"This is the best Indian food I ever had here in Bakersfield. The food is amazing and unique, full of spices and flavors that you may not have tried before. The service is also very amazing, fast serving and very clean. When I eat there, all empty tables are clean and ready for a new guest. The food is first strong for those who had never Indian food, but on the second visit it is amazing. So amazing that you desire for the spices they put in the meals. My personal favorite dish they serve is the chicken Biryani, it has chickens, onions, peppers, cinnamon sticks, rice and spices. It has a large portion size and it is affordable. If you ever want to taste Indian food in a restaurant, I recommend this place. You can't go wrong! Just know, eat slowly and not so sharp for new eaters."

Naan was undercooked. Chai was not hot and had little milk. Malai Koftas Kofta were undercooked, felt like eating dough. Samosas had some mashed potatoes and nothing else. Won't go there again

This is the best restaurant we have ever visited. We had dinner there, and the food was incredibly delicious. The staff were attentive and well-mannered, and the owner was very friendly. We will definitely return when we come back from our trip.

At New Taj Palace Indian, the naan was surprisingly bland, and the chai arrived lukewarm with barely any milk. The Malai Kofta was overcooked, giving it a doughy texture, while the samosas were filled with just potatoes and lacked variety. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning to this restaurant’s menu.

On our way back from Vegas to the Bay Area, we were searching for an outstanding Indian restaurant, and New Taj Palace Indian exceeded our expectations with incredible flavors. We enjoyed Dhaba-style dishes and couldn't have been more satisfied. The Yellow Dal Tadka, Jeera Rice, Papad, onions, and lemons were perfect. What more could you ask for? The Yellow Dal Tadka is a must-try. I will definitely return to explore more of the menu whenever I get the chance. Highly recommended!
