"We have been attending Colorado Mountain Brewery since it opened on the Westside. Thrilled for their presence, especially knowing the deep history of the roundhouse, The Golden Cycle Mill, the westside. Generally has been ok to at times very good. Depending on the choice of course. The beer has always been good to at time very good. Three months ago we held a large 70th birthday shindig. Went well. Service excellent. Food good to really good. However, overall the last few times otherwise have been trending to mediocre and lower. Yesterday tho was a new low. Unfortunately our service, server, flat out missed it. Had to repeatedly ask for things. No silverware, this after food was served. We thought we'd wait for her to notice. Didn't. Placed wrong order of food but by this time we were just not wanting to keep pushing to get things right. Server just plain missed things. They weren't that busy. So... sigh. Food was faltering. Sure, prices keep crawling up. Expect that. But for a $45 tab, the Reuben was dismal. The fish and chips passed, but barely. We chose from the menu, mainly from past experience. But this time everything missed. Must express that CMB is presenting as many food service businesses that get tired. Or precisely a lack imagination. Not only the menu lacks imagination, and this is after having been to CMB since it opened and have watched it over the years, but the food prep is hit and miss. Hard to mess up a Reuben and during the previous birthday party was good. This time tho... a tired, lazy slide. Going deeper, FIX YOUR TABLES. Years of wobbly tables. Sugar packets and sundry other things wedged under legs. Still. C'mon CMB, lazy. And yes, the business has long hours. Still, the floors were filthy, at 3pm. That was jaw dropping. Not crowded, have enough pride to pick up a broom for a few seconds? So, is sad to see a westside business present as tired. Now dropped from our West Side list. Sad for us."

"I have not been here for a long time, and so when I had to bring my sister to the airport, we decided to meet a friend for lunch here. It is like walking into an Italian restaurant in the 70's. Needs to be remodeled, but it's a local favorite. There are always people eating at the bar and the age group is 70+. Most have been coming here for years! The server I forgot her name was awesome. I ordered the Baked Scrod with seafood stuffing topped with lobster bisque and 2 Jr. Baked stuffed shrimp. Lunch portion $15.99. It comes with a choice of 2 sides potato and vegetable , a cup of soup, fresh Italian bread warm with butter. SO MUCH FOOD! I had a cup of the chicken escarole soup very good , baked potato with sour cream just ok , apple butternut squash delicious! . The Italian bread was fresh and warm really nice. The baked stuffed shrimp were a little over cooked but still good. I wish they had come with some melted butter as they were really dry. I did not like the fish with the scallop and shrimp stuffing with lobster bisque on top at all. The stuffing was wrapped in the fish filet, and while the out side was hot, the inside was barely warm. Scrod is a light flavored fish, but it seemed fishy to me. The lobster bisque on the top was good, but again, as a dish together, I did not like it. My sister had just the baked scrod with lobster bisque $12.99 and she enjoyed hers.. She had gotten a cup of white clam chowder, with rice pilaf and apple butternut squash as well. Our friend got the Baked Scrod $14.99 with a cup of escarole soup, French fries and apple butternut squash. As a local, she loves the chicken escarole soup and apple butternut squash and has been coming for years and years. Lots of food for very good prices. Of course I wil be back, but I won't be ordering that again."
