"Upon arrival, I had to wait since there was a man in front of me who seemed to be dealing with a really complicated situation. However, a friendly woman soon seated me at a booth that could comfortably fit six people, with semi-circular padded seating. My server promptly came by with the menu and asked if I wanted something to drink. I opted for a Diet Coke, and since the bar was close by, my drink arrived quickly. It was refreshingly cold and just what I needed. My server was very attentive and made sure to refill my drink throughout the meal; I'll mention the nicest part about that at the end of this review.
I really enjoy dining at TGI Fridays and have a few go-to favorites that I always order. This time, I opted for a few appetizers instead of a full meal, so I wouldn't feel uncomfortably full afterward. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and the Pan-Seared Potstickers. My server noticed my choices were some of her favorites too, and I was glad to share good taste with her! My appetizers arrived quickly, and I had my phone out, scrolling through photos, when the food came.
The Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were crispy and filled generously with steak and veggies. The cheese dipping sauce made them absolutely delicious. The Pan-Seared Potstickers were also a hit; I first tried them in Rochester, MN (rest in peace, beloved restaurant). They were not overcooked, and the pork filling was flavorful and delightful, paired with the green dipping sauce that complemented them perfectly.
When I glanced at the dessert menu, I felt tempted and decided to order the Brownie Obsession with vanilla bean ice cream. It was supposed to have pecans on top, and my server kindly apologized for the oversight and asked if I was still okay with it as is. I appreciated her checking with me instead of just serving it without the pecans. The brownie was indulgently fudgy and moist, drizzled with rich chocolate sauce, making it a visually stunning dessert. The vanilla ice cream was excellent, especially with a touch of caramel drizzle. It wasn't overly sweet, making it a delightful treat even without the pecans.
After enjoying my meal, my server asked if I was ready for the bill. She double-checked everything, and just like every other TGI Fridays server I've encountered, she was attentive. In a thoughtful touch, she refilled my Diet Coke yet again, but this time she put it in a plastic cup with a lid for me to take with me. What a brilliant and unexpected gesture! More servers should adopt this practice, especially on such hot days when staying hydrated is crucial.
I paid with my credit card, and the transaction went smoothly. After wishing my server a great day, I headed to the restroom, which was clean and well-maintained. While I was in there, a thunderstorm rolled in, causing a leak from the ceiling that filled a bucket on the table near the restrooms. It wasn’t too bothersome, but I hope they address it soon.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. A combination of delicious food and an attentive server made the visit truly enjoyable."
