"This review is about the service and customer treatment only since we didn't get to the point of ordering food before we left. We had heard great things about Villagio's pizza and decided to go try it. We arrived around 3:30pm on a Saturday and were seated outside in their inner courtyard. After looking over the menu there were no listings for pizza. The waiter came over around 3:45 to inform us of the daily specials and bring water. I asked him where the pizza menu was and he stated that they stop serving pizza at 4pm. I showed him my watch and stated it was 3:50. He then quickly changed his response saying well we actually stop serving pizza at 3pm and if I wanted to order pizza I could go next door and order it to go but I couldn't stay and eat it in the courtyard. I looked over the menu and checked their website and nowhere do they state that pizza is not served after 3 or 4pm on the weekend. Annoyed I asked to see the manager and asked him about ordering pizza and he stated they don't serve after 4pm. To his response I stated We arrived before 4pm an the waiter refused to serve us and changed the time to 3pm. The manager started to tap dance and stated that we were more than welcome to order to go and eat it outside the restaurant at the tables located along the street. The manager didn't care or address the fact that we did arrive and tried to order before 4pm. They may have the best tasting pizza in the world but I will never go back there to try any of their food. I found the whole experience to be very rude, especially after driving 30 minutes to get there. Don't say you stop serving at 4 and then when it's pointed out that it's still 3:50 change your response an say its actually 3:00. Trattoria Villagio is not that high class of an establishment. If you stop serving at a certain time state it on your web site and your menus. Overall the customer service was horrible and I will never go back or recommend Trattoria Villagio to anyone else. "

"By that time, the baby was hungry, and unfortunately, there were no children’s options or smaller portion sizes on the menu. My son-in-law had to run across the street to buy yogurt for the baby while we waited for service. There was no water, no bread, no menus—nothing. We had to get the manager's attention to finally receive some service. The single bottle of water we received was never refilled, the bread basket was sparse and also went unrefilled, and we were given just six olives with our dipping oil. As for the food, it was rather unimpressive. The mushroom risotto looked dull, the rigatoni was nothing special, and my son-in-law's dish—something flat, brown, and breaded—didn't look appealing either. My fettuccine with mussels was a real letdown. The menu claimed it featured "jumbo lump crab meat," but there wasn't a single piece in my dish. Many mussel shells were empty, and those that were there were tiny and overcooked. The dish consisted mostly of plain noodles, some cherry tomatoes, and large chunks of garlic. On top of that, the portion was small. I brought the missing crabmeat to the waiter's attention, but he condescendingly insisted it was "mixed in." I pointed out that if it were truly included, it should be easily visible, not hidden away in the pasta. By the time he returned, we were almost done eating, and I declined his offer for a replacement. After our meal, it felt like we were being rushed to clear our table, and no one even asked us about dessert. We definitely won't be returning and wish we had chosen one of the many other nice restaurants we passed on the way. Additionally, be careful about pricing; the costs at the restaurant do not match what’s listed on the website. My $17 entree was charged at $21 on the receipt, and we only realized this after returning home."

"Jonathan our waiter is a good person and did his best. However the rest of the experience was not good. Doesn’t seem like this place will be around much longer. Bartender playing YouTube videos loudly for twenty minutes. The manager, hostess and staff just stood around and leaned on the hostess stand most of the time. Only three tables were being used but all tables were over set like they were fully booked. Table linens were extremely wrinkled and messy. The food was brought out by the manager and staff but they had no clue how to place the food on the table. The food wasn’t good. I never care about the cost of food. But $40 for a scallop entree with three scallops and five tiny pieces of broccoli is silly. Not to mention the scallops were poorly cooked. Truffle fries were soggy. The broccolini was under cooked and overseasoned. Put it in a to go box to cook it correctly at home and eat it. Manager never came by to see how we were doing or find out why we sent the fries, scallops and broccolini back. Didn’t want anything for free, just couldn’t eat the gross food. Don’t book a resy here or waste your time. Plenty of better options to go grab a good steak or sushi in the city. Lastly one of the three tables had a lady on her own and she lost her wallet. For 45 mins Jonathan tried to help her, the manager never went by to help with options. He actually disappeared when he heard the issue. After her just sitting there trying to find a friend to come pay I got up and paid the lady’s tab so Jonathan didn’t get stiffed. The manager still didn’t care. Hoping the owner sees this and makes a leadership change. You could have a great restaurant if someone cared about the details and quality of service."
