"We stayed for two nights when we arrived from the UK to the US on holiday. Lovely place to stay in central Cambridge, it’s an easy walk to the Central metro, and a doable walk into Harvard to see the college if you don’t have a car. It’s right on the Main Street so lots of cafes and bars nearby. However the check in is all automated with access code on the front door and to the room we had issues with checking in as we didn’t realise it needed to be the bill payer’s ID to check in not the person in whose name you booked the room, took us a while to sort out! We weren’t the only ones struggling as there were some girls stranded outside late at night with a similar issue useful to bear in mind if you are coming from abroad and don’t have phone service in the US make sure you have used Wi Fi in advance to check in and get your room codes then screenshot them! In the daytime there is someone at the front desk though.Large comfy beds, good shower, enjoyed the coffee machine in the morning. Expensive for what it is but I think that is all Boston accommodation to be fair. We wanted to book this place when we came back to Boston before flying back to the UK but sadly the prices had risen so much it was unaffordable, otherwise would have stayed again.Would recommend if you are able to book in far enough advance to keep prices down!"

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The rooms were modern and spacious, and the location was fantastic. We would definitely choose to stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

The room was very clean and decorated well. The bed was comfy but the pillows were too big for me and uncomfortable. The shower was cute but I would have preferred if there was a hand held shower head. All in all we had a nice stay.

The hotel is just a short walk from the red line T stop and several bus stops, making it easy to get in and out of Boston. The staff were consistently friendly, and having a refrigerator and a pack 'n' play in the room made traveling with our 1-year-old much easier. While the room was a bit small, it was sufficient for the price we paid. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Arriving late from an international flight I was disappointed that there is no reception. I had to download and navigate through an app to get into the building. Not ideal. The code to the door didn’t work (yes it was the right code).I stayed for a week and had to pay to have my room cleaned and get fresh towels. I also had to book that two days in advance. On the plus side, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. However it gets one star as the basics… like getting access to your room… were terrible! To my surprise, our room included a refrigerator, and there was also a microwave and a water station in the hallway. Additionally, there was a small cabinet stocked with extra cups, tea, coffee, soap, tissues, and more for us to use as needed. The front desk was staffed, and the main entrance remained open until later in the evening. My only observation (not a complaint) was that our bathroom had a barn door that only stayed closed when secured with a high hook and eye latch. This could be an issue for someone using a wheelchair, as it may not be easily accessible for them. Just something to keep in mind.

Unfortunately, during my stay, a false fire alarm was triggered four times during the night, among them three times in a single night. While I understand the unfortunate situation of a malfunctioning detector (even though four times within a few days is particularly unfortunate), it compromised my sleep during the stay, as at any moment the alarm could fire and the building had to be evacuated.Overall, it's somehow a noisy place (the fire station is just on the other side of the street, and the area is very active at night. Rooms are not cleaned during the stay.Nearby activities: Lot's of restaurantsSafety: I felt safe

This hotel follows a business model where amenities and services are slashed in ways that I didn't love. Cleaning costs extra and must be scheduled two days in advance, which is an annoying thing to discover when you just want someone to empty the trash cans during a multiple-day stay. Very limited desk hours and checking in online had many technical issues. You use a key code, not a room key, to get in and out. My room was small and lacked common amenities like a mini fridge, a usable chair and table, or any form of closet or storage. Location is great but rooms overlooking the square can be loud. Will probably avoid Sonder hotels in the future. View menu

Even though my checkout experience was horrible and my checkin experience was inconvenient, I will still be truthful when I say the location is great in central square and you can pretty much walk to anywhere in Cambridge. The room was super clean as well. What I was particularly disappointed with was: being redirected outside of Airbnb to access my check information not being able to get a hold of customer service for 12 hours prior to my arrival on Airbnb and via email finding out that I paid the equivalent of a 4 stars hotel, yet I recieve the hospitality standards I expect from a 2 stars hotel or a hostel, even being scolded and called “unreasonable” at the reception desk for being 40mns...

This is not a 4-star hotel. It's debatable whether it is a 3-star hotel--rooms qualify, service absolutely does not.The location in Cambridge is excellent for easy access to universities and restaurants. My room was nice enough, though a bit small and there was some damage (superficial, not meaningful). The desk chair was not comfortable/conducive to working, but I really like that the tv had chromecast for streaming from a compatible device.Service: the biggest problem I had with this hotel, is that Sonder does not seem to value customer service. There is no one in the lobby after 6 pm, nor before 10 am. I did not have any issues getting into my room, but if a hotel can't pay for someone to...

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
