Disappointed for that bc we came to see the live orchids and bromeliads and palms like in the past. Oh well it’s understandable w this economy but wish they didn’t let the plants go . "I've been a kid since I was and I'm so glad they have great vegan options! there is a whole vegetarian section on the menu with teller A-G, and most of them can be made vegan by holding the cheese/sahne. there is also a quantity of meat dishes that can be subbedded for beans and this is marked clearly on the menu. When I asked our server if the vegetarian fajitas court comes with cheese, she knew exactly what I meant and asked no milk. very recommend the vegetarian Fajita plate (without cheese and acid cream), it is huge! they also get unlimited chips and salsa while waiting for the food to come."

"We’ve had El Toro quite a bit over the past year, 50% of the time doing a take out order. The price for the Burrito Ruletta according the takeout menu they provide is 11.95. We put in our regular order of 2 of those to go. My husband returned home confused as the total price was 33.69. That’s 16.84 per meal. We thought well, with inflation and everything maybe they increased their prices, but yikes that’s a big jump. Well I hopped on door dash as they do use that service and lo and behold, the B.R. Is actually only $10.24 on there. We could have had it delivered for a total of $23.09 and saved $10.60!! So we had planned to call about the pricing tomorrow. BUT then we opened our meals and find out not only were they missing ingredients all together, but the burritos were about a 1/5 the size as they’ve always been. Their burritos in the past have made you full before you eat even half. In this case, the burritos were limp and empty. They had maybe a couple pieces of chicken in them all together, mine was basically all green pepper and my husbands all onion. They were practically empty vegetable burritos. We’ve loved eating their food, but to pay a significant increase and get 1/5 of the food, disappointing is an understatement."

"Upon sitting down, we ordered waters and asked our waitress for two separate baskets of chips and salsa since we tend to go through one quickly, which would save her time. We ordered fajitas and queso to share, but since we had just come from a funeral, we weren’t particularly hungry. The waitress asked if we still wanted the salad, rice, and beans that typically accompany the meal. A bit confused, we agreed. When the food arrived, each of us received a "fajita side salad." We didn't raise any concerns, assuming that this was standard when sharing fajitas. However, the fajitas themselves lacked flavor. After finishing our meal, the waitress brought us the check, and to our surprise, we were charged for extra chips, extra salsa, and the extra side salad. I approached the waitress to clarify why we were charged for items that are typically complimentary. She explained that we were billed because we had two baskets at once. If we had requested a refill later, it would have been free. I told her that I’ve never been charged for chips and salsa at any El Loro before, to which she responded that this was a new policy implemented a year ago due to some customers only ordering chips and salsa. However, we had clearly ordered a full meal and I shared that I had visited multiple El Loro locations in the past year without any issues. I asked if there were any signs in the restaurant or on the menu indicating this charge, but she said there weren't. I requested to speak to a manager, but she just stared at me and did not respond. I repeated my request, but nothing changed. I explained my reasoning for wanting a refund for the chips and salsa, as I believed both baskets should have been complimentary, but she maintained that we were charged because we received them simultaneously. After attempting to reason with her for a while with no resolution, I paid the bill and left. I have no plans to return to this location and will be advising everyone I know to steer clear as well."

"I am not one to complain.. but I have never been this dissatisfied with my food before. We have been anxiously awaiting getting El Loro for dinner all week. We placed a to go order around 5:20pm and when we showed up there was maybe 3 cars in the parking lot. We ordered our food to-go tonight as we wanted to go home and relax. Our bill was $45... we ordered sides of rice because neither of our meals came with any. It was quite a bit extra for the rice.. we started to eat andrealized the rice WAS NOT COOKED. It was beyond hard and crunchy with no flavor at all.. I ordered a burrito with steak,chicken, and shrimp.. all of which were dry and flavorless. There was supposed to be sautéed peppers, onions, andtomatoes in my burrito as well.. there was maybe one tiny piece of onion. My husband ordered a steak burrito. He had a ton of veggies that tasted like nothing except old oil. Not to mention he maybe had 3 tiny dry pieces of steak. We endedup having to throw all of our food away and order from another place. Super disappointed!!"

"What a delightful Mexican restaurant! Everything was fantastic. The wait was short, the staff was friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean, the music added to the atmosphere, and the food, oh my goodness, it was amazing. There are many Mexican restaurants around, but this one truly exemplifies great Mexican cuisine. My partner had the medium rare carne asada, which melted in their mouth. I had the spinach enchiladas with white sauce, and they were the best I have ever tasted. If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant, this is it! We will definitely be coming back, and we will bring anyone we want to impress here."

That 's all I can rely on for things. Places, people sight unseen !!! AND for me, 9 tines out of 10 IT WORKS!!!!! John answered my call last Wednesd, his knowledge, patience, tone, excellent customer service, honesty, professionalism and compassionate spirit, I WAS SOLD INSTANTLY!!!!!! I gave my son our meeting location, both ETAs were 7-7:15 pm I arrived 1st, went in quickly to meet John, check out the place was very pleased!! My son showed up shortly we had an amazing dinner, he had 3 tacos, I had veggie quasidillas, rice beans and of course a margarita!!! John and Roy are amazing !!! Three Amigos.!!!!!!!!.......... great food, prices, mags, atmosphere, location, cleanliness, customer service!!! "Youre paying for the fine dining brand name. I have heard alot of this place, good things to mainly on how fancy it is. But thats how the food is. Good presentation but really no flavor. I had the famed empanadas and some fish tacos. I know, i know, i didnt go for their flagship items but still, it nust be hard to screw up the little leagues. Well, thats how it was. The battered fish tacos were like eating styrofoam. The flavor came from the sauces which shouldnt be. The tortilla was the for an american palate and nothing like what taste of mexico should. The empanadas were better but nothing amazing. Average. The meat inside was like mushy but stringy. Like a pate with meat threads. Honestly, i am glad i did not buy their 75/100 plates. I could go buy steaks and lobster elsewhere or even make it myself. I did order a tiny 7dollar desert wine. It was cute and sweet. But i got a taste so thats that. Their 2 stars are for the waiter. He was amazing. Very good at multitasking and making you feel welcome. He was not much older than the rest of the young staff, but you could tell he was a lead or superior. He alone coukd earn the place reputation. Back to the food; I dont really recommend these kind of places unless in old town. I can handle mediocre mexican food in old town because its alot cheaper making it better!"

"Fresh guacamole was excellent. We ordered 3 different meals and not only was it the freshest Mexican food we have had, it tasted fantastic. Plenty of food in each meal, and sides were also great. I ordered 2 shrimp and 1 fish tacos, had to bring one home. Homemade flour tortillas, puffy, soft, and large enough to hold the shrimp and white fish in there. Wife's frozen strawberry margarita was perfect. Our son mentioned this was his favorite Tex Mex restaurant and now I see why. So full we had to pass on the fried ice cream.
