"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"Jacob was our server. He is very knowledgeable about the menu and delightful We sat on the patio which was quiet. We were the only ones there for over an hour. A party of arrived later so noise level increased but was still quiet. We cannot speak to the noise level inside Menu is interesting has a lot of variety. Both of us has the Cauliflower salad (a bed of a variety of greens with cauflower varietiels added) which was very good and vegan friendly. Cauliflower was a bit on the sparse side Also had the Waygu Chili which was excellent. Tried it based on Jacob's recommendation and would order again The Cinnamon Coffee Cake with Tres Leche sauce was tasty. The sauce made an interesting twist. Plenty to share or take home We had looked at the online menu before arriving. There were lunch specials online but not on the paper menu at the restaurant. When we asked Jacob, he was able to accommodate (had soup salad combo). The Beyond Burger is no longer available. Online menu needs to be updated We had a good experience will return."

"Stopped in for a quick to go order en route home via public transport from a long work day on my feet. I was greeted warmly with a smile even though probably looked like a bag lady with my multiple tote bags with work supplies LOL. The to go order attendant was a young and very helpful gentleman that went through the trouble of ascertaining the exact cooking process and ingredients of the Brussel Sprouts so that I may be better informed in my decision to try them! I did and also got the vegetable soup I originally came in for as well as the butternut squash soup...because it's butternut squash soup. All 3 were packed with care and absolutely delicious! I drank the squash soup like juice and later enjoyed the Sprouts and veggie soup when I wasn't too lazy to chew or hold up a utensil-they were seriously all delicious. Delicious fresh ingredients prepared with care-precisely what my body was craving.I'm new to the area but I thought for an organic farm to table type of situation, the prices were very fair at approximately $8 a dish. Well worth it considering how much I spend on fast food (don't judge me! . I wasn't in any condition to eat in their dining room after working so many hours but I would certainly return with friends, family, or on a date! I noticed they had an extensive bar in the main dining room side and even have a separate and ginormous looking event venue space adjacent to the restaurant.Will certainly be returning for more stuff things : Vegetarian options: Though I am not vegetarian, all 3 dishes I got were and I saw several more on the menu. Some items were sold as vegetarian with meat add on options. Dietary restrictions: Even the to-go server at the end of a long Friday shift was extremely willing to ascertain the exact cooking process, ingredients, and possible cross contaminants involved in my selected preferences. I just asked how they were cooked out of curiosity but this proved to me they will take any special requests seriously! Parking: Huge parking lot. I can't imagine you not being able to find spots unless....you're late to wedding they're hosting? Kid-friendliness: I saw lots of families with children of all ages dining while I waited for my order. Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible-ample parking nearby, well lit wide ramps to entrances into dining room, ample space in passageways between tables and en route to bathrooms"

"Very disappointing! This restaurant was my favorite restaurant, not much anymore, especially being it was my birthday dinner. The front was very pleasant and welcoming. However as for our dinner... I ordered the halibut local catch, the flavor was delicious however it was a cold plate, after ordering, the plates came to the table in a matter of just minutes in what seems like the restaurant was at full capacity. Which only makes us imagine that plates were just sitting around waiting for someone to order it. My husband ordered a swordfish, never have we seen such a thin cut swordfish, very dry, flavorless and simple, he took a couple of bites, did not finish it, we took it home but threw it away deciding no on would ever eat it. Everything was rushed, servers seemed robotic, did not ask how we're enjoying our meals. The complementary birthday dessert was for us chocolaty sweet as we are use to French cakes.The time before we had dinner the steaks we ordered was underdone, we're not complainers and wanted to give my favorite restaurant another try. I can't give it a five star, blah experience."

"Our dinner at Shepard’s was phenomenal from start to finish! My fiancée and I were celebrating our engagement and could not have picked a better spot to wrap up a very special day. The service was outstanding shout out to our server and the manager Matt for making us feel welcome and snapping a few great photos of us before we left. What’s even more impressive at Shepard’s is the food though. Chef Scott cooked up some incredibly well composed dishes that truly made the night memorable. Each dish was so well put together and all of the flavors of each menu item were dazzling. Our favorites were the Mushroom Risotto and Whitefield’s Farm Chicken Breast (but it’s tough to narrow it down to only two)! Shepard’s also has a great wine list with some of the most prestigious and sought after selections from almost every major wine region. We went with a 2013 Paolo Scavino Barolo and were very impressed! We will 100% be visiting again as soon as we come back north!!!"

"Wow this place was good. I recommend getting a reservation first because they seemed very busy. I had a “burger” and couldn’t tell that much of a difference that it was actually all plants. The burger was very tasty, it had pickles, peppers, cheese, micro greens, and focaccia bread as the bun. The only down side was that it was difficult to eat and messy. The fries that came with it were amazing! We also got a smoothie called raw passion. It was yummy! Sweet, but not too sweet, and tasted like berries and passion fruit. We also got stuffed pepper eggplant special dish. It was good. Very flavorful and the textures were nice. It came with brown rice. Fun place to try if you’ve never eaten at a vegan place."

"We used to love village cork. Unfortunately it seems that as their restaurant expanded, so did their prices. I have no problem paying for a salad. I like salad. I don't like when my sad is smaller than the size of my balled up fist. It's a broccoli salad, people! Broccoli is not expensive!! The ravioli or Can't remember) contained three small ravioli. I get that if it's filled with lobster or gold shavings. But this was vegetarian ravioli. The only item that had any heft to it was the poutine... Which contained soggy fries. YEs, poutines are covered in gravy, but the fries should at least have been crispy at some point in their lives. We won't be dining here again. Overpriced and underwhelming. "Small plates" does not mean you get to rip off your customer"

"Catch is a well known seafood spot in Meatpacking that offers creative gastronomical fusion. It also houses a very trendy club in the later hours of the night. I’ll review both here. The restaurant: Food is good and very modern in terms of style, presentation, and even “flare”. The prices are very high, however, so the value is closer to 4 stars. Food quality is 4.5 stars. Excellent service. And a very good ambiance with great music and fun people watching. Overall: Fun to go if someone else is picking up the tab, or for a trendy celebration. From a pure food-value perspective, the city has much better seafood restaurants. The club: Very exclusive on weekends. Full of trust fund kids with tables, very young (sometimes underage) models wannabe models, the occasional celebrity, some middle age dudes, and an eclectic crowd of whoever else is allowed in. Definitely dress to impress at the door, and arriving early (before 10:30) is the easiest ticket in. Music is good, but LOUD. Crowd gets sloppy as the night goes on (because of its youthfulness). I liked catch more in my mid 20s, but it continues to have its moments. Just be ready to TURN UP, and don’t get too upset when a drink is inevitably spilled on you. 4 stars for the club, but it’s definitely fun to go if you have never been."

"This restaurant is conveniently situated and quite easy to find. While parking can be somewhat tricky, it's not a major concern. We visited right after arriving in town, and we had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, the staff was welcoming, and the food and beer options were impressive. "I recently had one of the best experiences at a chain restaurant in a while. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the nicely cooked steak I ordered. In my opinion, this restaurant is better than Outback. The service was attentive and the salad bar was decent. I do wish they still served the pumpernickel bread with honey butter, but that was a long time ago. Nevertheless, this is a fantastic spot for a delicious meal and excellent service."

"The food quality has always been consistently excellent and reasonably priced. Normally, service is also spot on. However, today was an exception. There was no line at the front when we arrived, and instead of ordering at the bar as we typically do, a server directed us to find a table and assured us he would take our order. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting 45 minutes without even a glass of water on our table. We had to remind the staff about our drink orders, especially after noticing that a group seated 15 minutes after us received their drinks first. To add to our disappointment, the food was not prepared according to our requests, and one person in our party was left without any food while the rest of us were served. Additionally, we didn’t receive our ketchup or aioli with the sweet potato fries, and by the time it finally arrived, we had already finished eating. Today’s service definitely fell short of what we’ve come to expect at this restaurant. We expressed our concerns to several waitstaff and eventually to the manager, who made amends. Despite this mishap, we still plan to return as this is one of our favorite spots in the area."

"We stayed at the Melrose Georgetown for two nights when visiting our daughter who had recently moved to Washington. The Melrose is a lovely boutique hotel in a great DC location. It is in a quiet section of Pennsylvania Avenue yet walking distance from the major Washington sites as well as Georgetown. The lobby is very pretty and has plenty of comfortable seating. The hotel rooms have nice furnishings and are quite comfortable. The Melrose provides free Lavazza coffee and flavored water in the lobby, which we enjoyed. But what really sets the hotel apart is the professional and friendly staff. Lelise, who checked us in, exudes warmth and is a great ambassador for the hotel. She couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay several times asking us whether we needed anything. We will be back, and look forward to our next stay at the Melrose!"

"I’m currently sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee from my Friends Lake Inn mug, wrapped in my cozy Friends Lake Inn robe, and wishing I could go back! I've stayed at many hotels and motels over the years, but this one has quickly become a favorite. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the inn along with its history, which I absolutely loved. The location was stunning, the food was exceptional (and trust me, I have high standards when it comes to food), but the standout feature was the service. Every person we encountered was incredibly friendly—I started to wonder if there was something special in the water, they were just that nice! It was the most welcoming and inviting place I have ever visited. The staff were outstanding, and everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It was clear that everyone there takes great pride in caring for both the property and its guests. We will definitely be returning!"
