Crisp-fried slices of tender beef testicles, seasoned and served with tangy dipping sauce for a hearty, bold Western treat.

"Amazing service with amazing views! Felt safe and was able to relax and enjoy time with family while overlooking Denver and the mountains. The menu for The Smokehouse and BBQ is very different than the typical Fort menu and the food is not quite the same level quality, but all of that could be overlooked because the service was absolutely spectacular and every precaution was taken to make sure ever guest and staff member were safe throughout our entire visit. Highly recommend for a way to get out while still being safe and being able to social distance."

"We went for the BBQ porch side picnic. Planned ahead and easily bought tickets online and pre-tipped. Very easy and recommended. The atmosphere was one of a family gathering. Children were laughing and playing in the yard and on the swing set. We were greeted immediately upon entering the establishment. From that moment on, the service continued to be great. The decor was that of a tasteful ranch with red checkered napkins. The buffet line was long, but moved quickly. I was pleasantly surprised at the options of potato salad, slaw, salad, baked beans, green beans, pulled pork and brisket! There was another serving dish which was empty and not refilled so not sure what it was. There was an abundance of good and they were continuously refilling the chaffing dishes. Everyone in our group was impressed with the quality and taste of the food. My husband thought the slaw was delicious and I favored the brisket. For dessert, there were brownies and cookies. Lemonade and ice tea were freely available and a bar was open for al a cart libations.A singer was on the porch strumming her guitar and singing gracefully. There were no children with our group, but it was obviously kid friendly.I would definitely go again!"

"I live in town and so desperately want to love this place, but my experiences always fall so short. I 've been eating here on and off since 2019. The menu has never changed, and the specials are always the same, just rotated. The food lacks character, creativity, and salt. One time my partner and I ordered burgers and requested a fried egg on the burger. We were told the kitchen staff could not add an egg to the burger as, the egg ladies are not here (It was around the afternoon on that day). The service is always friendly, and one time during the great plague of 2020 I got a great deal on a jack n coke to go because of the young and inexperienced wait staff. Unfortunately there are almost always flies present in the restaurant which makes me worried for a chronic source of breeding within the business. The decor is cute, but dated. Many seats, booths, and tables could use a switch out. The taxidermy needs a good dusting and maybe even switched out. And the walls/flooring/etc could use a new coat of paint. I 've never been in the kitchen, but it 's kind of open and I 've peeked in and it looks old, and messy. The bathrooms are also dated, but they 're at least always clean and stocked. I suspect the ownership of the restaurant is probably as old and outdated as the restaurant and menu are. Overall, 2-3/5 stars. The pod always meets my hunger needs, but it 's nothing to write home about."

"While riding my motorcycle from New York to Sturgis, I decided to take a detour to Nebraska for some brunch. I was warmly greeted and served by two young ladies who provided exceptional service and manners. I ordered the blackened catfish with the salad bar, while my friend chose the waffle and bacon. Both dishes arrived promptly and were delicious. The salad bar was impressive, reminding me of the excellent salad bars from the past. I'm grateful for such a great experience, and I want to give a big shoutout to the two young ladies working on Friday morning—you are truly wonderful!"

"We are very happy that we decided to give Anderson Reserve another chance. After our first visit, we were unsure if it was worth going back, but we're so glad we did! The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. There was just one small issue: I think the cook may have misjudged our steak orders. I requested my steak medium, but received it medium rare, while my friend ordered medium and got medium as well. We didn't mention it at the time since the steaks were too good to send back, but I'm confident they would have fixed it if we had said something. Overall, it was an amazing experience—from the beautiful drive and stunning location to the friendly staff and all the delicious options on the menu."

"Ordered the steak described as wagu flat-flank. I asked waitress if it was a flat-iron and she said it was. Although I ordered is rare, it was tough as a boot. No way a flat iron which is the second tenderest cut of beef. Loaded potatoe came with burned black spots on cheese. Lobster tail had no seasoning and was very small. Prices were very high. Had much better yet economical experience at fast food steak houses."

"it is in order to be a negligible. I feel that woodcellar on open table is a misinterpreted to be a finer experience than it is in real life. I was reserved for Valentine's Day and was disappointed. eating looks good on paper, but it was very personal. I started with kicked mushrooms that came out cold. they told us there was no flairon steak, which is a great failure for the holiday. I ordered land fried steak and my wife ordered chicken carbonara. my wife refused the pasta and exchanged with me. it had a suppen consistency that was not very appetizing and very little taste. our fried steak was edible, but very salty gravure, which was not restaurant quality, it stopped being victorious. both dishes fall short what I expected for the price. the sad is that we noticed shortly before leaving that several tables were served to the flat man steak. I wish I had received a statement for it. I'll say our waitress was kind. the bar was full of locals and everyone seemed to enjoy the music. but I will not come back more than a drink. when they advertise a valentine evening event, I expect them to put their best game on."

"I really want to share how challenging it has been for me, as a newcomer to the area, to find a breakfast spot in Lakewood that can cook eggs just right. Fortunately, I've discovered the perfect place! I visited on a recent Sunday morning and ordered my scrambled eggs well done. They were superb—no sogginess like I've experienced at other restaurants. I always say, "if they ain't wheezin', they ain't pleasin'." The drinks were also excellent, and the atmosphere was delightful. I'm glad I only live a few blocks away because I will definitely be returning! Dietary restrictions: The eggs were cooked perfectly."

"If your looking for a true southern BBQ experience Jimmy Bears is exactly that. Not only do they provide the prime example of delicious juicy savory southern style BBQ, they define southern hospitality to the fullest! Such friendly southern natives prove the dining to be such a great experience every time. The Burnt ends and alligator are incredible. Not a fan of the stand up but they don’t always do it. When I was there with my cousin visiting from Colorado it was a very chill and relaxed environment and meant for very pleasant dining. I very highly recommend this place!"

"The place is no longer Teps, it's under new ownership/management. The food menu has been drastically downsized, bar staff was super friendly and attentive but the waitress we interacted with was unhelpful, and downright rude. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. Restaurant decor was nice, seating is a bit cramped but it's a bar so no surprise there. Lots of entertainment machines, and prices were decent. I don't think we'll be going back, the combination of that waitress and the lack of menu options really killed it for me."

"Nestled on the parade grounds of a former fort and housed in a charming 1920s clubhouse of an old golf course, this restaurant exudes a wonderful historic charm, with numerous historical photos adorning the walls. The service was both friendly and attentive. The wine selection was impressive, and our steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking, although they had cooled slightly by the time they reached the table. We sampled two specials; while the Cajun potato salad didn't quite hit the mark for me, I appreciated the restaurant's effort to experiment with different flavors and the manager's offer to bring us an alternative side. The soda bread appetizer was delightful, and we nearly finished an entire plate of fried mushrooms just between the two of us. We concluded our meal with a chocolate chip cookie skillet that genuinely tasted homemade, rather than something you might find at a chain restaurant. We are excited about our next visit to see what new specials they come up with!"

"Our first visit to Rawhide and it won't be our last! The atmosphere was fun, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious! William, our server, was wonderful! The portions were huge, we left with plenty of leftovers. The steaks were cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The BBQ sampler was also good, great for a big appetite. The bacon wrapped meatloaf was another hit! I highly recommend the bacon Mac n cheese as a side. If you have kids, take them back by the kitchen to see how they cook, campfire style, they lower the grill plate down over the fire with a huge wheel. At the end of the meal, we got sheriffs badges with our names on them, a fun little souvenir. Definitely will visit again. Plus we came early to walk around the Old West town before our dinner time."

"We stopped at this restaurant on our way to Billings and were greeted by a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, the food was a bit disappointing. We both started with the cheesy broccoli soup, which lacked seasoning and tasted a bit bland. We then ordered the 8oz Bison Sirloin for $35 each, but were surprised to find that the steaks had no seasoning at all. The server had offered Cajun or Montreal seasoning, but we declined assuming the steak would come seasoned as is standard. We later found out that the Montreal seasoning was the basic salt and pepper seasoning. The Bison Sirloin did not have the distinct flavor of Bison and tasted more like a regular steak. The fries were the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, my fiance refused to eat his steak and I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to mine to try and improve the flavor. Although the restaurant has potential, there should be more clarity on how the steaks are prepared and seasoned. While I would consider giving this place another chance, I would advise asking about the seasoning in detail before ordering."

"I wish I could give the service a zero. The waitress had no personality and didn't write down my order, which resulted in it being incorrect. When I mentioned that I couldn't eat my meal due to its preparation, she simply said sorry and walked away. I ordered steak and eggs, but the only thing I could eat was the toast. The hashbrowns were a soggy, mashed-up mess; I've never seen hashbrowns served like that, especially when I specifically ordered them crispy. The steak, which was supposed to be rare, was not, and everything was covered in peppercorns, which was not mentioned on the menu. I don't like peppercorns, and I ended up using three napkins trying to remove them, but it was unsuccessful."

"My husband and I have been dining at Gashouse Restaurant for many years. It 's ambiance and decor is charming and quirky perfect for a mountain lodge . And, then there 's the food! It 's always been well prepared from our fave foods to the many new tastes we 've tried over the years we 've not been disappointed. Staff is professional, energetic, knowledgeable and on top of their job. This year was no different. Some new faces, but same skill and menu knowledge as always. We recommend this great local restaurant!"
