"So I’m changing my review finally. Because I finally food another Mexican restaurant that makes the guacamole for me a lot smaller and cheaper. First of all service here needs to be worked on. I think the waitresses got a little too comfortable with me because I was always coming everyday to eat here. Yes some stuff on their menu is good but not everything. I understand you want to make conversation and want to be cool with me because I was always coming but I’m just a customer coming to eat that’s it. Asking personal questions is a big NO. Secondly they’ve gotten so comfortable when I call to place a order they answer the phone saying want do u want I’m really busy… if you are busy then don’t answer the phone but to pick up the phone and say I’m busy want do you want Going forward this place is very expensive and not everything is good on the menu …when they service you water it’s warm and don’t add ice and if they do the put water first and then add the ice and warm still taste warm it should be add ice first then water. Also there water taste like start faucet water and they calm they have a filter for it. It’s disgusting so I don’t order water anymore or any drinks from here I just bring my own drinks now. Also , I can say this their guacamole is very good here but the down side is that they only do it one size and it’s a big size for 14$ very expensive and I don’t even Get to finish it because it’s to big … they don’t give you a option for a smaller one for cheaper .. so your stuck with paying for something to big and can’t finish . Orchata is kinda watery as well.their burrito de asada and chicken things toasda are very good and the ajillo shrimp dish is good but not everything on that menu is good. : this is Very pricy stop. But thank god o found me a restaurant that makes me that guacamole just as good and cheaper… when looking at my bank statements I’m spending 300 to 600$ a month on pulpo loco I think I derserve some better service … but that all changed now that I found me another restaurant… you’ll be seeing me a lot less now that I found that guacamole some where else lol :"

"Mariscos La Playa in Chicago is a coastal delight that transports diners straight to the shores of Mexico with its vibrant flavors and fresh seafood offerings. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant exudes a lively and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu at Mariscos La Playa boasts an impressive array of seafood dishes, from ceviche and shrimp cocktails to grilled fish and seafood platters. The standout for me was the Mariscada, a bountiful seafood feast that features a delectable assortment of shrimp, clams, mussels, and crab legs in a flavorful broth. What truly sets Mariscos La Playa apart is their exceptional cocktail options. Their signature Michelada is a refreshing blend of beer, tomato juice, lime, and spices, served with a salted rim and garnished with shrimp. It perfectly complements the seafood dishes and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. The service at Mariscos La Playa is friendly and attentive, with the staff going out of their way to ensure every guest is well taken care of.In conclusion, Mariscos La Playa is a must-visit destination for seafood lovers and those seeking a taste of Mexico 's coastal cuisine. With its fresh and flavorful dishes, delightful cocktail options, and excellent service, this restaurant has earned its place as one of the top spots for seafood in Chicago."

"*edit* This place is now permanently closed and they loved lcoarions to Gahanna. I understand why they did but this was such a good hidden gem in the northeast Columbus area and I'm sad it's out in the burbs now. *end edit* This place is actually pretty decent. The inside if the building is beautifully decorated and the people we dealt with were nice. We ordered an appetizer along with 2 entrees and there was no chance of us actually finishing it. The portions are massive. The waitress was on point keeping our drinks refilled and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our entire visit there was about an hour. The food was good. It didn't taste too salty like you'd like get from a fast food chain. The portions were big and everything was fairly simple. We got easily 4 meals worth of food for $30 and they give you complimentary chips and salsa along with a bean dip. There are also 3 hot sauces at every table in case you need a little more zing. It's not the most gourmet food you'll ever eat, but it's definitely worth what you'll pay for it. Everything seemed clean and the atmosphere was fun but not ridiculous. I'll definitely be coming back here. I would recommend it for just about anyone, but I would also tell them to keep their expectations in check. It's not On The Border or some super fancy Mexican place. It's a bar and grill with reasonably priced food that doesn't taste bad. Plan accordingly."
