"Nestled on the parade grounds of a former fort and housed in a charming 1920s clubhouse of an old golf course, this restaurant exudes a wonderful historic charm, with numerous historical photos adorning the walls. The service was both friendly and attentive. The wine selection was impressive, and our steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking, although they had cooled slightly by the time they reached the table. We sampled two specials; while the Cajun potato salad didn't quite hit the mark for me, I appreciated the restaurant's effort to experiment with different flavors and the manager's offer to bring us an alternative side. The soda bread appetizer was delightful, and we nearly finished an entire plate of fried mushrooms just between the two of us. We concluded our meal with a chocolate chip cookie skillet that genuinely tasted homemade, rather than something you might find at a chain restaurant. We are excited about our next visit to see what new specials they come up with!"

The Calvaryman has gotten more consistent this past year....great food, fast and friendly service and a fabulous martini to boot. Make reservations especially on weekends!

The restaurant offered a buffet menu, and the food was delicious with very generous portions. Since it was a buffet, we didn't interact much with the waitstaff, but they were attentive and polite when we did. I will definitely be going back! View menu

The onion soup was excellent. The food overall was good value for the price. Service could have been better. Waited at least 15 minutes just to get a bottle of wine from the bar to the table (and then it was not the bottle that was ordered).

Thanksgiving brunch was great. we were the only group in the main dining room when we arrived. all the food was fresh and ready. we tried everything. my favorite was the wagging. they had a thin cracky, sugary layer and were amazing! the service was top notch.

The menu offers affordable options for everyone. From drinks to appetizers, main courses, and desserts, everything was delicious. We enjoyed the filet and bison steak, both cooked to perfection. The service was very attentive. We made a reservation and were glad we did, as there was a large party present. View menu

The food took a long time to arrive and was served cold. I ordered the apple pie for dessert and had to wait while my family received their orders. When my dessert finally arrived, it was cold. I mentioned this to the waitress, and she informed me that it comes that way. However, the description stated that it was supposed to be warm, and she insisted that it was the caramel drizzle that was warm.

Over all the experience wasn't bad, not the best but not the worst. There were a few glitches, first someone ordered the bison meatballs over zucchini noodles and later was told they were out of the noodles, next she forgot the steak knife for the person ordering prime rib and kept saying she would bring one and we had to flag down another server to get the knife; last the salads were brought just a couple minutes before the entree's. In general the food was good and we enjoyed being together. The plus was the server was very energetic and friendly.
