"There were four of us for dinner. The appetizers were good but unfortunately, two of our dinners were super salty. The food was good but not great which was disappointing. It was very busy for a Tuesday night but the staff was very attentive. The menu has a lot of choices and they were flexible to make two meals vegetarian which was appreciated but it was the two vegetarian meals that were oversalted. Maybe they were trying to make sure they were tasty. We will try again, we like to try each place two to three times to get a clear picture of the meals and restaurant."

"Mediocre at best. The squirrel fish was decent, nice flavor, but a bit soggy. The menu described the seafood delight as having shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, and squid; shrimp/veggies were good, but the squid was overcooked to the point of being inedible, the crabmeat was fake crab and also overcooked to the point of being soggy/slimy, and there were no scallops when I asked about the scallops, they said they ran out and gave us extra shrimp and (bad) squid, instead... should have told us that when we ordered. Even the steamed rice tasted like it had been sitting for an hour. Server also vanished and never checked in on us after leaving the food, we had to grab a busser to ask for another drink. Won 't be returning."

"i have zero complaints about our experience here! we've been looking for a place to be our new go to, and i think we found it in miss saigon! the service was insanely fast, and super friendly. the prices were super cheap and reasonable. and the food was SO GOOD! i would die for their peanut sauce!! we got the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce which were excellent. i got the number 18 with a side of curry sauce and it was so delicious, the noodles were perfect, the veggies were perfect, and the curry tasted so good on top of everything. the ginger on the noodles was subtle but tasty. my partner got the 48 and said it was delicious, the chicken was cooked so well and the curry was perfectly delicious. her only complaint was that there weren't more veggies in the dish. we will absolutely be back here!!! i love it thanks!"

"The experiences at Top Wok can vary from one visit to another. There are days when the food might not be as good as usual, but keep in mind that this is a small, locally-owned restaurant, often described as a "hole in the wall." As someone who has been a patron for years, I can confidently say that the food is delicious and likely among the best Chinese cuisine available in San Pedro. I've never heard of anyone from my friends or family getting sick after dining there. If you had a less-than-stellar first visit, I encourage you to give Top Wok another chance. Be sure to try their 'orange chicken' or 'house special lo mein.' While the prices can be on the higher side, I believe the effort that goes into preparing quality Chinese food justifies the cost. When ordering online for delivery, you can expect a generous meal for just under $20, which includes a 20% tip and delivery fee. If price is a concern, consider ordering from their lunch specials. Overall, while Top Wok may not be a flawless Chinese restaurant, the staff is genuine, and I've enjoyed nearly every meal I've had there. I would gladly recommend it to others."

"When I arrived, I was shocked to see a bill for $68. The young man at the front explained that the rice and snow peas were treated as separate orders and that the small box of shrimp I ordered cost $18! I was visibly upset and expressed my frustration, but he went ahead and processed the payment. Not wanting to create a scene, I left, still in disbelief. Once I got to my car, I decided to call back to convey my dissatisfaction. I explained my feelings about not being given a total over the phone, but he only offered me a $2.75 credit for the rice. I had just left a $6 tip, and while he mentioned he would remember this for future customers, it didn’t help my situation. As a business owner myself, I would have handled the confusion differently. If there was an issue with an order, I would have removed the incorrect items right away, and if a customer called back just minutes after leaving, I would have invited them to return to rectify the situation. Ensuring guests leave happy is a priority for me, and that clearly didn't happen here. The experience still bothers me the next morning, though I know I need to move on. On the brighter side, the food is usually quite good, and we had a pleasant meal here in December. However, the food seemed greasier than before, and to be fair, my dining companion, who was unaware of my earlier experience, made the same comment. I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars because the food and service have been quite good in the past. However, I will seek out a different restaurant next time I want to order takeout or dine in."

"I've been coming to China Bee on the regular since moving to San Mateo 5+ years ago.The food is delicious, thats a given; the prior reviews speak for themselves. But what's equally if not more impressive is how Nancy and the Team treat their customers. Consistently kind, curious and considerate ALWAYS smiling and asking about us. Thank you Nancy and Team for the great food and great service!!PS: The Onion Noodles are a hit with my young kiddos literally their favorite food of all time."

"For appetizers, his favorite was the roasted wontons, which were generously filled cheese puffs in a fully crispy shell. I enjoyed the unique shrimp toast served on crostini, topped with a delicate shrimp spread that was crispy at the edges. The egg rolls, filled with cabbage and pork, had a distinct flavor on their own, but the hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce really brought everything together. We also tried the hot and sour soup, which had a perfect balance of heat along with mushrooms and vegetables. The wonton soup was our favorite, featuring large, delicate wontons in a light vegetable broth. The service was exceptional; our server Joyce was polite, courteous, and attentive throughout our meal. We look forward to returning to try more dishes at lunchtime prices."

"We were in town meeting friends for the weekend. The weather and covid limited our options for dinner. Looking for a reasonably priced food we could take out. We settled on chinese from Han Dynasty as a reasonable option, expecting standard fare. We were so surprised. Each dish was better than the next. Dan Dan noodles, dumplings in Chili sauce, hot pot, dry pot, honey shrimp. All outstanding. Dishes as recommended were quite spicy. Ordering on line was a snap. Food was ready on time. This is going to be a standard whenever we are in town."

"Ordered: summer rolls, Vietnamese coffee and bbq chicken with riceAtmosphere: very open space, casual attire, very cold temperature. Had no greeting stand but had to walk down a long lane towards the cash register at the end of the restaurant to obtain seating. All of the workers were very polite and patient. Pricing: $50 with total check and tipFood: Vietnamese coffee small amount of coffee and not as strong dose of caffeine as I wanted. A lot more creaminess with the condensed milk Summer rolls had a good ration amount for veggies and noodles. I like that they didn't Jam Pack the roll with noodles for filler. The proteins were perfectly cooked, nothing was raw or tough Bbq chicken with rice portion is pretty big but fire the price I would hope so. The bbq chicken was roasted very well and was juicy in the middle. The rice is coated with oil and green onions. You get a side serving of pho broth which is nice and the salad has its own vinaigrette dressing which was niceOverall, great food and service but very expensive meal"

"I came here for the first time based on a coworkers recommendation. I had to come back a second time because I was craving the spring rolls on a hot day. For both of my visits I ordered takeout. During my first visit I ordered at the restaurant and the second time I ordered ahead for pick up. If you're going to take it to-go, ordering ahead is the way to go. I ordered through the yelp app and was able to schedule the food to be ready by the time I got off of work. They have a spacious dining area with many seating options but sadly I didn't have anyone to join me. So far I've tried the Bahn Mi sandwich, chicken spring rolls, beef spring rolls, crispy rolls, and the noodle beef bowl, and the Vietnamese coffee. Everything I've had has been tasty and generously portioned. You can make a few meals out of these dishes. The chicken spring rolls have been my favorite. The chicken is tender and flavorful. The dipping sauce a combo peanut chili sauce. I liked that it wasn't too thick like some peanut sauces can be. These also hold up well when transporting home. One thing that I would advise again is ordering the crispy rolls to go. By the time I got home they were a bit soggy and the lettuce wraps had wilted so those should be eaten at the restaurant. They were still really delicious and had a great vinegary dipping sauce. I'll definitely be back for more spring rolls. I also noticed they have some Korean options so I'll have to come back to try those too."

"This was horrible. My friend and I went here for lunch after a meeting at UCLA, we walked in to order and pay and the lady taking our order was extremely rude. She also made both of us pay a two-dollar service fee after we had paid the price of ourfood and tax. A sneaky way of getting a tip, there were mere pennies in the tip jar! Now for the sickening food. My friendordered the house-special beef noodle soup and I ordered the spicy beef noodle. You 'd expect the house special to be one oftheir best meals.... but no. The noodles were overcooked for both of our meals, the broth had no flavor, and the meat was waytoo fatty. My friend and I had about 3 bites of our meals before feeling sickly. I wouldn 't even give this a star. Verydispleased."
