Crisp-fried slices of tender beef testicles, seasoned and served with tangy dipping sauce for a hearty, bold Western treat.

"The food at the Fort was exceptional, though it should be noted that it is not a budget-friendly option. We started with a half order of Rocky Mountain oysters as an appetizer, ordered a sirloin and ribeye with sides, and enjoyed a couple of drinks each. A complimentary bread basket was also included. With a total bill of around $200 before tip and taxes, it may not be the most economical choice, but it is well worth it for a special night out, celebratory occasion, or unique experience. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. The portions were generous, allowing us to bring leftovers home and enjoy them the next day. We were more than satisfied with our meal and the overall experience. Keeping in mind the price point, we were happy to splurge for a memorable evening. I highly recommend adding the Fort to your list for a special dining experience."

"Was a unique and great experience for the price. We started off with a sleight ride and had a great guide. In the middle we stopped and ate some authentic Montana chili and had some drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Then after we ended with the rest of the sleigh ride. The sky was lit up that night with so many stars, beautiful sight."

"I live in town and so desperately want to love this place, but my experiences always fall so short. I 've been eating here on and off since 2019. The menu has never changed, and the specials are always the same, just rotated. The food lacks character, creativity, and salt. One time my partner and I ordered burgers and requested a fried egg on the burger. We were told the kitchen staff could not add an egg to the burger as, the egg ladies are not here (It was around the afternoon on that day). The service is always friendly, and one time during the great plague of 2020 I got a great deal on a jack n coke to go because of the young and inexperienced wait staff. Unfortunately there are almost always flies present in the restaurant which makes me worried for a chronic source of breeding within the business. The decor is cute, but dated. Many seats, booths, and tables could use a switch out. The taxidermy needs a good dusting and maybe even switched out. And the walls/flooring/etc could use a new coat of paint. I 've never been in the kitchen, but it 's kind of open and I 've peeked in and it looks old, and messy. The bathrooms are also dated, but they 're at least always clean and stocked. I suspect the ownership of the restaurant is probably as old and outdated as the restaurant and menu are. Overall, 2-3/5 stars. The pod always meets my hunger needs, but it 's nothing to write home about."

"While riding my motorcycle from New York to Sturgis, I decided to take a detour to Nebraska for some brunch. I was warmly greeted and served by two young ladies who provided exceptional service and manners. I ordered the blackened catfish with the salad bar, while my friend chose the waffle and bacon. Both dishes arrived promptly and were delicious. The salad bar was impressive, reminding me of the excellent salad bars from the past. I'm grateful for such a great experience, and I want to give a big shoutout to the two young ladies working on Friday morning—you are truly wonderful!"

"We are very happy that we decided to give Anderson Reserve another chance. After our first visit, we were unsure if it was worth going back, but we're so glad we did! The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. There was just one small issue: I think the cook may have misjudged our steak orders. I requested my steak medium, but received it medium rare, while my friend ordered medium and got medium as well. We didn't mention it at the time since the steaks were too good to send back, but I'm confident they would have fixed it if we had said something. Overall, it was an amazing experience—from the beautiful drive and stunning location to the friendly staff and all the delicious options on the menu."

"Ordered the steak described as wagu flat-flank. I asked waitress if it was a flat-iron and she said it was. Although I ordered is rare, it was tough as a boot. No way a flat iron which is the second tenderest cut of beef. Loaded potatoe came with burned black spots on cheese. Lobster tail had no seasoning and was very small. Prices were very high. Had much better yet economical experience at fast food steak houses."

"it is in order to be a negligible. I feel that woodcellar on open table is a misinterpreted to be a finer experience than it is in real life. I was reserved for Valentine's Day and was disappointed. eating looks good on paper, but it was very personal. I started with kicked mushrooms that came out cold. they told us there was no flairon steak, which is a great failure for the holiday. I ordered land fried steak and my wife ordered chicken carbonara. my wife refused the pasta and exchanged with me. it had a suppen consistency that was not very appetizing and very little taste. our fried steak was edible, but very salty gravure, which was not restaurant quality, it stopped being victorious. both dishes fall short what I expected for the price. the sad is that we noticed shortly before leaving that several tables were served to the flat man steak. I wish I had received a statement for it. I'll say our waitress was kind. the bar was full of locals and everyone seemed to enjoy the music. but I will not come back more than a drink. when they advertise a valentine evening event, I expect them to put their best game on."

"In my opinion this place is groovy. Went there for the first time on a Sunday for breakfast and it was great. Me pa ordered the chicken fried steak and I had to try it, I think it's the first CFS I've been able to cut with a fork. Nice an tender. I went back for a drink a few days later and got some wings, tasty, and mozzarella sticks. They are so cute. Little mini carrot sized pieces, loved them. Then I went back today and tried a burger. I would say the burger, to me, was great. Cooked as asked, and a good helping of lettuce/tomato/pickles/etc. I do think this may be a hidden gem. And, the staff was great every time. This is definitely my go to place for a drink or some good food at a good price. Oh and the music on Wednesday night was great. I've live very close to this place for years but never went, I kick myself for not going sooner.Kudos to you at the Rusty Bucket"

"As for the blueberry cobbler stuffed with cheesecake, it really wasn't a cobbler at all. Instead, I received a regular blueberry muffin with no cheesecake filling, which felt like false advertising. Overall, the restaurant needs to improve on managing grease levels and ensuring that orders are prepared as advertised and requested."

"As you can see, the container is empty because I ate it. Lol my husband and I were all in this country and from every state in the USA is the main nativity to die at Teps for totally worth the food and all about it. The bar has the best drinks beautiful and strong with prices of: you get what u pay for. As a trucker, I've ever had the best main nativity I'm trying where I'm going, was mannie's hack house in winter Florida, but this place on top. Her country fried pork is fully cooked, but not tuff or rubber it was perfect. People as very friendly and the staff are great people. This is now a rule on my cards. I can't wait to come back. I'm from grizzly flats California, we do things original and cooked at home, so if it's on my wish I'm sold. The lunch time has different menus, but also its achsante. Burger's hand didn't press before maid. But if you know, just because they close at 1:00, that means that the kitchen closes at 10:00. So come in and get your order while u can."

"Nestled on the parade grounds of a former fort and housed in a charming 1920s clubhouse of an old golf course, this restaurant exudes a wonderful historic charm, with numerous historical photos adorning the walls. The service was both friendly and attentive. The wine selection was impressive, and our steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking, although they had cooled slightly by the time they reached the table. We sampled two specials; while the Cajun potato salad didn't quite hit the mark for me, I appreciated the restaurant's effort to experiment with different flavors and the manager's offer to bring us an alternative side. The soda bread appetizer was delightful, and we nearly finished an entire plate of fried mushrooms just between the two of us. We concluded our meal with a chocolate chip cookie skillet that genuinely tasted homemade, rather than something you might find at a chain restaurant. We are excited about our next visit to see what new specials they come up with!"

"The ambiance and food at this restaurant were fantastic, but unfortunately, the service was quite poor. Our order was mistakenly given to another table, and it took about 25 minutes for the staff to realize the mistake. Once they did, they had to start our order from scratch, resulting in a wait of around 1.5 hours before we finally received our food. We also noticed that the large group at the table next to us experienced terrible service, to the point where a manager came over to address their concerns."

"We stopped at this restaurant on our way to Billings and were greeted by a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, the food was a bit disappointing. We both started with the cheesy broccoli soup, which lacked seasoning and tasted a bit bland. We then ordered the 8oz Bison Sirloin for $35 each, but were surprised to find that the steaks had no seasoning at all. The server had offered Cajun or Montreal seasoning, but we declined assuming the steak would come seasoned as is standard. We later found out that the Montreal seasoning was the basic salt and pepper seasoning. The Bison Sirloin did not have the distinct flavor of Bison and tasted more like a regular steak. The fries were the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, my fiance refused to eat his steak and I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to mine to try and improve the flavor. Although the restaurant has potential, there should be more clarity on how the steaks are prepared and seasoned. While I would consider giving this place another chance, I would advise asking about the seasoning in detail before ordering."

"Hadn't eaten here in over a decade, so we decided to go there for our anniversary dinner. Service, atmosphere, and appetizers were great. However, the 14oz Ribeye and the Serve Turf were not at all what we expected from a steakhouse. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"I wish I could give the service a zero. The waitress had no personality and didn't write down my order, which resulted in it being incorrect. When I mentioned that I couldn't eat my meal due to its preparation, she simply said sorry and walked away. I ordered steak and eggs, but the only thing I could eat was the toast. The hashbrowns were a soggy, mashed-up mess; I've never seen hashbrowns served like that, especially when I specifically ordered them crispy. The steak, which was supposed to be rare, was not, and everything was covered in peppercorns, which was not mentioned on the menu. I don't like peppercorns, and I ended up using three napkins trying to remove them, but it was unsuccessful."

"My husband and I have been dining at Gashouse Restaurant for many years. It 's ambiance and decor is charming and quirky perfect for a mountain lodge . And, then there 's the food! It 's always been well prepared from our fave foods to the many new tastes we 've tried over the years we 've not been disappointed. Staff is professional, energetic, knowledgeable and on top of their job. This year was no different. Some new faces, but same skill and menu knowledge as always. We recommend this great local restaurant!"
