and granola. She finished up by putting a piece of something in her mouth. She then remembers to put on gloves, puts the rest of the toppings on, throws her gloves away, all the while chatting with the other girl working there. She takes her hair clip off and is playing with her hair, then puts her hands into her shirt, fussing with what seems to be the back of her bra (yes, I know) then back to putting the lids on the bowls. She puts the bowls and spoons into the bag, hands them to us with no eye contact, no thank you or goodbye. When we opened our bag, we didn’t know which one had the extra granola on it because it wasn’t written on top and they looked exactly the same. So we paid extra for nothing. And sadly, that is always the case there. To the owner, listen to these reviews please. You have been told several times and haven’t listened. I live in Red Bank. We are good customers yet you continue to let these rude, entitled teenagers treat your customers like dirt. Why? Clean house, please or either babysit them or retrain them. I would not want my place to have reviews like this. It’s an easy fix."
