"I recently had breakfast at PJ Bernstein, a New York deli located near the hospital where I was visiting my new grandbaby. While I had high hopes for the meal, I was somewhat disappointed by the overall experience. To start, the tables were sticky, which was not a great first impression. It made me wonder about the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Additionally, my egg cream was too watery, which detracted from the overall flavor. While it was still drinkable, it was not up to the standard that I was hoping for.As for the food, I ordered my standard latkes, matzoh ball soup, and a Reuben sandwich. While the matzoh ball soup was flavorful and satisfying, the latkes had too much flour, which made them dry and a bit tough. This was a disappointment, as latkes are one of my favorite dishes and I was looking forward to them. The Reuben sandwich was good, but not outstanding. It was a bit dry and lacked the tangy flavor that I was hoping for. While the food was not exceptional, the service was decent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food was served in a timely manner. However, the lack of cleanliness and the disappointing latkes and egg cream detracted from the overall experience. In conclusion, while PJ Bernstein may have been a New York deli staple in the past, my recent experience left something to be desired. While the matzoh ball soup and Reuben sandwich were good, the latkes had too much flour and the egg cream was too watery. Additionally, the tables were sticky, which was a bit off-putting. While the service was decent, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a more satisfying New York deli experience"

"This was our 6th visit to Stephanie Inn over 10 years and the most special visit of all as were married there this Dec 2023! We truly enjoyed our December visit to the newly remodeled Stephanie Inn! We thought it was really nice before the remodel and we were afraid to go back as we thought it might lose its coziness, but it did not disappoint cozy factor still in place and upgrades to furniture are gorgeous and comfy! Hospitality of staff is still fantastic! My review is two parts for our stay and our wedding. Hotel Review: Stephanie Inn staff always makes us feel so welcome from the moment we arrive. They made sure to keep all the extra's such as free hot breakfast, cookies/scones coffee tea in lobby, happy hour with what I noticed to be enhanced warm appetizers and the nightcap are still in place, homemade limoncello was delicious! The daily housekeeping, nightly turndown service with chocolates, and arrival gift box with local treats is still there. They even added steamers to each room, and they still have the memory foam Temper Pedic mattresses. They removed the DVD players in place of an upgraded TVs and added HBO and a screencast option to access your apps. I could go on, but better to leave some surprises. All the traditions that make Stephanie Inn unique are still in place and then some! Wedding Review: We are in our 50’s so we wanted a small more initimate ceremony. Our wedding was only 10 people (including us) coordinated by the lovely Kate Sellem of Stephanie Inn who is delightful to work with and highly professional! I’ve been a corporate event manager for over 15 years and can honestly say Kate didn't miss a single event detail! Everything was perfectly planned from the billing to the intros of the vendors (officiant, photographer, florist) to the wedding itself, all seamlessly planned. We had our ceremony outside the Carriage House on the knoll where they provided seating with umbrellas due to misty light rain. Then we held a nice reception in the Carriage House Suite afterwards with cake, champagne and Hors d'oeuvres, the room fit 10 people well, they even brough in another table and chairs for seating. They offered to do the wedding/reception inside the library of the main Inn, but we wanted something more private, so the Carriage House Suite/Knoll option worked perfectly! We also hosted a group wine paring dinner for our guests that evening in the restaurant which was beautifully organized by the restaurant staff and chef Aaron! It was so nice to not have to worry about organizing these details and vendors as Kate did it all for us! The platinum elopement package is well worth the price and includes everything you could think of. She was able to adjust some things to the package that we didn’t want in place of other things so very flexible! It’s also nice only having to work with one person. If you are looking for a small intimate wedding with a few close family or friends, this is a wonderful option. They even set up a nice evening bonfire on the beach for our group the next day, which was such a unique experience and one of the highlights next to the wedding of course! For those who have visited the Stephanie Inn, I don't have to tell you how good the breakfast is and after the remodel it almost seems even better! Chef Aaron went the extra mile for our group reception requests, plus due to some food allergies he accommodated our dinner menu requests too. While I have seen a couple reviews on the portion sizes being smaller in the restaurant for wine pairing, we all thought the entrees were ample for a four course meal so maybe they have adjusted portions since past reviews. Very delicious plus they swapped out wine for beer/mixers for our friends who were not wine drinkers. In summary we really thought everything was perfect for our entire stay and the wedding! Kudos to Kate and all the Stephanie Inn staff for making our wedding day so memorable and one that we will never forget! Thank you for your hospitality! We can’t wait to return for our anniversary!"
