"Long But Worth Reading? I came to this location on 12/06 for Dinner. We first waited 20 mins to be seated (to be expected), the front person seated us w/ another family after us saying multiple times were NOT together. I know at hibachi you sit w/ ppl youdon?t know sometimes; but this party was Large. My family I had to squeeze in keep shifting around. After waiting another 20mins for our drink order, we were told we had to move to another table bc the one we were at was broken?. This is what?sIMPORTANT; after being seated I saw signs that says Hibachi experience is an additional 18%, using a debit/credit is anadditional 3.5% (who uses cash in 2022) When I asked why 18%, I was told because the Chefs don?t make much this is their tip.Speaking as a Chef, I think it?s absurd that the customers has to pay 18% more, bc this establishment is TOO CHEAP to pay theircooks a living wage. (YES I BELIEVE IN TIPPING, But I should decide how much to tip) FYI, Before you order you?re already paying21.5%? The Chef was nice, friendly professional. The soup was very good packed with flavor. The entree was good, the veggieswas tender. Due to the 21.5% I can?t see myself coming back?"

"We took our grandma there for her birthday because it's her favorite restaurant. The service was excellent, and our waitress was wonderful. The chef who cooked in front of us was fantastic; he had everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. It was far from boring, unlike some other places we've been to. When it was time to sing happy birthday, they surprised us by bringing out drums. We had an amazing time! It's definitely a place I would visit again."

"The restaurant features a charming and spotless atmosphere. The sushi is truly exceptional—I would easily give it a five-star rating. This was my second visit, and both times have been fantastic. On my first trip, I enjoyed fresh sushi at the sushi bar, and their volcano sushi was particularly impressive. I also loved the steakhouse section where they serve traditional Japanese steak. Today, I chose the bento box lunch special in the main dining area, which offers great value for money. Overall, I would rate this place five stars!"

"The food was enjoyable, though there's room for improvement. The spring rolls and volcano roll were tasty, but the chicken and beef teriyaki could use a bit more attention. I’d like to extend my gratitude to the lady who took our order and served us; she was attentive and checked in with us before clearing our plates. However, the person at the front desk could benefit from a friendlier demeanor. The restroom was clean and well-maintained. Overall, both the service and food could be enhanced. I would recommend giving it a try and sharing your thoughts in a review."

"It was my first time there in two years And the food was still good. I always sit at the sushi bar and when doing so I’m always given a complementary appetizer, which today was crab tempura salad. The food was good and didn’t take too much time tocome out. I’m giving it a four star because on first arriving we were seated and left unattended for almost 10 minutes beforewe were even given water. I also didn’t like when I asked the waitress if I could have my sushi with the rice on the outsideof the nori instead of the inside she told me it would be an up charge. This is something I’ve never heard of at anyrestaurant, so I immediately bypassed her and went straight to the sushi guy and he told me that that was not correct, that theyhave never done that before. So I’m not sure if she just made that up off the top of her head for whatever reason or wasattempting to get extra money from me. It wasn’t a really busy day and there were plenty of waitresses to meet the need of thecustomers but they weren’t really attentive either. Other than that I would still visit again but it wouldn’t be my firstchoice"

"This is hands down one of my favorite sushi restaurants but I can’t give it the 5 stars I want to give it because of certain caveats. Here’s the down low on the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Let’s start with the good. The sushi is expertly and exceptionally prepared. It is not only fresh, and beautifully plated but it comes with an array of crafted sauces that are divine! I’ve eaten at A LOT of sushi restaurants, high end and not so high end, since sushi is my all time favorite food and I have yet to find a spot that makes sushi better than Ume (which used to be Rusans back in the day and still serves several of Rusans original dishes like the Big Eye, Ocean’s 11 and Spicy Chicken Yaki udon.. all delicious by the way). Not only is the sushi the best you’ll ever eat, but they are not chintzy on portion sizes either. I would highly recommend the Cherry Blossom, Tuna Dumplings, and the Lobster King crab roll. Into spicy? Then the AK47 is where it’s at! Now for the bad. The entire 4 stars is for the food alone. It probably should be 3 stars but the food is just that good. The ambiance, however, is not so great. The restaurant needs to upgrade the seating, the decor, and the restrooms desperately. A couple of years ago they were working towards this goal but they seem to be struggling to get back on track after the pandemic. To make matters much much worse, they seem to be really struggling with finding enough staff to service the dining room adequately. It appears that many customers go with the takeout option as my husband and I are often one of just a handful of customers in the dining room lately, if not the only customers… and this restaurant used to be packed a few years ago. The Ugly is how bad the staffing situation has gotten …while I am a huge fan of kids and I think it is important that they learn a strong work ethic, I don’t really want to be served by them when I go out for a meal. While this only happened once, if it had been my first time eating here, I might not have come back. Dining out is as much about the experience as it is the food. I hope they are able to find more staff soon and can get back on track again towards being a phenomenal restaurant!"

"I ordered a to go order. I was told 10 minutes. I sat down and waited, other customers came in and they were served their food. There was a table with six men obviously having the all you can eat sushi. They all ordered more sushi ate and paid their checks. All this time I'm still waiting for a simple to go order. They realized they never put my order in and No said anything or apologized for my wait. When he finally brought my order I expressed my annoyance and had already asked for my card to be credited. (Which she nodded at me and proceeded to ring several checks from the men. I have always enjoyed this restaurant and have never had service or been treated like this before. The biggest disappointment was the excuses and no acknowledgement of their mistake. A simple I'm sorry would have sufficed. I just took my food and did not let her credit my card."

"First time and I was in awe! The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing, very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is a little small, but I love how they utilized the space. The food was very good 8/10 for me. From the apps to the entree, everything was delicious. It was my first time trying sushi and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be back here again. "The service at the restaurant was outstanding—very attentive and prompt. However, I had a major issue with flies in the establishment. I simply can't eat in a place with flies buzzing around, so I decided to pack up my food and take it home. As for the combo hibachi plate, it was just average. It included shrimp, scallops, chicken, and steak. I really enjoyed the flavor of the shrimp and steak, but the chicken was bland, although it was tender. The scallops were acceptable as well. Unfortunately, the shrimp roll was quite disappointing; it tasted old and overly greasy."

"The food here is fantastic! However, the small portion sizes relative to the high prices are disappointing. I would dine here regularly if it weren't so pricey. I can get a lot more sushi for less money at Shop Rite, and it's just as fresh and tasty, though there aren't as many combination options as at Sushi Lover. Overall, I'm unlikely to return until I get my tax refund because, as mentioned, the prices are too high."

"Please beware all families getting take out here I have dined here before in the past with no problems and got way more food for less it was very sad how they handled this situation but if you are on the go and you want to carry out for a family dinner expect way less these prices aren’t cheap to get take out for your family they shorted us small portions for our meals and we called them for the difference and they wouldn’t honor it or give a refund after we spent 178.00 in take out for our family and I always tip if I dined in or take out it looked like they took two meals and split it with six different plates I still had to cook that night after I ordered for my five kids which I was tired already but the food wasn’t enough for them or my husband I don’t even like to give bad reviews when I know they serve good food but this was absolutely ridiculous please if you eat here and order take out don’t allow this to happen to you but they wouldn’t honor a refund either after we ordered steak hibachi and two chicken hibachi adults plates and two kids chicken hibachi plates and a empires plate steak chicken and shrimp basically no steak or shrimp two soups and calamari sounds like a great deal and tipped but they basically made all the plates a kids plate is how it came out to be and it came out too fast tied up tightly at the top of each bag you would literally have to rip it open to check the food the bag that is they careless about there customers and taking advantage of hard working American dollars really crawled under my skin Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
