"Wait staff was unattentive to our needs. We expressed that our food could not have dairy in it, and wound up with two wait staff disagreeing at the table regarding whether one of the dishes had dairy in it or not. Order mixed pickles and they weren 't delivered. Told our waiter I wanted a diet coke...saw that he wrote coke on his pad and asked him twice to make sure it was diet...and they brought out regular coke instead. Waiter handed out menus and not two minutes later asked if we were ready to order...seriously??? Hovered over our table, anxious to remove plates before we were finished...very awkward experience on a not-so-busy night. Won 't be back here anytime soon."

"Wow! Hidden Gem. I told my husband that I am Indian Fare and I don't feel like traveling to the old town of Diya. This place has been here for years and I've heard about it, but never tried. We try more mom and pop style restaurants and away from chains and so called big names. I'm so glad we're here. Sooooo good! The food is nice and so freshly seasoned. Probably the best garlic naan and chicken Samosa I had and the wings were perfectly grilled and still tender and quite large. That was real garlic naan. And it was Fresh y’all. The Samosa was completely filled with chicken and no fillers. For drinks I have the Mango Martini. Yum. The man has the mango Lassie and we loved them both. We have the lamb for our entrees. I got the lamb Vindaloo and the man. Great flavors and not salted over that I really appreciate! I love spicy so that mine was perfect for me. Lots of food and we had a lot to take home. This is my new hidden jewel. Customer service was amazing. Paramesh was an amazing and attentive server and so friendly. I could not recommend this place enough! I will definitely be back and I am so sad that it takes me so long to finally visit. Thank you. We're coming back!"

"I really wanted to like this place, tried 2x before pandemic and the experience was really good one time and so so the 2nd. Decided to give it another try as it’s been a few years.I went on Wednesday evening and they were offering live dosa in addition to regular menu service. Decided to try it as they offered 6 or so varieties and it was unlimited for 17.99.The first couple of dosa came out very dark and crispy so had slight bitter aftertaste. So the next rounds instructed cooked to make it less brown and it was slightly better. I tried mysore masala, andhra masala, onion , gongura paneer, cheese dosas. You are probably thinking I am a pig and how was I able to eat this many dosas. They were mini dosas luckily otherwise no way I can try all of these varieties.I didn’t find most of the combinations that impressive in terms of flavors unfortunately it could be due to the fact stuffing of dosa wasn’t very generous thus insufficient amount to bring out the flavor. Even the potato masala wasn’t that great as compared to other South Indian restaurants. They gave pani puri for those who got live dosa. I didn’t find it very good and would be disappointed if I had paid for it separately. Puri was too crisp and lacked taste. Stuffing didn’t seem to be traditional potato Chana but tomato onion mixture. There may have been potato but was such a scanty amount I missed it. Pani was meh, not terrible but not great either. The coconut chutney and sambar were delicious and the saving grace of the meal. You get serve yourself from the station set up next to live dosa. Sambar is vessel that stays warm which is awesome.Overall not sure I will do live dosa again as I felt I overate to feel I get my worth lol. For 2 ppl this meal mango lassi came out to 50 after tax and tip. This is tad pricy when food wasn’t satisfying taste wise. Those of you with less discerning taste and big appetite definitely come here.I love the concept of live dosa. And will come back to try their breakfast buffet sometime in near future.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options and gluten free too"

"My wife and I recently relocated to Southeastern Pennsylvania and stumbled upon this highly-rated restaurant when searching for biryani. As avid biryani enthusiasts, we were blown away from the first bite. The authenticity of their Hyderabadi biryani is truly exceptional, with the spicy, rich flavors and perfectly cooked goat meat exuding a delightful aroma. We were also impressed by their dosa. We hope they continue to serve up delicious Indian cuisine while maintaining their high quality. We highly recommend this restaurant."

"The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious. The chef is skilled and I've never had a disappointing meal here. Unfortunately, the lack of ambiance can be attributed to the small number of diners. During my last visit, no one checked on us after serving the main dishes, which is a service issue that should be addressed, especially given the low number of customers."

"The absolute best experience and by far the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The prices are so reasonable so I highly recommend getting a little bit of everything and doing family style. I was able to try the garlic, plain and spinach naan, samosas, pakora, lamb biryani, and chicken saag. The food was absolutely phenomenal and it paired beautifully with their mango juice which was incredibly fresh. Mohan went above and beyond to make sure every dish was amazing and catered to our dietary needs/preferences. Him and Sophie also consistently checked on us to make sure we always had everything we needed. I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back as soon as possible!"

"As local Somerville residents we enjoy this place a lot. It's our go to curry spot when we have a craving. Love the vegan options. Only downside is when visiting the restaurant they don't serve alcohol but we have regular take out from here and it's just as yummy. Highly recommend a visit or take out"

"I used to frequent this restaurant a lot in 2020, and the food was well prepared and extremely flavorful. I moved away for about 3 years and returned to Columbia MD not long ago. And the very first place I made sure to visit was Chutney. Well, unfortunately, I’m incredibly disappointed with the food I recv’d today. It was soooo bland and had absolutely NO flavor!!! I spent close to $30 for my meal and ended up throwing half of it in the trash. Not sure what happened in the three years I was gone, if they have a new chef or what. But the food was really bad. I don’t even think I can chance it giving them another try in the event that today was just a one off. $30 down the drain. What a huge disappointment. Smh"

"I would give it 0 stars if I could. This restaurant used to be good but it is really awful these days. Where do I even begin. I ordered starters and some food. They ended up bringing the main course first and mid way through finishing my main course theybring the starters. The Mysore masala dosa was really really bad. We ordered malai kofta which was really good but thedisappointment was the onion kulcha and paneer naan. They were the size of a thin roti. The photo I added is the onion kulcha,it looks like a kulcha papad if you ask me. Our starters were chili bhajji which was ok but the chili paneer was absolutelyhorrendous. We couldn?t even eat a single piece of paneer. It was paneer marinating in something that looked like a cheap tomatosauce. If this place is known for Biryani they should abandon everything else and just sell Biryani. I have never been to arestaurant and felt so unhappy while leaving the place. The icing on the cake, the lassi we ordered was only three-fourth full."

"Regardless of the size of your order, you’ll have to wait 30 to 40 minutes to receive it. They change the prices in their system but not on the menu board, so you might see one price but be charged another. Additionally, they ruined my Kashmiri tea and ultimately served me a poor-quality version. If you don’t understand customer service, you might as well close the business."

"Visited Sep 19, 2023, Thursday afternoon for lunch. Please note that this place seems to have changed hands in ownership. They don't offer buffet anymore but you can still see the old buffet containers against the wall, not sure what purpose it serve but seems to just take up space and give a kind of wrong impression but anyway, I think not very important. Ambience is good and the place is nice and clean. Was not very busy at the time of my visit. Currently, it seems to be run by a South Indian family, you can see the center piece decoration on the wall and the two paintings one on the right and one one left seems to have been left by previous north Indian owners. Anyways, the food quality is very good. Prices are good. Not too low, nor too high but right where they should be. Service is good. Not the top notch as sometime the limited staff may be busy with other things like at the cash register, dealing with pick up orders and may not be able to pay attention to people at tables. The parking is free and available for a bunch of shops in the small mini market/compound. You may or may not find a parking spot there based on how busy all the shops are at that particular hour. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it but the only downside was they taxed each item twice, first the item was taxed and on the total amount it was taxed again. When it was brought to the attention of the staff they said they have recently updated their Clover POS system. But no apology was issued for the incorrect billing and in fact, no correct in the bill was made and they were happy to charge me double taxed sum, which I believe is illegal but I didn't want to ruin my mood for this glitch."

"I've visited this restaurant twice and had a pleasant dining experience on both occasions. However, I found that their vegan options were more limited than I anticipated, and to be honest, the service could use some improvement. The prices are a bit on the higher side, likely due to the restaurant's prime location. I tried the chana masala and a special Daal-Idr dish, and they were able to prepare a vegan version of the vindaloo for me. While the vindaloo wasn't very spicy, I was still quite satisfied with my meal."

"this place is located in the city of nashville. hygiene: again it was not according to standards of the it area was clean, but toilets were in a chaos eating: we ordered for samosas, lamm vindaloo, huhn and goat biryani with garlauch naan. the food was all served hot and fresh, but it was not lacking aromen know, but a feeling that I had was to offer more on American palette. could have been much better his price-performance ratio: the restaurant is a bit steep they should see to reduce their price somewhat."

"Now, regarding that mystery ingredient: I understand that Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice is a fusion of Indian and Sichuan cuisines, and I've enjoyed this dish countless times in the past. However, I had never encountered cumin—especially in such generous amounts—in Schezwan fried rice before. It was evident that the chef opted to use Jeera Rice (cumin rice) as the base for this dish instead of the traditional white rice. I'm not sure if this decision stemmed from laziness or a lack of white rice, but it was disappointing nonetheless. I ended up taking the dish home, where I prepared my own version. I sliced a chicken breast, added red pepper and Sichuan spices, and stir-fried it with some onions. Since I couldn't pick out the cumin from the rice, I had to work with what I had. For Mrs. Kumar's, I've included a picture of how Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice should truly be made. **Service:** Dine-in **Meal type:** Dinner **Price per person:** $20–30 **Food:** 1 **Service:** 3 **Atmosphere:** 4"

"Tried this while I was close by …. Food was hit n miss , some dishes were good and some average . The salt was on the higher side. The service was slow , they brought main dishes earlier and naans came much later . Also the attitude of some staff was unfriendly. When asked to bring extra hot Chai , the server said to come inside the kitchen to drink , that was very rude and unprofessional. Only the young guy with a turban had a smiling friendly face . Hope they learn some customer satisfaction etiquettes ."

"I visited this place a while ago and was pleasantly surprised by their quality of food and service. We (a colleague, my husband and I) went there for lunch and they had buffet. We were seated first in booths and then asked buffet or a la carte. Alot of people go there for lunch buffet simply because they have a good range of vegetarian and non veg options. The food is fresh and hot/warm. They have plain naan bread or tandoori roti and plain rice along atleast 8-10 dishes. I believe there were 4-5 vegetarian options and 3-4 chicken/mutton (I don't think they had fish or shrimp) options. One from each is an appetizer too. The food is a bit buttery and creamy like you would expect from an Indian restaurant. It maybe mellowed for american customers..I'm not big into spicy so this place was perfect. Atleast the buffet items were not spicy. So, if you're craving indian comfort food ..you must try! They also had three dessert options... And I tried all their desserts. Gulab jamun and halwa are much better than if you see anything fusion, like a custard... They also have tea or masala chai I believe. But ofcourse, if you'd like to add anything else, you can order a la carte and adjust the spicy levels. During covid I believe the only option you have is pickup. I have not tried going to the restaurant during this pandemic I have gone repeatedly to the milan store actually to get my groceries (indian) and they pretty much have frozen and ready to eat meals too if you want to store it at home and eat later on. You could experiment at home if you're scared to try something at the restaurant. And ofcourse, ask any questions you'd like if you're uncertain about buying. The interiors are nice and clean and the servers/hosts speak English, so do not hesitate to enter and ask questions regarding food. There is plenty of parking outside and no wifi inside. I would give the food 4 stars, interiors 3.5 stars and service 4 stars. Easy way to locate is there is a food truck with lots of graphics standing right outside the grocery store... And if not, then it's opposite to the plaza that has cold stone. Hope you can try and enjoy indian food!"

"I have been coming here since I moved to San Pablo. Every time I am pleasantly surprised at how talented these folks are at making delicious meals. I always want to try something different, but I am a creature of habit I am addicted to the fish rogan josh. There are other yummy choices, like the lamb curry. It does not matter what main dish you choose they will satisfy your taste buds, especially if you use some garlic naan to accent every bite. The price is not cheap, so expect to drop a good chunk of change if you take your sweetheart out to dinner, but they will not be disappointed. The portions are perfect enough to fill up the biggest of eaters. The place is small if you want to dine in, but they also offer takeout. If you want something good to eat give this place a try, your stomach will thank you."
