"My only complaint is about one specific woman who is quite rude and slow. You really have to keep an eye on her while she prepares your order, or there's a good chance something will go wrong. She works during the early morning shift and is the slimmer, dark-skinned lady who always seems a bit down. On the other hand, there's another woman who is wonderfully efficient and a pleasure to interact with. If only everyone had her level of customer service! I hope someone takes notice of these comments, as it would greatly benefit them. For instance, today, she told my partner to open his mouth because she couldn’t hear him. How rude is that? She needs to be trained better or possibly let go!"

I’ve been ordering from here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing!

One of the top places to eat in Brooklyn! Their baked goods, spinach rice, and roti are all excellent.

The roti resembled strange flatbread, and the oxtail was lacking in flavor. Overall, it was not a good experience. View menu

The server watched me as she served me 4 cucumber slice sized pieces of oxtail. This along with the rice was no wear near worth $15.This will be my last time spending money here.

Dining here is fantastic! The comfort food is delightful. However, the real highlight is the freshly baked bread, which you can get sliced or unsliced. The bread pairs perfectly with coffee in the morning.

Not satisfied At All.I stopped by last night for a cup cake they had a so called Big cup cake darn thing was way to dense or stale. Either way it was the worst cupcake I've ever had. Maybe this wasn't a specialty of theirs. I won't go back to find out. View menu

I was not satisfied at all. Last night, I had high hopes for a tasty cake, but the "big cupcake" I ordered was dense and stale. It was honestly the worst cupcake I've ever had. Perhaps this isn't one of their specialties. I won't be returning to find out.

I used to go to this place weekly for their beef stew and it was always delicious and filling. They also have a bunch of homemade breads and other food items like rice and peas that are excellent. They also do late night (like past midnight even) jerk chicken which is both clutch and so good.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
