"Everything was delicious! But, my goodness the attention the staff paid was just the best. We had a reservation and ended up having to wait 15-20 minutes for our table, and they comped us a round of drinks for the inconvenience. Thank you for taking care of us! "Neither of us had been to Rothmans steakhouse in a while so we decided to give it a try again. The valet parking was convenient first pulling up. We had reservations and we were a few minutes late but we were seated immediately. The place was packed. The seats and tables are very close to each other and it was very loud. Eventually you adjust to the noise but it makes it a bit hard to hear. We ordered the burrata mozzarella appetizer which was very good. I ordered the filet mignon cooked Pittsburgh (black and blue) but it came cooked medium well instead. I had to send it back as I can 't eat meat overcooked. My friend ordered the bone in rib eye medium but came medium rare. The flavor was good. We also ordered 2 sides which were creamed spinach and mashed sweet potatos with pecans, both of which were good. The manager was very friendly and came by to check on us quite a few times, and when he realized the issues we had with our steaks being cooked incorrectly he was kind enough to comp our desserts! We had the creme brulee which is a classic and was good. We also had the apple tart with vanilla ice cream which was good also. After our dinner we had a drink at the bar which is very pretty and the bartenders were very nice. All in all it was a nice night"

"This was my second experience at Loulay and I was underwhelmed again. My main dish was under seasoned, although the French Onion soup was perfect. The service was awful. Our server was completely disinterested and we ordered multiple courses which were not timed well at all, so we had some food coming out before others and secondary courses coming out for some that were not done with first. Very disappointed in what should be a quality experience."

"The food tastes pretty good, but is frankly WAY overpriced, even considering it’s in a casino. This is the first BBQ place I have ever been to that doesn’t offer a combo plate type meal. Everything is ala carte, but not really big enough to share, unless you only want 2 bites of each thing. The seats are flat wood, with no cushion. Quite uncomfortable after 15 minutes. The bread pudding dessert was terrible. Honestly the worst bread pudding I’ve ever tasted. I ordered a mocktail of a Mule, but honestly it just tasted like pink lemonade. Considering the base was ginger beer and cranberry, I really wondered if I got the wrong beverage served to me. Considering the draw is this is an Iron Chef restaurant, I was VERY disappointed, and won’t be back."

"We came to Peninsula Grill for my wife and her Mom’s birthday. (both on the same day) The hostess was sweet and greeted us and asked “whose birthday it was?” And was so excited when we told her we had two birthdays! She typed it into the computer, and we were seated, and received drinks. We then waited around 40 minutes for bread. We were surprised to see multiple couples and groups who arrived after us receiving their entrees, and ended up waiting around an hour and 30 minutes for ours. We were not checked on by our waiter, and received dinner without an opportunity to order additional drinks AND we had waters empty. At this point, we were a little frustrated. The food was great, but our service was next to nothing and our waiter was surprised when we didn’t want to order any dessert, having been sitting there for near on 2 hours at this point. The phrase that we kept feeling was that we were not prioritized, even with two birthdays seated at the table. We were surprised at the low level of service we received as we’ve heard great things, but unfortunately we will not be recommending or coming back to Peninsula Grill ever again."

"We celebrated my friends birthday here last night and overall, it was a pleasant experience. My friend tried the Wagyu ribeye and she thought it was too salty for her taste. The service was great, but the food took a little long to come out. The booths were a little uncomfortable because we sunk in a bit so the table felt a little high. Overall, I would come again just I would ask for a table next time."

"Last night's celebration Birthday was awesome at Zoe's. We arrived to a warm and enthusiastic hello's that felt inviting. Our table was waiting with a hand written Birthday card signed by the entire staff. Our server extraordinaire Andrew B. Offered great suggestions and his check back timing and service was perfect . He took the note on our conversation to double back to check certain ingredients without prompt. Now onto the food. Having worked in NYC for 23 years in my former life, I've dined at the best and Zoe's is exceptional. Our starters, Lobster cheesecake, Lobster pop sausage and fois gras amazing. The wagu beef meatloaf was moist, perfectly seared scallops with a hint of caviar risotto and melt in your mouth steak..amazing. The candied apple creme brulle we shared did not disappoint and the OMG Carrot cake is worth every review. Olive oil moisture to the soaked rum rasins to the slivered almonds. I am a die hard walnut in carrot cake girl and this cake has a new convert. This location will be in my rotation. Book an experience for yourself."

"We had exemplary service from Kate while dining with our 3 adult kids. The appetizer ravioli is NOT to be missed. A runny yolk inside the pasta with a browned butter sauce! The Lemon aglenotti was a family favorite. We also share d the Tbone with potatoes (more seasoning please) and rapini. Excellent. One enjoyed the lamb chop and another the arabiatta. Kate surprised me with a 60th birthday dessert tray with several bite sized delicacies as well as a tiramisu which was extraordinary. Kate truly should be running that hotel! In fact, when we hadn’t been treated at the lobby restaurant a day later, she spied us, got us iced waters and figured out who our server would be. The consummate professional!"

"Ate here w our kids and had a nice meal. Kids had a buffet designed for them which worked out great and. Ore higher end restaurants should heed this call. $15 each but included lots of choices which kids love as well as deserts and a drink. I had the swordfish which was a bit overdone and a bit tasteless. My wife had the filet which was served over a tomatoe based medley of zucchini and squash which really didn't go with it very well. Read reviews and told side of Russell sprouts was roasted but they arrived steamed and again tasteless. All in the best part of the meal was our excellent waiter. Ate at pacific grille the night before and that meal was a lot tastier."

"The vibe is very much like a night club with low lighting and music playing as you enter. The greeter has a hard time finding our open table reservation but once that was figured out things went very well. The food was very good overall and the menu had good variety. The chicken and port dumplings were excellent as was the stroganoff. I’d recommend the horseradish infused vodka. A bit pricey but it was very tasty."

"This was our first time eating Firestone 's. We chose to go there because our two go-to restaurants were closed after the holidays. I ordered their French onion soup. My wife ordered the cheeseburger. The food came fairly quickly. The soup looked good and the portion was what I expected for a lunch soup. I 8Unfortunately that is where the good ends. I took only one bite of it because it was so extremely SWEET. I have had many bowls of French onion soup but never have I had a bowl that was sweet. My wife tasted it too and was shocked by how sweet it was. Her burger was large and quite rare inside. She prefers rare, generally, but this was almost too rare for her. She had asked for medium rare. This was almost cool in the middle. She had French fries, which were dark and quite mushy. I don 't mind that she does so I had her French fries for lunch. The waiter didn 't come back to check on us until my wife had eaten most of her burger but not the middle rarest bit . It was at least 15 minutes. He asked how our food was and I told him that I did not care for the soup, explaining that I found it to be extremely sweet. He said that of course it was was sweet, it was made with Vidalia onions and brown sugar ?! . He did not apologize or say anything like I 'm sorry you didn 't care for it, . They did remove its from our bill, at least. With regard to the ambiance of the place: it was quite loud, but we expected that, at least."

"Halls Chophouse offered not only exceptional food but also an extraordinary dining experience. First and foremost, reservations are definitely necessary! I booked a month in advance and my only time slots were 4:00 PM or 10:00 PM. When we arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming and even inquired if we were celebrating something special—indeed, we were, as it was our anniversary before my fiancé proposed. After we were seated, we were treated to complimentary glasses of champagne and presented with an impressive array of meats, showcasing their quality and specials for the night. It was nothing short of spectacular! After a long day, this was the perfect place to unwind, and the portion sizes were just right. To top off our night, the owner stopped by our table for a delightful conversation, brought us more free champagne, and generously treated us to dessert. He was incredibly kind, and it's clear his employees hold him in high regard, just as we do. We couldn't have asked for a better dinner or service! Everything was truly remarkable, and we can't wait to return soon!"

"This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were pleased with the food and service. I wasn't a fan of the dinnerware because I prefer plates with a smooth surface. The noise from the silverware hitting the plates was a bit distracting. Despite this, I would definitely return. The noise level was a tad high but that's not the fault of the restaurant. "The food here is a level up of anywhere I?ve been in the area. The French onion soup is like Paris?it?s amazing and I will get it every time. The server told me they could hang their hat on duck cassoulet and he was not wrong. It?s just the right amount of food and it?s rich and comforting. "Another successful dinner night with friends that were visiting from out of town. We were accommodated with seating and arrival time and this speaks volume given that it was a Saturday night and it was busy. Our waiter Benjamin was attentive, patient and kind. We had questions about certain food and he made sure to confirm with the chef/kitchen staff when needed. He did not seem bothered at all and we had a several questions. We ordered the Salmon(Farmed Atlantic) which was good and swapped the rice for their mashed potatoes (very filling), the Beef Ribs were juicy, Maki-State of Zen, Vargas VIP platter for 4 which comes with a good portion of: fried calamaris, gyoza (no porc), grilled vegetables, 4 shrimps and beef skewers. Whenever you are in Montreal and want to be assured of a having a good night out, head on over to Vargas. Your tummy and company will be happy that you did."

"Isaac really took this evening above par. Our server was excellent in every way, but the catered bar service was phenomenal. Personally I've never ad caviar, but what a pairing with the scallops! My husband makes risotto frequently, yet the servings from Halls still feels elegant and special. Honestly the only denote on the evening is parking. I'm not asking for valet (but let's face facts, this is the type of place one could expect it) but it'd be nice to not need to walk a few blocks before being seated. In any case, from live music, to fabulous atmosphere, the night is one I will never forget. The experience went from a simple celebration of being relocated for 1 year, to a night of pure bliss. Every detail felt catered, and there are Michelin (speaking of, where's yalls star? Bc you've earned it in my book) star restaurants that didn't match this night. Thank you! Parking: There are several lots and garages within a few blocks, and of street parking as well. It's a downtown location, parking is annoying at best. Really research what else is going on in downtown for your reservation night, Halls sits quite close to the peace center, which can fill those garages and lots pretty quickly. Also, spot angles (parking app) is a neat tool to help on this topic. Updates when the garages are full and occasionally can point out a free space or 2."
