"I typically have fantastic experiences at Oberweis and always look forward to visiting when I'm near one, but I was let down this time. I faced complications while ordering my usual customized banana royale, something I've been ordering for over 20 years. The new system attempted to charge me for substituting ice creams and toppings, but fortunately, the manager intervened when I raised my concerns. Although my preferred flavors made it into the dish, the whipped cream was flat, and instead of pecans, I received peanuts—definitely not what I wanted. The ice cream was also too soft, resulting in a presentation that was a mess, as you can see in the picture—something that should never have been served. To top it off, the banana was overly ripe and mushy. I hope this was just an isolated incident due to staff needing more training, as I have always been impressed with every location in the past."
