"Finally!!!! This has been such a happy day! Good food makes me happy, really happy. Being a South Indian, am extremely pleased when anyone gets Rasam right. Woodlands managed to do not just that but serve very tasty food! We got here around 11.45 in the noon and were shown to our table immediately. Although we thought of going for the al-a-cart option, the buffet was too tempting to resist. Also, we were informed that they have just the buffet over the weekends. That immediately solved our confusion and left us no other option except the buffet. Everything we had was delicious but the dessert was a slight letdown as it was overly sweet. The buffet had: Masala Dosa, Pani Puri (I know!!), Bhel Puri, Babycorn Manchurian, Idli, Medu Vada, Rasam, Sambhar, Veg Pulav, Rice, Coconut Curry, Coconut Chutney, Mushroom Paneer Curry, all the side chutneys and pickles, Kala Jamun, Rasmalai, Mango Custard. We also ordered Mysore Coffee. I always have a problem with buffet as they have very limited vegetarian options. Woodlands being a pure vegetarian restaurant pleased me to the fullest. I even spoke to Jason, a server there in Kannada! For the two of us, the bill came up to 30 dollars including two coffees. Totally worth the money we paid! I won't be surprised if we drive down to Nashville every weekend just to enjoy some very good food here! I definitely recommend!"

"Tables of 5 people or more will receive an automatic 18% gratuity. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our Indian meal here. The meat portions were on the small side, especially with the curry. Despite the good food, the service was lacking. There were missing place settings and the cutlery was not correctly matched. We were even given a small spoon instead of a serving spoon for our Biryani. It took a long time to receive our check, even though the restaurant was not busy, with only 3 tables occupied. We would return for the food, but hope for an improvement in service. 5 stars if it wasn't for the service."

"This is our go to Indian place for vegetarian food. All pandemic we ordered or picked up food from here. Although there are tons of Indian restaurants on El Camino, this one stands out with superior food on taste and freshness. We love many dishes namely Chole bhature, makki ki roti sarso ka saag, wada paav, parathas and thali. Thali has sensible portions that won’t put you in food coma. Staff is very welcoming and wonderful staff member Pankaj accommodated my food allergies. Overall a great place to dine in! Update: I reviewed this restaurant a month back giving out 5 stars. But based on today’s experience, I want to take off some stars. This is about the customer service which is really inconsistent. I am allergic to dairy and wanted to replace a dairy item from my house thali, last few times it was honored by a kind employee of the restaurant but today other servers refused even though this wouldn’t have impacted their business in any way, the restaurant was full. Indian restaurants doesn’t take allergy concerns seriously. I was ordering food from here for years, seems they wouldn’t be getting my business any more!!!"

"This charming little Indian restaurant, tucked away from the main streets, is absolutely fantastic! I ordered the goat vindaloo with extra spice, along with garlic naan and vegetable samosas. It was exactly what I was craving for some spicy Indian cuisine. The owner is so kind, and you can tell that he has just opened the place and is managing everything on his own. He personally cooked my meal, which made it feel really special. "Visited the restaurant for lunch buffet. We were there at around 1pm, and the restaurant was completely empty. There was no one there. Some of the seats of the restaurant were torn, and the management didn’t even tape them up. The tables were filthy, and so was the restaurant, felt like there was a party and no one cleaned up. The price is definitely not worth the food. The food was sort of okay-ish, nothing super impressive or worth remembering. Chennai Cafe down the street charges the exact same price, and have many more varieties to eat. If you are a vegetarian your options are pretty limited. Also, the meat options are right next to the vegetarian options, and because there was no one else there, the food wasn’t falling over into the vegetarian trays, but if there were at least another table of patrons, the meat would have fallen into the vegetarian.Hope the management takes care of the premises better."
