"First time visiting Max 's At The Opera and it was an underwhelming experience to say the least. We were attracted to the restaurant because of the large menu, outdoor seating deck, and live piano player. Despite standing in one of the two doorways, where a bulk of the customers and the bar is located, no one attempted to help us. After waiting for 4 minutes, being seen by staff, I had to approach the bar and ask the bartender, who can help? Should we seat ourselves? to which she replied yes, you can sit there (indicating the other side). The customer service was absolutely SUBPAR. To be honest, it was embarrassing! After walking to the other side, a hostess, who seemed disinterested, said, you can sit anywhere. After a few minutes of being seated, our server, who didn 't introduce himself and also seemed disinterested in helping, haphazardly gave us menus. No hello my name is, and I recommend. Absolutely nothing. I 'm not sure if the service is always pathetic or if there was a racial undertone to the lack of quality service we received. We ordered a Beyond Meat Burger with sweet potato fries, an order of fries, and the crab cake dinner. The fries that we ordered as an appetizer, came out with the meal. The food was okay (not bad, but, nothing to celebrate). Overall, I 'm not sure I 'll go back."

"I haven't been to Max's in years but had to take someone to the airport and thought this would be a perfect place. Upon entering, I noticed there weren't that many people in there on a Sunday around noon there was an unpleasant smell to the restaurant. When we sat down at our table, the menus were sticky. I can't stand that. It makes me feel like the place is unclean. I ordered a 1/2 pastrami sandwich and green salad. The salad was overdressed and had so many different things in it, I didn't really like it. The sandwich is what I always remember about Max's; delicious pastrami w/lots of flavor. This was pretty bland. My guests ordered sandwiches as well and it was OK, nothing special. Very disappointing."

"Family. Finding somewhere to call home in New York City can be the hardest thing, but The Jeffrey does just that. This establishment has continued to be one of the most important places to me, my friends and every New Zealander who goes to New York(who ask me for some good places to go). The Jeffrey has provided a warm, loving atmosphere where the best beers, great food and fantastic conversation can be found. Nestled next to the famous Ed Koch(Queens Borough) bridge, the Jeffrey provides a unique setting in the upper east side. The morning coffee is made with precision and talent which rivals the best in the city; paired with a croissant, there is no better way to start the day. Grab some lunch in the beer garden, the homemade IPA infused mustard on the turkey sandwich was delicious. As the evening rolls around the oysters are to die for, the fresh handcut chips make the world a better place and the devils on horseback(dates wrapped in bacon) make you never want to leave. The Jeffrey boasts one of the finest craft beer lists in the city, with 30 taps constantly rotating and a very well trained team behind the bar, you will never go thirsty and you will never have to drink another terrible Coors Light again. Jacob aka The Bearded Alchemist, is something special. He runs a cocktail lab where nothing is the same two nights in a row. His knowledge and passion his art makes the Jeffrey not only a world class beer bar, but a world class cocktail bar as well. I cannot speak any higher of his talent in combining, shaking, stiring, and pouring a wide range of delectable beverages (I would recommend the Honey Badger). All up the great beer, great food and great cocktails don't make the Jeffrey special. These put it on the road map, on the long list of great places in New York. What makes the Jeffrey truly great is the staff. The intelligent, wonderful people who always have a food or beer recommendation, always help start bar and table conversation and always display nothing but professionalism and a friendly disposition. These people made it home, made it family and made it everything you could hope to find in the city."

"This is far more like fine dining than Diner would suggest. This weekend we were here 3 times. Dinner Friday, Breakfast and Dinner Sunday. We were hosting out of town guests and brought 3 different groups to Chit Chat...foodies, children, fussy eaters and those with allergies and big appetites ALL VERY SATISFIED. The food is spectacular here. Fresh, delicious, generous portions. Whether you 're coming for breakfast (which I 've done multiple times), a working lunch or a relaxed dinner the Menu and Specials do it all. There 's not only something for everyone, it 's always consistent, delicious, hot and there will be leftovers. Our son loves the fig and gouda burger. I 've recently tried their chicken and waffles and their fried chicken is absolutely delicious (the individual bottle of syrup a sweet touch)... but so is their gyro platter, with THE BEST Greek fries EVER. They often have a roasted chicken that 's exceptional too. Their French onion, Chicken Noodles, Creamy Mushroom and Matzoh Ball soups are DELICIOUS. This weekend was the first time I gave their bar a try. My Mai Tai was perfect (and strong), my cousin 's jalapeño margaritas was sweet, spicy, salty and sour delicious. Saving the best for last. Service. These servers work their tails off. They 're attentive, fast, efficient, and terribly friendly. On Friday, we got there an hour before 2 others from our group. Our server paced accordingly. He never rushed us and he gushed with appreciation when our tip was tripled to accommodate for a table that could have turned over twice in the time that we were there. Bussing tables is an art, one part attentive to snag dishes as they empty without being too pesky. Their reach is always right, careful and comes with a thank you. I 've never had a bad server. I 've never had a mistake with an order. Sunday night we were a big group everyone got what they ordered, same time and fast. The hosts have a tough job since there 's usually a bit of a wait... they 're friendly and fast. And, the owner is hyper vigilant and exacting... making sure everything is right, perfect. And, that 's the recipe for a place where you keep wanting to return. It 's a bit busy, the decor... but eclectic and fun. Think, Alice in Wonderland fell into fine dining. The view. Hopefully you get a window seat on a clear day!! Yes, go try it! Vegetarian options: This is my go to with vegetarian friends. Vegans even. There 's always a couple options on Specials. And, the regular menu has plenty to choose from... you 're not just stuck looking at salad. Dietary restrictions: We had 2 guests one with allergies, one elderly with specific needs. They 're CAREFUL about allergies, checked each time the question was asked. My elderly Aunt raved about how perfectly they prepared to her specifications. Kid friendliness: Kids love this place, the vibrant colors, the activities left at the table, the view. The food options!!"

"I've been here before and enjoyed it, but I have to say that for the price it was moderate. we all had the traditional turkey dinner and it was just okay. for $65 they would think it would have been a little extra and they would tell us about the door that cold air broke up on me everything that opened the door. "We decided to go here for Mother’s Day and had never been before . I made reservations on OpenTable when . we got there early and we were told that open table was not working and they were unable to seat us for another hour and a half . We were told that open table was the issue but really it was because because apparently they were understaffed and we needed to wait until 12 when their patio servers came in. Then later on after a hour had gone by we were seated . Our server complained the entire time and was put off by any request that we had . even for simple things like more water or extra napkins etc. she complained about having to work and how she had multiple jobs and she was really tired. It was super awkward for everyone. And this was my first mother’s fay. It Ahhh qs very upsetting. We were sat at a table outside on the patio . we sat in the sun for about two hours, when the people next to us were given umbrellas to cover their table we had to ask and not only ask but go and pick up the umbrellas to sit in her section. every question we asked we got some sarcastic comment and she seemed bothered by any request we had. It took an hour and a half for our food to come out so some of the people in our party had to take theirs to go. The waitress came back to the table and said I asked for my manager to come speak to you did he we said no and she said well I told him that wasn’t my fault that he needed to explain that to you guys. The whole situation was insane I will say that the food was good but I don’t think anyone would want to go back after that experience the manager did cop our food but there was never a conversation come out to the table apologize any of that we had to send in somebody to go and talk to them very very very disappointed"

"Atrocious service. Missed the mark in every conceivable way. Server was openly rude and dripping with contempt for my family from beginning to end, and it showed both on her face and in her miserably inattentive service. Not sure if it was our southern accents, my mother’s disability, or just poor training that led to such a terrible experience; but I expected much, much better from a place in this prestigious a property. I didn’t pay for a five star resort to be made to feel unwelcome by the tavern waitstaff.Food was alright, but not near good enough to make up for the service."

"Been coming here for many years, for parties, business and personal dinners, but this last visit was disappointing. Several food items arrived cold or overcooked. The waiter forgot to bring an item we ordered and it wasn't even acknowledged. For the prices paid, I don't believe the value warrants another visit. I will, however, note that the entire staff knew this was an anniversary celebration and that was a nice touch. Sorry to say I cannot recommend the Highlawn, at this time. It seems to have lost its luster as being one of the finest establishments in the area. Quality of food, service and overall value always outweigh location and ambience."

"First, we got so lucky with our server, Jordan. He was lovely from the first introduction and very informative about the dishes and drinks we were interested in. He checked in regularly but not in a bothersome way. He let us know the kitchen was closing soon and that he was leaving but putting us in good hands with someone else. "Great restaurant! A hidden gem. Openaire excels in every aspect. The staff is friendly without being intrusive. Everything here has a laid-back California vibe, from the cuisine to the dining areas. Valet parking is your best option. I highly recommend the brunch; it offers a delightful variety of dishes. Our party of three ordered three completely different plates, and everything was delicious. The flavors are remarkable and truly engage your palate. It's a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend it!"

"we went to their restaurant in playa del rey and eating was amazing, the service was abominable and we wrote an evaluation and they reacted by giving us a gift certificate that we used in the glendale restaurant and we will continue to come back because the service was great the eating was great all there. the restaurant playa delray is also located outside the parking space, which is approximately an angle of 30 degrees from the rear to the front. so every table is slanted downhill, it is really a strange set up and not quite comfortable in the opposite to glendale, which is amazing."

"fielding’s is one of my favorite! it is always a great experience with delicious food! I usually try the weekly or seasonal special, but they had the return on the menu yesterday, which gives them slider of three of their most popular burgers and, as always, they did not disappoint! the taste combinations they have are both fun and perfectly balanced. one of my favorites is the Texas blues'. this burger is excellent! all bark patty, red bevelled, freshly cut jalapeños, coy jalape and gorgonzola cheese. the sweet, salty, spicy combo blows me away every time! the return device also has a smoke' slide, which, quite simply, has a fried egg. what is better than a fried egg on her burger? not much! the service at fielding is always friendly and attentive, but not overlaid; perfect for talks without interruption. the ambiente invites without being too loud or too calm. fielding’s is the perfect place for a casual business lunch or a pleasant eating with their family. a unique but very important function (per my son), they have an iPad station with ipads that can entertain children while waiting for eating or waiting for adult meal or conversation to finish. overall an excellent eating experience and I recommend fielding’s for your next lunch or dinner!"

"Crowded inside/outside for dinner! Parking will be rough! Dishes were made with care, medium size portions and generally top tier! "Located in the heart of Lake Nona, this place had good service, great tasting food and beautiful furniture with a very hip and modern feeling, everything. My wife and I stopped here for Sunday brunch and wow... it was soooo good! This place seemed to bounce with cartridges and was very alive. We both ordered the Corned Beef Hash court that our waiter recommended after asking for some other dishes. When it was served, I thought it wasn't that big part, but the appearance was deceived in this case, because about half the way through me became quite full. It tastes super delicious. My wife felt the same. We really enjoyed everything that this place had to offer and would not hesitate to dive back here. Wonderful!"

"city cellar used to be our place for a long time. Safe and slow it has gone very south as so many other good restaurants. the days were, as service was always amazing, wein expert was right there and eating was consistent. Today was a crazy house that we were greeted with the kitchen, is far behind and overwhelmed and we need to wait 40 minutes behind our reservation time. very nicely informed that we had filmtickets so that the host, not the very young lady who said that kitchen is overwhelmed, but the lady who took the time to be pleasant and said I will do what I can. we waited about 20 minutes and sat. our waitress came and offered water and we were ready to order. no cappuccino because there were no tassen or tassen. no egg benedict no sweet tee no quiche or half the article on open table menu. I have cooked for avocado toast an egg over and the other artyy under. we said we take the cappuccino into a cup when well cappuccinos came magically and liked to be in regular ceramic cups. no word of waitress. the times are hard and therefore we only go to mama and pops spots that go out of their way to happen. very disappointing experience today"

"overall very disappointing. No one has greeted us or recognized us, did not feel welcomed from the beginning. they were from what I wanted on the menu. we were served so fast that our cocktails have not yet been prepared. the meat was served without the wine and the meat was very smokey, so easy to know that her style. we got truffles and they were frozen in a round with truffle oil. I can do this at home. we can do much better for much cheaper. strong restaurants are far overrated. if the aim is to get people out there in a laune and serve as many tables as possible, mission accomplished! we sat in about 45 minutes. we never go out and that's why. Of course we will not be back to one of their restaurants. What a waste!"

"We had a reservation for Easter brunch at a restaurant where a face painting event was taking place. We arrived late, but the management was very accommodating, especially since the place was nearly empty when we arrived. We were seated right beside the lady doing face painting for kids, which was cute. The adult food menu seemed to be exceptional; I ordered the lobster brunch (lobster and shrimp benny) and my partner had the salmon brunch (westcoast benny). While the lobster and shrimp were a bit hard to detect in my dish, overall the food was very good. The hashbrowns were soft, not greasy, and delicious. However, my child's mac and cheese was disappointing - he took one bite and left it. The server seemed a bit under pressure, perhaps anticipating a busy day, but she did check on us during our meal. We didn't stay long after finishing our food, but the atmosphere was welcoming and the restaurant was clean. While the food was good, I expected a bit more for the price. I would recommend the restaurant, but it's not likely that we'll be returning in the near future."

"I am sooooo in love with this place!! I rarely write reviews on any of my dining experiences, but but everything we ordered at Amelie was amazing and the service was exceptional. The guys that work here are all so friendly and go above and beyond to make your dining experience the very best. We had both types of oysters offered as part of the daily special, escargot, mussels, cheese/charcuterie plate and the creme brulee for dinner and every dish was spectacular. They continuously refill a bag of delicious baguette slices and the cocktail that I ordered called the Lady Grey was the very favorite (boyfriend also loved his classic manhattans) During our dinner, two different servers were finishing up their shifts and both stopped by our table to thank us and say farewell before heading out the door. You could tell this was a genuine act of friendliness on both their parts and not part of any routine that they were trained to do This place is such a gem, I can't wait to get back here soon for a night out with my girls!"

"Had brunch here with several of my friends. Amazing brunch cocktails and the food was spectacular. Was able to get the Brunch/ Sunrise Pizza that was online but not on the printed menu. SO GOOD. Apps were good too, my friends liked the okra (not my fav veggie, not for me to rate), but the Brussel sprouts were awesome. Service could use some work especially since there were only a handful of tables filled. Loved how quiet the space was, a lot of places have started blasting music and I'm glad they don't here."
