"Where do I even begin? The food? The staff? I used to think that all burgers were pretty much the same, but I was completely mistaken. When I took a bite of my burger, it felt like I was transported back to my childhood; it represented innocence in its purest form. I’ve often wondered why people write Google reviews, and I have to admit that 54th Street inspired me to do just that. You might be curious about what I ordered, but I won’t spoil the surprise. You’ll just have to experience it for yourself. I won't forget my time at 54th Street. I highly recommend it—10/10!"

"My meal from here was actually much better than I was expecting. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak w/ Gravy, Baked Beans, Mac Cheese, Peach Tea. The Chicken Fried Steak was very good tasted fresh, it was not ur average frozen patty. The Mac Cheese was alright, although it was a lil' too thick, needed to be looser I would've preferred ur traditional macaroni noodles instead of the cavatapi noodles, but it was edible. The Baked Beans were tasty, although they were also very thick they had a distinctive taste of Chili Powder. My Peach Tea needed to be mixed much better as the Peach syrup was all at the bottom of my cup. Overall it was a decent meal I would probably visit again. My biggest complaint would be: #1. They need to have a area on their online ordering where U can make Special Request to ur order, as I called immediately after placing my order online to add to my order the girl told me that I couldn't do it, because they were already preparing the order?? All I wanted was to add extra gravy!! If I'm paying for it, what difference does it make when they are preparing the order?? "

"The list of positives is short, so I 'll do it first the food served was quailty and we didn 't have to wait for a table on a Friday evening. The list of negatives is longer. 54th has removed so many items from the menu that figuring out what to order is a chore. I ordered an El Perfecto margarita and after discussing choices of tequila with the server, I finally just opted for house tequila. I was still charged an extra dollar for this!! It was also not mixed and had visible layers of sweet and sour mix and liquor in the glass. The El Perfecto also used to be served in a shaker container with a martini glass, and this wasn 't. The server didn 't know what I was talking about when I tried to tell him that it wasn 't the drink I was expecting. We ordered hot wings, and it came with a container of ranch that was approx. 2 ounces. We immediately ordered another ranch, and then sat there waiting for it for nearly 10 minutes, while the wings got cold and the children (who won 't eat hot wings without it) complained that they were hungry. The extra ranch came on top of our dinner order and no one likes to eat their appetizer with their dinner. 2 of my party had ordered iced tea and had to ask, and then also wait for, sweeteners. Our meals were good, as stated. But, when the bills arrived hoo boy!! No where was it posted that parties of 4 or more, which is NOT a large group, would automatically be charged 15% gratuity. To make this issue worse, it was broken up into 2 separate charges on the bill: gratuity and service fee, which was very confusing. After we left, we tried to call the 800 , which directed us to first call the store we had eat at, and when we did, no one answered. Luckily for us and not for them, 2 people in my group happen to be class action attorneys and are currently researching this."

"Recently revisited this restaurant and once again tried the Madeira chicken. Along with that, I ordered a salad and requested for it to be served first. Unfortunately, I had to remind the waiter about the salad after our meals had already been brought to the table. The waiter's speech was too unclear for my brother and I to hear, leading us to ask him to repeat himself."

"I've been coming to this 54th location for the past eight years, visiting 2 to 4 times a week, often bringing my coworkers along. I genuinely appreciate the lunch shift workers; they make me feel right at home. The kindness and compassion displayed by the staff is remarkable. The food is consistently excellent and fresh, and the place is impeccably clean. I could go on and on, but the truth is I keep coming back for the wonderful afternoon team, who have turned my bad days into good ones and made my good days even better. They truly go above and beyond to take care of their customers, treating everyone like family. This place feels like Cheers, where everyone knows your name. Thank you to the amazing staff—I love all of you!"

"I should have paid more attention to the 1 rating for this restaurant! We ordered salads and beverages and told the waiter we had tickets to a show and wanted to place order right away. Our waiter was nice and accommodating. When our salads arrived, my daughter’s had a hair right on top of her chicken breast!! The strawberry lemonade was watered down and didn’t taste right. She switched to a soda and sent the salad back to be replaced. We waited quite awhile and finally our waiter came over and asked if the manager had been over. He had not. Waiter apologized for the delay. Ten minutes before we needed to leave the manager finally brought the salad! The manager could have cared less about the hair on top of the salad or the delay in getting our replacement order. He did not apologize, didn’t even acknowledge the problem and took nothing off the bill! Hard to believe! We will not be returning to this restaurant. The waiter did his job and seemed truly concerned for our bad experience. Poor management and questionable cleanliness at this place. After submitting my review, I went to read my review and the number of stars had been changed from what I selected. I’ve completing it again and am resubmitting."

"I 've been coming to this location since they opened. My friends and I enjoyed the drinks and food. Lately, customer service has declined dramatically. On 22 Aug '24 I arrived around 3:30 and was served a drink and given a menu. Afterwards, I was ghosted. Nothing, no acknowledgment until about 5:15 when I asked to speak with a manager. About 20 minutes later, someone, not the manager, showed up. I explained the situation and he proceeded to let me know he would get the manager. About 15 minutes later the manager showed up, gave a scripted apology, blamed it on the shift change and offered to cover the cost of my $6.50 drink. Sir, multiple people have shown up AND gotten drinks and food since shift change. No thank you. I can afford to pay for my drink. HORRIBLE customer service."

"Time arrived 4pm on a Saturday (not busy . Party of 4 First and foremost, the service during our visit was horrible. When I first walked in, it took the staff about to minutes to acknowledge I was even standing there (after they were done looking at their phones . Once I was able to be added to the list the wait time was fairly short only took about 8 minutes for the text to come thru on my phone informing me the table was ready. My wife, 2 kids and I were seated and our waiter immediately came to take our drink orders (did not provide his name later found out his name is Adrian our receipt . My wife, daughter and I ordered unsweetened tea while my son ordered Sprite. We received our drinks but there was no sugar provided (or any on the table . My wife also noticed there was a lipstick stain on her glass. When we were finally able to get our waiter 's attention we informed him of the tainted cup and our lack of sugar. We responded, oh ok , took my wife 's glass and headed off into the kitchen. He returned moments later with few packets of sugar and a new glass of tea only this time there was no ice. When asked why, the waiter replied, I could of sworn I heard 'no ice '... be right back before walking away again. After about 10 minutes (and several passes from the waiter we still did not receive the cup of Ice and we assumed our waiter just forgot our request so we had to remind him once again and he finally returned with the cup of ice. The service didn 't improve from there we had to request silverware for the table once our food arrived and both times we requested refills for our drinks our server Adrian appeared to be annoyed by the request. On the plus side, the food didn 't take long to come out. We all ordered burgers that were seasoned well (and the fries were great! . If you can make it past the service staff, there 's some potentially good food to be had here, it 's just not worth the hastle for me personally given that there are many other restaurant choices in the area. Would not eat here again"

"Absolutely visit this place—the food is outstanding, the staff is incredibly friendly, and as someone who gets excited about anything mechanical, I was fascinated by their ceiling fans. They’re belt-driven and connected by massive belts over 10 feet long that stretch all the way across the ceiling to a large central motor. Additionally, the artwork and interesting decorations on the walls make it a fun place to explore. Be sure to try the ribs and chicken tender platter, and definitely order the mashed potatoes with gravy. You’ll thank me later!"

"I visited this restaurant last weekend with a group of around 12 people, most of whom were kids. We all ordered the kids' chicken fingers and fries. Unfortunately, none of the kids finished their meals because the chicken was extremely dry and even ketchup couldn't improve the taste. We decided not to complain and instead paid for our meals and found food elsewhere for the kids. Overall, the chicken fingers were very dry and disappointing."

"We visited from out of state on a Monday evening when the restaurant was not too busy. I was immediately captivated by the unique and eclectic atmosphere of the place. The highlight of our visit was our waitress, Jena, who provided exceptional service. She not only catered to our dining needs but also offered insightful recommendations for local attractions. Her positive and outgoing attitude made our first visit to Missouri feel incredibly welcoming, and the food was fantastic. We tried the tater tots, which were very tasty. I ordered the fried chicken, and everything on my plate was spot on—the gravy was a particular standout, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My colleague had the half chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. We would definitely come back, not just for the delicious food but also for Jena’s outstanding service."

"My mom decided to stop by to pick up dinner on the way home from the hospital. Timothy took her order, asked how she was doing and she told him that things havent been great lately (my grandma had a heart attack). Then when it came time to pay he said it was already taken care of. He even refused a tip. My mom started crying (happy tears). She says its one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for her and is so happy to see that there are still good people out there. It was really nice to see her smile after everything thats been happening recently. I just wanted to show my appreciation and thank Timothy again! May God bless him! Also, the food is always amazing- keep it up chick-fil-a!! You all rock!!"
