"There were 12 in our party and we made a reservation as was recommended by a friend. Upon arriving, we were seated quickly and the service could not have been better. The chef that took care of us was the center of the visit. He quickly made sure to address the children first and then put on a first rate performance as he prepared the food. The meal was delicious and I highly recommend everyone pay this restaurant a visit.By the time we were ready to leave. The place was nearly full with patrons and laughter. We could see the many tables interacting with their chef and enjoying their time as much as we did."

"We were hoping our hibachi experience would be similar to what we have had at Benihana. We will not be returning back after our dining experience. When we got there, we got seated right away because we had a reservation which worked out nice. The hibachi dining room is dark, very warm, and dirty. When we sat down, there was pieces of food left on the grill from the prior people which means it wasn’t clean very well prior to us coming. It took awhile to get service and receive the drinks we ordered. When the chef arrived, he seemed very upbeat and nice. He offered everyone saki and when he gave me saki he squirted a lot into my mouth to the point where it was overflowing out of my mouth. He proceeded to cook and put on a show for us. The chef came around for another round of saki and I said I was okay and he proceeded to put more saki in my mouth for again a long period of time. Towards the end, he asked again if I wanted more saki and I said no I don’t want any more and he STILL put more in my mouth. He didn’t respect what I wanted and it’s absolutely unacceptable that he gave me saki when I told him no. Don’t come here unless you are wanting to leave feeling drunk because you are pressured into drinking when you don’t want to. Horrible experience."

"This is our favorite sushi spot in Metro West, and it’s also the favorite restaurant of our young kids. The fish is incredibly fresh and served in generous portions, with reasonable prices and consistently high quality. Our top rolls are the Outstanding, Passion, and Fancy rolls. The avocado salad is massive. Our kids enjoy sharing the Beef Tataki, pork shumai, crab rangoon, and edamame appetizers as their meal. If you have dietary restrictions, this place is very accommodating for those with dairy allergies. Overall, it’s our kids’ favorite restaurant!"

"I'm glad I finally visited this restaurant because the food was incredible! We arrived quite late on a Tuesday, yet there was still a good crowd, although we easily found a place to sit. The ambiance is relaxed, featuring colorful mood lighting, a nice bar, and a somewhat separated dining area. I really enjoyed the energy in the place. The food was all fresh and expertly prepared. The yuzu scallop carpaccio was our favorite dish of the evening. We ordered the yakitori combo, which was a perfect portion for two to share. The truffle salmon nigiri was so delicious that we ended up ordering another serving. Everything else we sampled was also quite impressive. In total, we spent about $50 per person, which we felt was reasonable given the quality of the food. The service was nothing out of the ordinary, but the staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning!"

"I always enjoy getting food from Seafood Village. I’ve never been disappointed; everything is always fresh and full of flavor. My partner and I typically order the sweet potato tempura roll, shrimp tempura roll, harumaki, gyoza, and vegetable fried rice. We do like to try new things, but those are the staples we always come back to. The menu offers so many options as well. I discovered this gem while delivering for them through DoorDash, and I just had to give it a try. Since then, I’ve been recommending Seafood Village and singing its praises. I promise I’m not a bot; I just finally had the chance to give them a shoutout!"

"Eh...I ordered $175 worth of Alaskan king crab legs over Christmas break and they were underwhelming. A lot of broken legs and almost all small claws. They were not the large king crab legs that were available at other places. It was disappointing because after I unpacked them at home I went to Berkeley Bowl to grab groceries and they had king crab legs too. Their legs looked way better than the legs that I got from JR and only an extra $5 per pound. Would have been happy to pay extra for their legs. My advice would be to really look at your seafood over before you pay and walk away with you box. Ask to see the product before they swipe your card. Had I done that, I would have left the crab legs there and kept my $175 or asked for better legs) That was my bad don't make my mistake! JR has great prices but when you pay less for seafood it's likely because you're getting a lesser product : I know that now!"
