"Forget third times the charm, it's obviously the first. What a beautiful, unexpectedly superb experience. We happened here by chance and had the best time. We were a group of four hungry people, ready for delicious food and shenanigans. The setting was open with lovely glass walls, just a touch of class. Sat outdoors and coincidentally watched the Heat game. We ordered a bottle of Rosé, cocktails, smoked salmon and tartufo pizza, and wings with fries.WOW! I loved the salmon pizza the most. The salmon was beautifully salted and lightly smokey, it tasted very much like an opened lox bagel, but the addition of creme fraiche was the seller. The tartufo pizza had a lovely lingering truffle flavor and aroma, a beautiful bite. Just missing a tiny bit of salt or perhaps more mushrooms and/or truffles for added savory. The wings, my goodness, had a perfect light sweet glaze, with the gorgonzola dip powering the sweet to savory ratio. Oh and my drink, My House mainly whiskey and red wine. An elegant cocktail combination with dash of lemon and cane sugar. The others had the 3 Ring much like a long island iced tea on crack. Not for the weak.Lastly, our service was spectacular. Tanya was amazing!! Friendly, accommodating and patient with us. Definitely made our evening. Wonderful dining experience all around, clean location (always check bathrooms), fabulous staff and the food! I do hope the NYC location reopens soon. Two thumbs way up. ?? ?? (And this is not a paid advertisement, we really enjoyed ourselves.)My only regret is I was too full for dessert. ?"

"Cheesetique has always been a great place for happy hour or dinner, but they really screwed up on Mother’s Day. I made a 10:30 reservation because I wanted to get my 2yr old home for a nap. We arrived 5 min early and were quickly seated. Our server told us about complimentary mimosas and brought them, but never offered coffee or brought us menus. After 20 min he finally came to take our orders and realized we didn’t have menus and didn’t even apologize. My mom had to go take kids menus and crayons from the hostess stand herself. Our food took over an hour to come. We finally asked for coffee once we saw other people had some and yet our server never offered us refills despite the fact that they somehow didn’t have normal cups and served coffee in tiny cups a bit bigger than espresso. They did bring us a complimentary small cheese tray during the long wait, but it would have been more thoughtful if they had brought something for my kids who were amazingly patient with the whole ordeal. It wasn’t just us, all around us no one was getting food. Once we finally got our food, it was ok but nothing special. I probably won’t be back even though I work in the same building. At no point did anyone apologize. The manager never came over. No one explained what was going on and no one who worked there seemed to be hustling or making any effort to accommodate inconvenienced guests."

"Wow what a disappointment! As a Texas resident and huge fan from the one time we visited the Dallas restaurant I was excited to find a location in Carlsbad and introduce my family to the wonders of Texas de Brazil. Sadly it started poorly when the hostess refused to seat the 6 of us even after I told her my sister and nephew would be joining us in about 30 minutes. After contemplating a venue change she got her manager’s approval to accommodate us. So we sat and our waiter introduced himself and we asked for water. And then he disappeared for a while, brought us water, then disappeared. After about 15-20 minutes of sitting there I got up and went looking for him to ask if anyone was going to help us and when do we get food. He apologized and said he thought we had been there before because he spoke to my 13 year old autistic son who all are toy told him we had? So I was informed we just needed to go grab plates from the salad bar are to get started. Good to know after sitting around for 20 minutes. Then once we sat there for another 10 minutes the first offering of meat came out. Finally! Only it was well done and not the best intro to what I believe is good quality meat. We would finish our meat and be waiting for a good several to 5 minutes before another offering. It seemed much slower than what I remembered from a previous experience. Once every 5-7 minutes? We definitely were not overwhelmed with food and pretty much ate the entire time. My son and I never turned over our green token and yet got skipped on a couple occasions. Seems like green/red tokens didn’t really matter. We arrived at 7:15 but my 9:30 I had to ask our waiter to bring the check because we had a movie at 10. I asked him how dessert works because I saw other servers going around with a big plate. He just pointed the dessert bar behind me and listed all the desserts and offered to make it to-go. So I ordered one but was surprised to find a charge on my bill! That was never explained to me!"
