"We have been going to this restaurant for years and is the go to for our Mexican cuisine fix. There are several Mexican restaurants in the area so the theme is quite saturated, but we always chose Mexico Restaurant over the others. First, it isalways clean and well organized and the prices are very fair for the food provided. We have always experienced exceptionalcustomer service from everyone including managers, servers, and host. They may not be as upbeat as the competitors or over thetop, but we have been here hundreds of times and never have we complained about the service. The food is good and they do agreat job updating the menu and offering new items. It is not authentic cuisine, but does enough to provide a great meal. Wehave a family member with severe gluten allergies, and this is the only Mexican restaurant she feels comfortable at, and theyprovide her plenty of options. The bar drinks are definitely short of spectacular, but for those looking for a family friendlyvibe, Mexico does not really promote alcohol and their bar is always empty. Those looking for a bar scene will be disappointed. The patio is amazing, however inside is comfortable but a bit dull and not as loud and flamboyant as some of the otherrestaurants. In the end, in a heavily saturated theme, we continue to come here over the others because of the consistency andabove average marks in all areas. It is not fantastic at anything, but we have never left disappointed."

"Wow! Living in the Midwest I don 't get seafood this fresh and Shells doesn 't disappoint! Our server Bailey, is friendly and personable. She showed true interest in us and helped us navigate the menu to pick the best dishes for us. I asked what she would order and she recommended: Fresh Mahi Mahi Felix topped with jumbo lump crabmeat and roasted red peppers in a lobster cream sauce. Served with seasoned rice over vegetable medley. (Pictured) I was not disappointed, I am still so full an hour after eating while writing this. Thank you Bailey, perfect choice! I think this should be called The Bailey Special My wife got the Baby Lobster Pasta, Succulent baby lobster tails tossed with linguine in lobster cream sauce. She was blown away and the sauce could be a soup! Our son ubered us so we could enjoy the bar, we started off with a Mojito (wife) (which the bartender didn 't know how to make but got it pretty close) I got the house margarita with a sugar rim, very good. We then switched gears to an Island Breeze (AMAZING! Light and refreshing like the name suggests and my drink the Rum Punch was true to its name too as it felt like I got punched in the face rum, not a bad thing! Atmosphere is light and approximately themed, everything looked and smelled clean. We don 't live here, but if we return we will be back! If you read this far please go visit, I 'm sure your experience will be as great as ours. Thank you to everyone at Shells who made our evening wonderful."

"I would start with the old saying. “Never judge a book by its cover”. We were visiting the New Church VA area and wanted to try out restaurants in Salisbury. After some research, we decided to check out Cactus Taverna. When we arrived, I wasn’t sure about the correct address as it seemed to be a mall which indeed it was... a strip mall at that. Needless to say I was starting to get ‘the look’ from the better half. I sensed it as there was just silence. I dear not look into her direction. Anyway we proceeded to the door and was pleasantly, and Yes thankfully surprised by the inside. From the minute you walked in, the lovely hostess with a dashing smile got us to our table and welcomed us as timers. She told us Dan was going to attend to us and we couldn’t be happier with his service. He was so cool, introduced us to the lovely menu and engaged us in spirited conversations. We started with frog legs and calamari which the now happy spouse enjoyed. We also listened some lovely jazz music played by two gentlemen that gave wonderful renditions of some timely classics. Both appetizers were quite good, but the best was yet to come. The Better half had the rack of lamb which she is still raving about. I went with the duck which was scintillating. The Mexican/Mediterranean theme worked brilliantly at this restaurant. The manager dropped by a couple times to check on us and he was brilliant. Had a vivacious personality which seemed to be the common theme at Cactus Taverna. We both lamented having to drive back after our dessert which was finished off with complimentary port which was a lovely touch. We just wanted to chill, as we were so happily satisfied by the presentation, food and service. We tend to eat out from time to time in and around DC/MD and we can safely say that CT can toss up comfortably with some of the more well established restaurants in the region. Excellent food service and we will be back!!"
