"Azteca!! It’s definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in the greater Charlotte area. Today, we enjoyed an absolutely fantastic lunch at the Azteca location near Matthews on Independence Blvd. This was my first time dining at this spot, as I typically go to the original one near the South Blvd Uptown area. The restaurant has a wonderful authentic atmosphere, is very clean, and adorned with traditional Mexican decor. But the highlight was the staff! Our waiter, Oscar, was incredibly attentive and a delight to talk to. Azteca offers amazing dishes, such as their fresh custom guacamole."

LOVED THE PLACE!!! It was so colorful and festive. The food they served was hot n fresh. They followed CDC guidelines as far as staying clean and the 6 ft rule. They came to u to make fresh guacamole!!!! The highlight of my night!!!! Would highly recommend when visiting Charlotte!!!!

A complete bowl of guacamole is made fresh right in front of you, and it’s FREE! This restaurant is incredible! While the prices are a bit higher than at other Mexican restaurants, it’s absolutely worth it! You get a generous plate with a great variety of dishes, all bursting with flavor! Azteca is a wonderfully authentic Hispanic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the colorful atmosphere and the interactions with the polite and attentive staff. Perhaps most important though is the quality of the food. Reasonable prices for nice sized portions and quality ingredients. We loved the table-side guacamole. It was delicious. The menu provided a huge selection of meal options, including customizable combinations. They also have a nice dessert selection.

Came here for the first time with my husband. We were impressed the moment we walked in. The decor and overall atmosphere is outstanding. The food was great too! My husband ordered the number 7 small combination (one chimichanga) as seen in pictures. I got the number 14 small combination (two enchiladas), also have a picture attached. The service was great too, our server did a great job and he was so nice! The price of the food is pretty good, especially for the portion size!
