"The most tasteless food I’ve ever eaten! We ordered 2 oxtail plates with Mac and cheese and cabbage. They didn’t have any rice and peas so they gave us white rice. We ordered collard greens but they told us after waiting over 45 minutes that they didn’t have any so they wanted us to pay an extra $3 for Mac and cheese. The oxtail weren’t tender and they tasted like they were cooked in water. The Mac and cheese was like eating textured air (absolutely no taste, not even a pinch of salt), and the cabbage was plain but had more natural flavor than anything on the whole entire plate. They didn’t have air conditioner in the restaurant so it was hot but they did have a fan. We spent over $75. Such a disappointment. Luckily I made oxtail a few days earlier so we took our plates home and used the gravy from mine to give it some flavor but you could tell which oxtail were cooked by me and which weren’t because even with me adding my flavored oxtail and gravy to theirs, once the gravy was gone it was like eating boiled meat with no flavor. The only reason why We went there was because of the reviews. They must have been made by friends and family because they couldn’t be real. We could’ve gone to a really nice restaurant and had a luxury dinner with drinks and flavor for what we paid. I’m not writing this review to bash this business, I’m writing this review so they can tighten up and do better by their customers. Please taste your food before you send it out from now on."

"I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering from a Jamaican restaurant that I had high hopes for, but my order proved to be nothing short of a culinary disaster. From the moment I placed my order, the red flags were waving. First off, the customer service was excruciatingly poor when I called to inquire on the soup which I really needed). When I attempted to ask about the soup options, I was told curtly that it wasn’t available on the UberEats menu. This was frustrating as I had seen it listed in their offerings prior to ordering. It felt like I was talking to a wall; no effort was made to accommodate my request or explain why it wasn’t available. Instead, I was met with indifference. Alas, the issues didn’t stop there. I specifically stated NO gravy when placing my order. It’s a simple enough request, especially considering how many people dislike their food drenched in sauce. Yet, when my order arrived, it was swimming in a pool of gravy that completely overpowered the flavors of the dish. It was a shockingly blatant oversight that left me bewildered and disappointed. To make matters worse, I discovered that I didn’t even receive all of my order. After eagerly waiting to dig into my meal, I found myself shortchanged. It was as if the restaurant had decided to play a cruel game of “guess what you didn’t get.” Missing items no drink, no rice for my overpriced brown stew snapper) can happen, of course, but the lack of attention to detail and care for the customer was palpable. In summary, my experience with this Jamaican restaurant was nothing short of a nightmare. Poor customer service, inability to accommodate special requests, and incomplete orders resulted in a truly frustrating encounter. I left with no desire to return, feeling cheated out of both my money and my time. If you’re looking for an enjoyable dining experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This establishment surely has a long way to go in order to improve. From a, #Bewildered&Disappointed"

"Don’t waste your money here—better off going to Sybil’s on Liberty, or even better, Trincity on Lefferts and 111th Ave. Once you try Trincity, you won’t want to come back here. I’ll be sharing pictures as well. The only thing I might consider returning for is the pastries and bakery items, and even then, only if I were desperate. It’s not about the price, it’s about the quality of the food. I ordered a curry chicken roti—the curry tasted burnt, like the bottom of the pot was scorched and they didn’t bother to fix it. The entire dish left a bad aftertaste. The roti was tough and stiff. The curry shrimp roti was okay in flavor, but they loaded it with potatoes and barely any shrimp, and the shrimp they did use were tiny; photos will show. The dhal puri was also stiff and lacked enough peas—it might as well have been plain bread. The black and white pudding was dry, especially at the edges, which was off-putting. They served it with watered-down tamarind sauce, which didn’t help at all—terrible combination. The cook-up rice was supposed to be vegetarian, but there was one piece of chicken broken up in my order. The pastries need better filling and less crust. The cassava pone was small for the price; Sybil’s on Liberty offers a larger portion for the same cost. I can’t believe I spent money on all this food for my family, and they didn’t even want to eat it. It was a complete waste of money and time, especially dealing with parking there."
