"Wow! Everything was incredibly delicious. My wife and I not only left with full stomachs and smiles on our faces, thanks to the friendliest service, but we also took home a lot of leftovers. We kicked things off with naan chips and tamarind chutney, which were fantastic. Then, we enjoyed the best lunch special we’ve ever had: the Thali platter. It included veg pakora with tamarind, chicken tikka masala, chana masala, saag paneer, basmati rice with papadam, gulab jamun with yogurt, and butter naan—10 items in total! You can't beat that for such an amazing price. We also had the freshest mango lassi I've ever tasted. We can't wait to go back ASAP. Thank you, Krishna, for being such a great server!"

"The food is decent enough but the customer service leaves much to be desired. I have ordered delivery here on two previous occasions and the driver was discourteous both times. Most recently I placed an order through Seamless and received a call from the restaurant stating my driver would not deliver my order because I did not leave a tip. I intended to tip in cash, and have tipped every time I ordered from this establishment. That said, I have never had an experience like this where I am being demanded a tip. I paid for my food and delivery service, period. That was wildly unprofessional and I promptly canceled my order and wont be ordering here again."

"Now, regarding that mystery ingredient: I understand that Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice is a fusion of Indian and Sichuan cuisines, and I've enjoyed this dish countless times in the past. However, I had never encountered cumin—especially in such generous amounts—in Schezwan fried rice before. It was evident that the chef opted to use Jeera Rice (cumin rice) as the base for this dish instead of the traditional white rice. I'm not sure if this decision stemmed from laziness or a lack of white rice, but it was disappointing nonetheless. I ended up taking the dish home, where I prepared my own version. I sliced a chicken breast, added red pepper and Sichuan spices, and stir-fried it with some onions. Since I couldn't pick out the cumin from the rice, I had to work with what I had. "Restaurant service was not very good. The waiter was unfamiliar with the menu and we had to keep asking for different things, please bring more water, can we get chutney with the samosas, can we have ice in our drink. Also the waiter changed a couple times like they were trying to help each other out. The food was very saucy which was good (and typical of southern indian cuisine) but it lacked creamy texture and seemed to have a vibrant red, artificial look to it. The vegetable jalfrezi was delicious but the menu didn't list that cheese was also a component and that was a pleasant surprise. The samosa chaat was delicious. The presentation of the food was uneventful. In summary, there are better indian options that encompass delicious, well prepared, well presented food with much much better service."

"Had one of my events here. I am giving 3 stars because I was forced to buy 150 plates because the manager said there is no way he will book the venue for 100 guests only. At the end 80 people (including kids) were at this event. Our food tasted much better on the day we tasted the menu. Also didn’t follow my instructions on appetizers but it was overall not bad on the food. The staff that served at my event was good and kind. The stage was decorated well enough I think (still not sure if that worth a $1000). My husband and I talked about leaving a nice tip for the staff at all our events and we were not able to do that at this venue bc we paid so much extra on the plates for guests I didn’t have!! And we paid tips on those extra plates no body ate!! Pictures I uploaded are from the tasting not the event."

"Wow. Now this is absolutely the best Indian food I've ever had. I went with my friend and let me tell you we were starving. As soon as we went into the place you could just smell all of the goodness. We were greeted at the door by a very lovely woman and she recommended the butter chicken. My friend Dan had one of those rice bowls. Excellent customer service and it was a very nice ambience. Now let's get to the food that butter chicken was some succulent flavorful and it wasn't too creamy. The blend was just right sometimes when they use all of those creams and yogurts and all that it can change the flavor too much but this was the perfect for me. I don't know how they made this dish, but they had the right combinations for the delicious creations. I look forward to going back. Oh, before I forget, the Garlic Nann was really phenomenal. We have the spicy one I wish I'd had two orders! I can eat that all day with the sauce."

"Menu was extensive with virtually every typical Indian dish. Service was quick and thorough. The white linen tablecloths were a very nice touch. "This is the best food I have ever had! Everything they prepare at this restaurant is absolutely incredible. "We have visited this restaurant multiple times and recently brought a group of out-of-town guests. The food is truly delicious with a wide range of options available. The service did slow down a bit later in the evening when it got busier and noisier. However, if you come earlier or on a quieter evening, it's a delightful experience. "I was looking for Google reviews a few days ago. I enjoyed this place very much. from the moment I came in, I was very impressed by the beautiful ambiente (very rare to see in an Indian restaurant, friendly waiting staff and the appealing classical music that played in the background. I ordered saag (spinch curry, malai paneer (growing cheese, tandoori roti (brot and salat.) the eating was mouthwater and the amount was also good. "This may be my new favorite spot in the district. I've been a little frustrated with how much I've had to pay to get good food in the city so it was a breath of fresh air to discover Moh Moh Licious. Not to mention the food is INCREDIBLE! I'd never had momos before, though they came highly recommended. I had the okra masala for my lunch and it was fantastic. Everyone at the table agreed that it was their favorite among our dishes. Plus it's vegetarian maybe vegan? ! The momos themselves were fire and I've been dreaming about them ever since. This is a true hidden gem in DC and I cannot recommend it enough. "We all agreed that the restaurant had some delightful authentic touches. Between us, we sampled the hummus, my wife's Mediterranean salad, their Greek salad, and tabbouleh (x2). Overall, everything was excellent, although the tabbouleh was a bit soggy. The quality was very good, with generous portions at an excellent price. The place was clean and bright, and the staff was friendly and attentive. For our picnic dinner later, we bought cheese-filled pastries, kibbeh, and chicken, and I expect those to be great as well. I'll update this review if they're not. The chicken borek was pretty good, and the cheesecake was excellent. The kibbeh had a nice filling, although the outer coating was different from what I expected. I’ve always known kibbeh to be made with a dough of ground beef mixed with bulgur, but this seemed to have a flour-based dough instead. It wasn't as crispy as I'm used to. The leftover falafel from lunch was still good when warmed up, just like the kefta."

"This is my new favorite restaurant in Southampton. The ambiance is so relaxing, beautiful artwork and dimly lit. The service was superb and owner/manager also had fantastic wine knowledge (and wine list! , to help my date pick her glass. The food was out of this world. "We're here for lunch one day. I didn't have much experience with Indian food, but her express lunch menu made it so easy. The food was excellent! So much taste and cooked for perfection. All for $9 lunch!! We decided to go back to dinner last night (it was that we couldn't wait to return) and had a fantastic meal again. The menu clearly explains the differences in food and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I could go on eating. So many flavors and simply excellent. My 15 years old said this was classified as their favorite food. Make yourself a taste... I mean favors (sorry couldn't help the doll) and check out Shalimar. You'll be so glad you did it!"
