"The hostesses we're great! I even met a former employee in the Ladies Room, and SHE was great. Our server on the pizza side, however, left a lot to be desired. She started off good, but after she brought the appetizers, with no plates and napkins, I knew there were going to be issues. We were fortunate enough to flag her down and asked for the plates, and napkins. Later on, after bringing our actual food (it was 45 minutes for my friend's deep dish pizza, and this was fine . . . let me continue . . . she eventually stopped by to see if there was anything else we needed. Honestly, we were nearly done, then she realized she hadn't brought our drinks. Perhaps it was her memory of serving drinks to the table across the room, or her memory of our order . . . Or maybe she looked at the table, and thought it looked strangely without cups that influenced her to quickly leave and return with our drinks MORE THAN an hour after having ordered them . . . Or maybe it was the look on our faces when she asked, in good form, if there was anything else we needed? You may be wondering why we didn't ask for the drinks sooner? It wasn't for lack of trying. Our server wasn't around, and when she or the gentleman server we're on the floor, they couldn't see or hear us. Oh, except for when he tried to give us someone else's order, and the proper owners scoffed loud enough that he made a beeline for their table. It was very fast. Now, the food was fabulous! There was lasagna, that deep dish pizza, Italian Wedding Soup, bread and another tasty appetizer. Despite the absentminded service we received that day, I WILL BE GOING BACK! I also recommend you give it a try. If you get our server, be prepared. You may have to get up out of your seat and go over to the kitchen yourself a few times, to ensure timely receipt of your order."

"To say that the service was terrible is an understatement. Went there around 1 hour before their closing time, wanting to dine in. Nobody met me at the door and I was looking for anyone to talk to. After I was finally approached by one of the staff while standing by the front desk I immediately made it known that was my first time at their place and asked for any recommendations. After picking a dish I liked while still standing by the front desk and not even being offered to sit I payed around 34 which I found too much but still added a tip. I was told to wait for 15 minutes which I did. At the end they brought my food packed in a bag to take out. I was confused and told them that I didn’t ask for a take out and wanted to dine in, to what they got aggressively disrespectful telling me that their dining in is closed. I was trying to explain that I mentioned the fact that I am a first timer and didn’t know anything about their work regulations to what I was told in an extremely disrespectful manner that I should have known that “anywhere in America” when you order food by the counter that means you take it out. I didn’t have anything else to say but that they are extremely rude and this is not the way they should treat their customers. They gave me the worst experience. Definitely not going there again and warning anyone I know against it. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"I'm way overdue for a review for Ogawa's, and quite frankly another trip. I say without a doubt that this is one of Ontario's best restaurants. Everyone is always great whether you get a burger, rice bowl, or sushi, you really can't go wrong here. High quality food, reasonable prices and great service. I've been here too many times to leave commentary on every single dish I've enjoyed. So to highlight a few: My favorite sushi roll by far is the Philly Roll (salmon with avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, $7.75). It's simple and always hits the spot. The fish is always fresh, and all the ingredients mix in so well together! Heaven in my mouth. For non fish fans like my husband I recommend the Tyler Roll (teriyaki beef, cream cheese, green onion, spicy sauce, $7.25). You get to pretend your eating sushi without actually eating raw fish. Whatever that spicy sauce is, it's so damn good. My stomach is growling just thinking about and I'm 50 freaking miles away. Don't like sushi? No prob, they've got delicious rice bowls. The BEST is the Teriyaki Beef Bowl (teriyaki beef, steamed vegetables, white rice, covered in Tomio sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds, $10.50). It really reminds me of the other great teriyaki joints in Boise, again I'm not sure what's in that sauce exactly but it's hella freaking amazing. I could go on but I'm not about to bore anyone and who knows who tf actually reads these so I'll leave it at this: if you're looking for funky good food in this lil ol' passerby town don't look anywhere else because it doesn't get any better than Ogawa's!!"

"This review is an update from one I wrote two months ago. We were generously invited back by the restaurant owners for a complimentary meal to make up for our previous experience. My husband and I truly appreciate that Chicago Waffles West Loop wanted to rectify the mistake from our first visit. This time, our experience was wonderful, and I have nothing but positive remarks. The owners reached out to us via email, sincerely apologizing for our earlier visit and inviting us back for a redo. We visited on a Sunday afternoon with a reservation for 1 PM, and upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner. We were seated at a lovely table in a cozy corner. I ordered the Cheddar Waffles with Beef Brisket and a Mimosa, while my husband chose the Country Fried Chicken with a Berry Mojito. The beef brisket was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the waffles were light and fluffy inside, perfectly golden and crispy on the outside. I enjoyed every bite! My husband commented that his chicken was also tender and juicy, and he found his mojito to be delicious—smooth and perfectly balanced. As an extra treat, the owners surprised us with a complimentary waffle flight that included chocolate, red velvet, green tea, and buttermilk waffles to take home. Overall, our experience was fantastic. I highly recommend Chicago Waffles West Loop as a great spot for breakfast or brunch with family, friends, or that special someone."
