"Been in Port Chester for many years and finally paid Coyote Flaco a visit. This restaurant has been in town for years and I can firmly say, one of the best Mexican/Ecuadorian places I’ve eaten at. The seating is traditional. Outside. On picnics tables.It was the best! Pictures are the chimichangas, table salsa and a pitcher of their jalapeño margaritas. The service was prettyfast. The menu was very long but the classics always called out as house favorites. Went with a few coworkers and they were allhappy. Give Coyote Flaco a try if you’re ever in the area."

"The customer service was excellent; I really appreciated how attentive our waiter was. He frequently checked in to see if everything was okay, kept our drinks refilled, and demonstrated great manners throughout our meal. He definitely earned a well-deserved tip! As for the food, it was good, and I would likely return. The only downside was the noise level from the music—it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. But, given that it’s a Mexican bar-style place, I suppose that's to be expected. Just be prepared for a hefty bill if you’re planning on having a full course meal! Dinner for two came to $84 plus tip, and we didn’t even order any alcoholic drinks. Nevertheless, my husband left satisfied!"

"I completely understand that management doesn’t have full control over how customers behave, but the young male waitstaff was lingering around their booth, practically engaging in lap dances with these women. There was no effort from management to address this situation; instead, the staff seemed to encourage it. I hope the owners or management take note of this review and take appropriate action. We will not be coming back. As for kid-friendliness, this place is definitely NOT suitable for children, given the customers shouting obscenities and the waitstaff's inappropriate behavior."

"I’ve ordered takeout from here for about a year since I’ve been in Hamilton mill. Their staff is always friendly, food is always ready, and the chicken soup is always great. This is my go-to place for authentic soup when it gets cold out. Prices are also amazing. Love that the chips and salsa come complimentary."

"Absolutely incredible food! The staff are so friendly! It’s extremely vegan and vegetarian-friendly, yet still a great option for meat lovers. Even though I'm not a local, I’m always impressed each time I visit. The prices are incredibly affordable and the food is delicious! The owner mentioned that they offer catering on short notice, and I just noticed that their catering menu includes breakfast tacos! My only complaint is that they close too early—I’d love to enjoy their food for dinner too, haha!"

"I've been a kid since I was and I'm so glad they have great vegan options! there is a whole vegetarian section on the menu with teller A-G, and most of them can be made vegan by holding the cheese/sahne. there is also a quantity of meat dishes that can be subbedded for beans and this is marked clearly on the menu. When I asked our server if the vegetarian fajitas court comes with cheese, she knew exactly what I meant and asked no milk. very recommend the vegetarian Fajita plate (without cheese and acid cream), it is huge! they also get unlimited chips and salsa while waiting for the food to come."

"Start with free chips and salsa. Food is always fresh and sometimes sizzling when it comes to your table. They have an extensive menu, almost overwhelming, but they have something for almost all. Waiting was always acceptable, and to be honest, I wouldn't be upset if I had to wait a little more, the atmosphere is happy. Beef/steak, chicken, shrimp/fish/scallops, vegetarian, children's menus, lunch and dinner, desserts, soft drinks/hard liquor, TVs, fish tank and a .25 rubber ball machine. The staff was always good for us and the children. Remember to increase your tips a few dollars, these servers deserve it."

"We’ve had El Toro quite a bit over the past year, 50% of the time doing a take out order. The price for the Burrito Ruletta according the takeout menu they provide is 11.95. We put in our regular order of 2 of those to go. My husband returned home confused as the total price was 33.69. That’s 16.84 per meal. We thought well, with inflation and everything maybe they increased their prices, but yikes that’s a big jump. Well I hopped on door dash as they do use that service and lo and behold, the B.R. Is actually only $10.24 on there. We could have had it delivered for a total of $23.09 and saved $10.60!! So we had planned to call about the pricing tomorrow. BUT then we opened our meals and find out not only were they missing ingredients all together, but the burritos were about a 1/5 the size as they’ve always been. Their burritos in the past have made you full before you eat even half. In this case, the burritos were limp and empty. They had maybe a couple pieces of chicken in them all together, mine was basically all green pepper and my husbands all onion. They were practically empty vegetable burritos. We’ve loved eating their food, but to pay a significant increase and get 1/5 of the food, disappointing is an understatement."

We chose to enjoy our meal outdoors. The complimentary chips and dips were average. The Pozole was a generous portion and truly delicious. The Enchiladas Verdes were incredibly tasty. The rice on the side was enjoyable, and while the small salad was decent, I would have preferred a greener option over iceberg lettuce. The cheese quesadillas were outstanding! "Upon sitting down, we ordered waters and asked our waitress for two separate baskets of chips and salsa since we tend to go through one quickly, which would save her time. We ordered fajitas and queso to share, but since we had just come from a funeral, we weren’t particularly hungry. The waitress asked if we still wanted the salad, rice, and beans that typically accompany the meal. A bit confused, we agreed. When the food arrived, each of us received a "fajita side salad." We didn't raise any concerns, assuming that this was standard when sharing fajitas. However, the fajitas themselves lacked flavor. After finishing our meal, the waitress brought us the check, and to our surprise, we were charged for extra chips, extra salsa, and the extra side salad. I approached the waitress to clarify why we were charged for items that are typically complimentary. She explained that we were billed because we had two baskets at once. If we had requested a refill later, it would have been free. I told her that I’ve never been charged for chips and salsa at any El Loro before, to which she responded that this was a new policy implemented a year ago due to some customers only ordering chips and salsa. However, we had clearly ordered a full meal and I shared that I had visited multiple El Loro locations in the past year without any issues. I asked if there were any signs in the restaurant or on the menu indicating this charge, but she said there weren't. I requested to speak to a manager, but she just stared at me and did not respond. I repeated my request, but nothing changed. I explained my reasoning for wanting a refund for the chips and salsa, as I believed both baskets should have been complimentary, but she maintained that we were charged because we received them simultaneously. After attempting to reason with her for a while with no resolution, I paid the bill and left. I have no plans to return to this location and will be advising everyone I know to steer clear as well."

"We found this restaurant during covid. We did a lot of take-out then. We have also supported them many times getting great food and service. This most recent experience left us disappointed. The service and the food was lacking. We may try againbecause we really did like them but it was so different than just a few months ago that we may not. The cost of everything hasso skyrocketed that when I go out I want to enjoy one or the other, the food or service. I understand as having been a servermyself, I understand being shorthanded but neither of those things seem to be the problem. I hope they get it worked out!"
