"This was our first time eating Firestone 's. We chose to go there because our two go-to restaurants were closed after the holidays. I ordered their French onion soup. My wife ordered the cheeseburger. The food came fairly quickly. The soup looked good and the portion was what I expected for a lunch soup. I 8Unfortunately that is where the good ends. I took only one bite of it because it was so extremely SWEET. I have had many bowls of French onion soup but never have I had a bowl that was sweet. My wife tasted it too and was shocked by how sweet it was. Her burger was large and quite rare inside. She prefers rare, generally, but this was almost too rare for her. She had asked for medium rare. This was almost cool in the middle. She had French fries, which were dark and quite mushy. I don 't mind that she does so I had her French fries for lunch. The waiter didn 't come back to check on us until my wife had eaten most of her burger but not the middle rarest bit . It was at least 15 minutes. He asked how our food was and I told him that I did not care for the soup, explaining that I found it to be extremely sweet. He said that of course it was was sweet, it was made with Vidalia onions and brown sugar ?! . He did not apologize or say anything like I 'm sorry you didn 't care for it, . They did remove its from our bill, at least. With regard to the ambiance of the place: it was quite loud, but we expected that, at least."

As usual everything was on point, from the initial greeting, to the service, and the food. We had the crab dip which never disappoints. We shared a shrimp po boy which was good.

we are pescan and fortunately had some great dishes to choose from. they were delicious! one of our best dinners in frederick. the restaurant was a bit loud, no intimate feeling, but otherwise we felt that the service was very attentive. View menu

First time at Firestones for dinner, have had lunch numerous times. Always delicious. Friendly helpful staff. Party of 4 all our food was very good. My only comment would be two in our party had the rockfish and one dish had a very large portion of fish and mine was more like a child size portion. I think the waitress was even embarrassed a bit. Noise level was uncomfortable at times with the bar directly below the tables upstairs but I understand the risk. All in all great food, atmosphere and service.

booked reservation for the birthday of woman 2 months in advance. she wanted top window table that was requested in the reservation and then arrived 1 hour before the reservation to repeat the above window table. unfortunately ignored the management both inquiries and we sat back. we were so angry, but we made the best of it. our eating was good, but a bearded beacon and baked carrot, which was requested by our gast was not available. the dinner for 5 people was $290 inclusive tipp. we thought this was excessive for the amount of food. the $18 crumb dive was normal, as you would find somewhere else with little if any real crumb meat.
