"This place has really gone downhill. It used to be our go-to spot for late-night bites after the club, offering everything from banh mi to hot plates of Vietnamese delicacies. Unfortunately, they’re no longer open 24 hours, a change that seems to have come about due to the pandemic, and there are always fights breaking out outside the restaurant. I stopped by after many years and ordered the Vietnamese pork chop over rice, but it was overcooked. I also got a smoothie that typically comes with boba, but guess what? No boba. The original Vietnamese staff, who used to hustle around the counter, are nowhere to be seen. Instead, the staff now is all non-Asian, which isn’t a problem in itself, but it feels like the owner no longer cares about maintaining the restaurant’s authenticity. It’s really disappointing because Ba Le used to be the go-to Vietnamese spot. I hope it closes down soon so someone can revive it and restore it to its former glory."
