"Nico’s is a favorite of mine however I’m fed up with the inconsistency of the food and service. When yall are on point the food is AMAZING however when yall are off it’s bad. I order the lengua tacos often sometimes it’s seasoned great other times not at all. Recently I’ve ordered online twice. The way it’s set up is after you pick which meat you want you add other ingredients like sauce and onions or cilantro. IT NEVER SAID ALL TACOS COME WITH ONION AND CILANTRO. I clicked the buttons of the toppings I wanted. Onions wasn’t one of them because I didn’t want those. But both orders had them. So yesterday I called in and complained. The manager was rude he spent the entire phone call beating a dead horse about how all tacos come with onions and cilantro. Ok got that. But on the website it doesn’t say that and why does it prompt you to click the toppings? NOT USER FRIENDLY. So the manager just argued with me and kept going on and on about the standard taco. When I tried to give feedback on my experience there was no apology or solution. Just essentially blaming me for not knowing that all tacos come with freaking onions and cilantro! Well I didn’t ask for it!!! I clicked cilantro and picked my salsas. Overall I’m taking a break from Nico’s. I have love hate relationship with you now and I don’t know if or when I’ll be back. Let’s hope the management team sees this and strives to do a bit better. The potential is there. Need more effort. ALSO If tacos are a whopping 6$ a piece I want it to be how I want it. With the toppings that I picked. Kindness goes a long way to the manager I spoke on the phone with yesterday take some classes on how to deal with people. Don’t be a manager if your not up to the task. Do better."

"I was a little skeptical about this place because I was in search of a regular degular authentic Mexican restaurant. It seemed there weren't many/any ‍ in a close radius to that area. Soooo I gave it try based on the reviews here on Yelp...along with the pictures (thanks Yelp users! . Okay, so the outside caused me to rub my hands together like Birdman (google for full visual , in complete anticipation of the food. The patio was inviting with nice colors and ample tables. Upon waking inside, the establishment offered signage that stated Happy Hour was is from 2pm-6pm. The staff was very friendly and helpful The young lady that took my order was very knowledgeable when I told her my food preferences. She gave a great recommendation! I started with queso and chips.. There's a separate counter that holds a salsa bar (pico, mild, medium, verde, onions, and peppers for the complimentary chips or whatever else you would like to sauce up. I had Elote which was seasoned well and it had a good juicy crunch. The Shrimp Taco Platter came with black beans and rice. The tacos needed a little sauce, but that could've been me because I like my tacos dripping. The black beans and rice were flavorful and not dry . Although a different taste than authentic Mexican, I was happy the food wasn't dry and lacked flavor. I washed down my meal with a refreshing Frozen Peach Margarita. I will say if you in the area check it out for yourself. You can't beat the price, cleanliness, friendliness, and overall decent food."
