"Catch is a well known seafood spot in Meatpacking that offers creative gastronomical fusion. It also houses a very trendy club in the later hours of the night. I’ll review both here. The restaurant: Food is good and very modern in terms of style, presentation, and even “flare”. The prices are very high, however, so the value is closer to 4 stars. Food quality is 4.5 stars. Excellent service. And a very good ambiance with great music and fun people watching. Overall: Fun to go if someone else is picking up the tab, or for a trendy celebration. From a pure food-value perspective, the city has much better seafood restaurants. The club: Very exclusive on weekends. Full of trust fund kids with tables, very young (sometimes underage) models wannabe models, the occasional celebrity, some middle age dudes, and an eclectic crowd of whoever else is allowed in. Definitely dress to impress at the door, and arriving early (before 10:30) is the easiest ticket in. Music is good, but LOUD. Crowd gets sloppy as the night goes on (because of its youthfulness). I liked catch more in my mid 20s, but it continues to have its moments. Just be ready to TURN UP, and don’t get too upset when a drink is inevitably spilled on you. 4 stars for the club, but it’s definitely fun to go if you have never been."

Great atmosphere. Good food and service. It was packed so make sure to reserve and even though you will be asked to wait a little bit.

Very fancy place. We got a table on the rooftop. The truffle sashimi was great to start with. We got the porter house as a main as well as the mushroom spaghetti.. all very good food. The cocktails were amazing too. The place gets quite packed, so make reservations for sure.

Great fish restaurant overall. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fast service. However, there is no easy parking/valet service option available. It's very very loud inside. I'm sure they can do some kind sound isolation if they really wanted. Prices are pretty high scale. View menu

Really great spot for dinner. The atmosphere here is great perfect for any occasion. The staff are very attentive and the menu is great. The food is very tasty, although some of the portions are quite small. I suppose that gives you space for dessert they have great dessert here! Overall a lovely experience.

Again, another good choice for dining in the meatpacking district. The location is just spot on. The food was not that memorable however. Except for their signature Sushi, which was great. The place is vast and spacious. It went at night, and it was a little dim for my taste. It is on the pricey side, but the reason for the 3 stars is the service: They have a lot room for improvement in that department.

The food was excellent, but I had to deduct a star for the service. After being seated, we waited at least 20 minutes without a waiter coming to attend to us, and we had to ask several times before they finally brought us tap water. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but there were plenty of open tables. Despite this, the food was fantastic, so I would certainly consider returning. I recognize that this might have been an isolated incident, and I will update my review if I visit again in the future. View menu

I visited this restaurant for New York Restaurant Week and opted for the $125 per person menu, which was absolutely worth it. Each of the four courses was exceptional. Just when I thought I couldn't eat another bite or that the meal couldn't improve, it did. Even the chocolate dessert was incredible—seriously, it tempted me to indulge even more, despite feeling full. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance was pleasant, though it did get a bit loud as the evening went on. But that's just a sign of people enjoying their meal and having a good time. I can't wait to return, once I've burned off some of those calories!

Spot has a solid reputation, and the food was enjoyable. It's the kind of place you visit for the experience. However, we ordered some dishes to share and a few drinks, only to discover that over half of our bill was for drinks, which are excessively overpriced compared to other excellent restaurants in the area that offer similar drinks for much less. It's really disappointing. Our dinner lasted less than an hour and a half, and there’s no justification for a glass of alcohol filled with ice costing around $25—the same price as an appetizer at your restaurant. On a positive note, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Thank you to everyone at Catch NYC!
