"I can't say enough on how much I appreciate the food here. The food is authentic with a variety of well stewed meats ribs, chicken, pork, steak). The yellow rice and black beans are out of this world. I loved the sweet plantains. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates a genuine experience and doesn’t need a high end dining experience. We had the Red Sangria and Margarita. Both of which were solid drinks. The restaurant is no frills, conducive to families and affordable with sizeable portions. Bring your appetite. "Asked for 2 Passion Fruit Margaritas, took 15 minutes to get it. The Bartendar kept taking other orders and not fulfilling the order I placed. Then the Bartendar asked if I wanted Alcohol in Margarita..Its a Margarita.. of course it needs alcohol! Another Bartendar 'fixed the drink ' but it still wasn 't a Margarita! Food came out Lukewarm. When the bill was received, prices were not the prices on the menu. Then I was told that the ppl that frequent the location knew the prices. What? The prices are whatever is on the menu and if the menu was wrong then it shouldn 't have been given out. As an out of towner going to the Springfield Museums and looking for familiar cuisine, close to the location, I thought this would be ideal. IF I am ever in this area again I would rather go to McDonald 's than come back. Horrible Experience!!"

"I was trying to find a cuban restaurant similar to the Versailles Cuban restaurant in West LA. White rice, black beans and sweet plantains brought back great memories. We started w empanadas, couldn't wait for them to cool and so yummy we burnt our mouths. You could split one (there are 2 esp if you're getting a plate. I had the fried pork, daughter had mofongo (Jo Koy, is this similar to what you talk about? . That had green plantains, sweet plantains and yucca. THEN they add meat and rice. Mofongo would be enough. It's alot of food! AC was getting repaired so it was super hot and stuffy. Don't forget to try the adult capri sun! Definitely want to try more."

"The food was enjoyable, but the service could use some improvement. The waitress seemed inexperienced in handling customers, as she didn't ask about drinks and walked away after taking our food order. While the food arrived promptly, we had to remind her about our drinks. One issue was that the tip was automatically added to the bill, which could lead to unintentionally tipping twice. Customers should be able to decide on the tip based on the quality of service received, rather than feeling obligated to tip regardless of satisfaction."

"Overpriced. Disappointing. I was actually excited to see the oysters out front and based on the reviews the food was going to be good. The oysters were fine, except they tried to get fancy and served all these other sauces with it which actually ruin theflavor of the oyster. I dabbed a little bit of the habanero sauce as suggested and my mouth was on fire until my main dish came.Classics are classics for a reason why are they serving hot sauce and avocado sauce with the oysters? I ordered the Pernil whichwas literally the shredded pork with boiled yucca for $23. I don?t know why I thought for $23 it would be something special, itwas not fresh the meat was dry in some parts and the yucca was tough. If you?ve ever had Latin food this will disappoint you. Ipaid and left thinking what the hell did I pay for. The only thing that didn?t disappoint was the service. The guy working atthe bar, where I sat was attentive and friendly and even tried to crack a few jokes. I wouldn?t eat here again."

"I wasn't feeling too hot, so I ordered take out based on the reviews. I ordered their chicken soup and hen soup they were both VERY salty. While they were generous with the amount of poultry, it really didn't have that much else for ingredients. I also ordered their avocado salad I could have made a better one at home for a lot less. They use iceberg lettuce and they shred it. Not much vegetable variety and they didn't even give me that much dressing two tiny little containers. Thought the food was very average and the prices didn't justify the quality"

"The food is always really good. I felt the burrito w carne molida was downgraded but nevertheless still delicious. What I would suggest is do not order through the website/it becomes doordash and they do not deliver. I ordered around 11:20am was supposed to get delivery between 12-12:10pm.. it was 1PM and never arrived and i was left starving. I felt bad for the restaurant itself because I am sure they did their part yet doordash delivery guy never appear and pizza city looses not only the food they made but the money that was paid since they must refund you for it which it seems unfair."

"To make matters worse, they've had the audacity to misrepresent their lunch specials and hourly rates. I called the restaurant to verify a claim they made, and they provided me with completely different information over the phone. One day they claim they serve lunch at 4:00 a.m., and the next day it's at 2:00 p.m. I decided to take my food to go because I didn't want to eat there, especially after witnessing a server being rude to an older woman who just wanted to enjoy her lunch in peace. They seem to often double charge or sneak in extra fees on your bill, and if you question them about it, they become defensive or make excuses. I've seen this happen, so I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. My mother and I used to be regular customers and enjoyed our mother-daughter outings here, but they've completely ruined that for us. Given all of this, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. If I could, I would give them zero stars. No thanks."
